Thanks to Netgalley and dreamscape audio for this arc. The story is told in third person which I’m not a fan of but it’s fine. I wish it was in first person although it’s dual POV and it’s a formula 1 romance. My first one in the genre. The narrator was good for the words in this novel and just describing things about our FMC Jane. Some people might not like the narrator at all because of the way her voice is at times when she acts out the character, that kind of grated on my nerves but right from the beginning it was just a fun time. I feel like there’s nothing really to the characters, they just fall a little flat. It’s very tell and no show, that kinda irks me and the romance is not even there.. not much anyways. This book was okay but it overall just annoyed me.

This book was SO much fun! I’m new to sports romances, and not the biggest romance reader in general, but this was such a nice palate cleanser after some darker, heavier books. Henry was charming, Jane was a fantastic FMC who I rooted for. The narrator of this audiobook did a pretty good job with the different accents for both male and female characters. I really enjoyed this and hope there’ll be a sequel, in which case, I will be back!

The narrator was fantastic the story was just okay. It was a spicy wedding story with a F1 driver. Had high hopes for the story but it dragged and didn’t stick with me.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the advance listening copy. This is a strangers to lovers romance about Jane, a bridesmaid for hire, runs into the bride's hot brother, Henry, at the airport before the wedding. Can Jane juggle bridesmaid tasks while fighting them chemistry? Its a cute dual POV romance

Vrooommmmm... did you see that? I bet not because that was me absolutely flying through #alwaysabridesmaid by #marinaadair. Adorable plot line. A proper dabble in smutty behavior. Fame. Misleading identity. More books to follow. All of this adds up to a must read for my fellow Rom Com lovers!
Thank you #netgalley for the #arc.

This book was exactly what I wanted it to be. It wasn’t too deep, I didn’t have to think too hard, it was just a nice sweet little romance with a dash of smut. I struggled a bit with the fact that the coming conflict was so clear (you know exactly what the 3rd act breakup will be from page 1), but it was still a good time.

This was a fun short enemies to lovers spicy romance. It had humor and formula one racing drama, loved it all.

I’ve been on a romance binge and wow did this book knock me off my socks. I wouldn’t have guessed from the cover but this book is spicy!! 🌶🌶The characters were so relatable and I did enjoy the personalities and insecurities being very distinct and relatable. I hope I get the chance to listen to the other books in this series. What a great start to a series.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the arc of Always a Bridesmaid by Marina Adair.

Quick Summary: A vroom, vroom, start your engines romance
My Review: Always a Bridesmaid by Marina Adair is book #1 in A Revved-Up Romance series.
About the Book: A young woman with a highly creative occupation and a history of betrayal unexpectedly falls into a hot and heavy relationship with the brother of the bride she is working for on an undercover basis. Despite all her efforts to keep things cool and detached between her and the brother, the two enter into a racy, secret affair. Once their hearts are involved and the truth of the matter is revealed, will they be able to cross the finish line together or will they get knocked off track?
About the Narration: This book was narrated by Rachel L. Jacobs. She did a masterful job. In fact, the listening experience was so fantastic that I refused to stop listening until I was done. It was just that good. The tension was communicated expertly, as was the level of emotion linked to each character.
My Final Say: This little number came at just the right time. I absolutely loved it! The story was simple and sweet in one respect, yet the complexities of the relationships presented were a whole different thing.
Other: There were glimpses of other potential relationships that sparked my interest. There were also some individuals that I definitely wanted to know more about. I am all in on this series. Let's go!

Sincere appreciation is extended to the author, to the publisher (Dreamscape Media), and to NetGalley. Thank you for granting access to this title in exchange for an honest review. It was a pleasure to listen to this audiobook and to provide positive feedback. I very much look forward to becoming better acquainted with this author's work.

Jane is a bridesmaid for hire. People hire her for many different reasons, and her only goal is to help the bride have her big day be as stress-free and seamless as possible. She is hired to play the role of a socialite debutant, childhood friend to the bride, Elle, and her true identity must remain a secret. But she accidentally bumped into the bride's brother, Henry, a superstar in the Formula 1 world, at the airport. Of course, Henry was a jerk, and of course, she was not in disguise... When they meet again during the wedding festivities, he is very curious about "Elle", who is so different. And he is determined to discover the truth.
This enemies to lovers romance is book 1 in the A Revved-Up Romance series. It is marketed as a sports romance, because the MMC is a racecar driver, but honestly, there is very little sports in this. The third act break up was really stupid and unsupported. The premise was really interesting, but the entire plot was lacking real/believable challenges. The ending also felt really rushed, but sitting at just over 200 pages, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It's weird, because the pacing was right for the rest of the book. So maybe 10-15 more pages would've granted to necessary space to properly wrap up everything in a satisfying manner. It was a fun and super quick read, and the narrator did a good job, although I would've liked her MMC voice to be a bit deeper to better distinguish the POVs.
I received an advance copy of this book for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

LOVED this dual POV, new Formula 1 racing romance between a pro driver at his sister's wedding and the bridesmaid for hire, Elle (aka Jane) who reluctantly falls for him despite her best efforts not to!! Spicy, funny, and full of heart too. Great on audio narrated by Rachel L. Jacobs and absolutely perfect for fans of books like The secret bridesmaid by Katy Birchall, Bridesmaid for hire by Meghan Quinn or The paid bridesmaid by Sariah Wilson. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!!
