3.5⭐️ A cute romcom that features a slow burn romance and great chemistry between the main characters Jane and Henry. Featuring enemies to lovers, hidden identity, and all the emotions!
I listened to the audio format which was performed by Rachel L. Jacobs and I thought it was great. Each emotion was spot on and brought to life.
*many thanks to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

A fake identity, a fabulous set of clothes and riches, a famous Formula One Driver—this has all the elements that will bring readers of sports romances, dream lives, and friendship-loving readers flocking.
Jane Drisdol is a bridesmaid-for hire. In this case, she's taken on the fake identity of Elle Vaughn—a socialite, debutant, and the bride’s childhood friend. But to her dismay, before she's in character, she has a rude run-in with the bride's brother. Henry Norris, also a Formula 1 star (of course), immediately suspects that something is up—and he's determined to figure out what. Great tension, chemistry, and peek inside how the other half lives.

This story was so much fun and I loved the concept. Jane's business has her renting herself out as a bridesmaid. This time, however, she is posing as a real person. After a run in at the airport she makes it to the bride's home and has another run in with the same person, the bride's brother. She is used to making up stories to do her "job" but what happens when feelings and chemistry is involved? Henry is a famous Formula One driver and he is sure there is something suspicious going on. A misunderstanding between the two blows everything up but will they find their way back together?

This was such a cute story and the Narrator was also enjoyable.
Jane, our leading lady is a bridesmaid for hire. But, not just any bridesmaid. Jane own’s Her own company catering to brides in need. So, when Jane is hired to play the role of Elle Vaughn, a socialite and supposed childhood bestie to the bride, Jane is not phased. That is, until secrets start to slip that Jane wasn’t told and things start to heat up between the brides brother, Henry, and Jane. Watching the story unfold and how Jane navigates such an interesting landscape that Marina Adair painted for us was fascinating. Highly enjoyable read/listen!

This was a really sweet, fluffy and easy listen with a trope that I usually can’t stand, but in this I felt it was really well done!
Jane is a bridesmaid for hire, and she was such a great and loyal protagonist to follow. As much as I dislike the miscommunication trope, with her signing a NDA it’s understandable for her character. I like the interactions between her and her friends and clients, and loved the chemistry and interactions between her and the MMC, Henry.
Now, I personally had a bit of a bug bear with this book but I think overall people will love it! For me, as a Brit who does in fact watch F1, I found it very awkward for the character to have the last name of someone currently driving in F1. Whether it was intentional or not on the authors side, everytime he was referred to as Norris I just had Lando in my head. Furthermore, as great as the narrator was, the fact that Henry -from a struggling single parent home Henry- had THE poshest British accent in the world really jarred and took me from the story.
But overall the was a sweet and steamy sports romance!

This was a cute fun romance.
I like both main characters and although this has some tropes and plot I've seen/read before it was a really entertaining and enjoyable read.
The narration was fun and engaging.
Overall this was great.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the blurb and the story is great. 3.5 stars! I don't think I'll relate to Jane, but she's fun to get to know and root for, and Henry is really sexy and infuriating like advertised! I think I would have enjoyed it more if I read this instead of listened to it. The audiobook narration is not my favorite and it has affected how much I go back to the story.

This book was a nice and easy read ( or listen in this case) I enjoyed both of our characters. I liked the insta love aspect especially since the majority of the plot happens in a short timespan. Overall this was a quick read and perfect for the spring and summer.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC (well audiobook in this case).
Solid 4/5 stars. 3.5/5 for the spice.
I like it when the characters know who they are as people. It makes it easier to root for them throughout the plot.
Knocked a star off the rating only because there wasn't enough of a "this is all going to shit" moment for the protagonist. Jane's point of no return wasn't sustained long enough. You know the abyss of "I've lost everything and don't know what to do" before everything gets better? I wish there was a little more of it.
Granted it's a short book. But it would've been nice to see Jane and Henry struggle for their romance a little more. Would've also loved to see more of the F1. It was such an untapped part of the plot.
Definitely a cozy read with just the right amount of spice in it. Will I recommend this to a friend? Maybe. It depends on who is asking.

This is the story of Jane who acts as a bridesmaid for brides who don’t have appropriate friends to do the job themselves. The whole premise sounds a bit suspect to me – is this actually a job? Jane is acting as a stand in for Elle, who was to be Sarah’s bridesmaid, but Elle has let Sarah down by disclosing some secret about her brother Henry, a world famous F1 driver. Henry is well known for his womanising but when he meets Jane AKA Elle he is instantly smitten. Jane is trying to avoid Henry’s advances and to be as professional as possible but is finding him increasingly difficult to resist. This should have been a fun cosy read but I found the audio book that I was reviewing slightly irritating. The narrator was an American woman and given that the majority of the characters were British I found the accent quite grating. Henry’s accent in particular was quite odd. I rarely start reading a book without finishing it but on this occasion I found I just did not want to continue. Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me an ARC of this book.

Funny, cute, and original, I enjoyed Marina Adair's Always a Bridesmaid.
These are some interesting characters and it's fun to watch as they make their way through this one lol. Adair does a nice job with all the twists and turns this story takes. I like the idea of this business and wish I'd had a bridesmaid to hire who could have fixed all the bumps leading up to my wedding.
The audio version is very nicely performed by Rachel L. Jacobs. Jacobs has her work cut out for her with this huge variety of characters and accents! Wow, nice work.

This one was alright. I like that people are finally writing about some of the lesser popular sports- like this one talking about Formula 1. I thought that the FMC in this one was determined and cute but I love how hard she fell for the MMC, too.

This audio book was such a fun listen! I wish it was longer. I enjoyed the Formula 1 part of the story and now I need to check out more racing books. Also I loved the idea of a bridesmaid for hire and wanted to hear more wedding drama. Take a listen if you want a sweet romance to help you escape the real world.

Thank you to the publishers and NetGally for this Advanced Release copy. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was a cute and light and fun and full of what you might expect in a romcom. The main character being undercover allows for some funny shenanigans and doesn’t rely too much on lies like a fake dating premise sometimes does. There are plenty of lies that have to be told, but somehow the author handled it well where it didn’t feel gross.

Fantastic audiobook!
I truly enjoyed it and would recommend it!
Super cute romance, super fun and fresh!!

Always a Bridesmaid - Marina Adair
Jane is a bridesmaid for hire. She plays whatever role the bride deems for her. The bride has her take on the persona of a friend who isn’t attending the wedding, Elle Vaughn, a socialite, but she bumps into the bride's brother at the airport and is out of character, she finds herself scrambling to keep Jane and Elle separate and to stay away from dashing Henry…
Henry is a formula 1 driver so his fame outshines everything in his path but he doesn’t want his celebrity status to outshine his sister's big day. Jane has to keep everything simple and calm for the bride but it gets harder and harder the more time she spends around Henry, the sparks FLY and I am so here all day for that.
It’s really quite adorable and I love quirky books like this. Jane is awesome and being a bridesmaid for hire… SO COOL!! I am a bit of a fan of insta love too. I’m a serious romantic. If you like HEA with the rich hot guy… You will lurve this one.

This was a cute audiobook! We start out with a run-in at the airport, which causes some tension on one end and attraction on the other. When our main characters meet again at his sister’s wedding and she’s a bridesmaid, the attraction builds, despite it being forbidden.
Insta-love is hit or miss for me and this was a partial hit lol I enjoyed the build up but the fact that they were tossing out the L-word after a week is where it went astray for me. But that could totally be your thing! I also do wish there would have been more racing scenes. We get one at the end but it’s mainly just referencing him BEING an F1 racer.
I did love the characters; they were each lovable for their own reasons. And the spice wasn’t too shabby 😋 I also loved the premise of our FMC being a bridesmaid for hire; that’s like my dream job!! At the end we get a scene where the FMC’s bestie gets her own lead into what I’m assuming is the next book in the series and I think that one is gonna be GOOD.

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

Yeah it was okay. Honestly that's a compliment on my part when it comes to romance books because when I dislike one, I DISLIKE it. It was very sweet and fun, I liked the narrator and I just had an overall good time. 3.25 stars
