I enjoyed the voice narrators of this audio, Narrated by Shane East & Carly Robins. I really like the male MMC voice. The story was fast paced, cocky race car driver and the team owner's daughter, naturally they fall in love. If you like workplace, F1 romance, boss's daughter, enemies to lovers, slow burn, you will enjoy this. I wish they had a little more to their romance but this is a series and I look forward to reading the other stories in the Full Throttle Series.
3.5/4
I did like Off the Grid. The storyline was good but the writing style wasn’t for me. The audiobook narration by Carly Robins and Shane East was well done. I am not sure if I would have finished Off the Grid if I was reading an ebook or physical copy.
I plan to try book 2 before deciding if I want to continue further in the series. I do think there will be a lot of readers who absolutely love Off the Grid.
This spicy sports romance was fun and yet it dealt with some deep topics. I didn't know anything about Formula 1 racing and it was fun to read about. The male main character, Spencer was cocky and arrogant on the outside yet has a soft side when he let you see it. The female main character, Camilla, was uptight. As the story progressed we learned about her past trauma which has shaped many of her decisions.
Spencer was such a fun character. His arrogance was charming and funny. I enjoyed Camilla's character development.
I listened to the audiobook and it was absolutely fabulous, It was dual narration and the male and female narrators were excellent.
I highly recommend this to fans of spicy sports rom coms,
This is the second book I’ve read by K Bromberg. Both deal with car racing and with a trauma that she doesn’t quite deal with fully. (See trigger warnings below). It was… fine. The narrators were great, although I didn’t understand how everyone lived in Texas but most of their voices were read in an English accent. If you enjoy F1 racing then you’ll probably like this one since it is heavy on the ins and outs of the racing world. I ended up skimming some of the car details. I did like that we didn’t spend a lot of time in the miscommunication stage. It was a well-written but not really memorable romance.
TW: rape, sexual assault, violent death of a parent, Parkinson’s.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for an ARC of this audiobook.

K. Bromberg delivers another hit with this steamy, forbidden sports romance that will leave you breathless! Spencer Riggs is everything you'd expect from a bad boy in racing—intense, sexy, and undeniably confident. The chemistry between Riggs and the heroine is off the charts, filled with slow-burn tension that kept me glued to every page.
Beyond his cocky exterior, Riggs reveals a vulnerability that’s both unexpected and endearing, and watching him gradually break down her walls was truly heartwarming. Their journey is packed with emotions, high stakes, and electric passion that bring the story to life. The push and pull, the tension of resisting attraction, and the ultimate surrender make this a book you won’t want to put down.
If you're looking for a romance that’s fierce, sexy, and unforgettable, this is it! Highly recommended for romance lovers who crave a mix of heart, heat, and a thrilling sports backdrop.
𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁: I’ve been enjoying Formula 1 lately and this audiobook did not disappoint. This story has a lot of depth, the MCs have backstories that they have to learn to overcome. I really like this extra layer added into a romance but make sure to check TW. Formula 1 is not only a family but a business so you will find yourself feeling the highs and lows of this ride along with the characters.
Spencer is a cocky bad boy who just wants a chance to be a Formula 1 driver. He has had a hard life but dedicated it all and taken a lot of risks along the way to prove he belongs in this world. Due to a crash by another driver he just got the call to be the second driver for Team Moretti. He’s finally has gotten his chance, now he has to keep it.
Camilla is the daughter of the Moretti empire but she vanished from the racing world after a life changing night. Now she’s back to help as her dad goes through health issues, they can’t let the race world know. She is working as the Marketing Manager and working with Spencer will test everything she has. Her dad will also teach her a few hard lessons along the way.
What started as a dare at a bar lit a spark 🧨 that would change it all or make it all come crashing down. Take a chance on Formula 1 and go for a ride with this book!

Such a great performance 👏 Carly Robins and Shane West, wow I'm so blown away by their performance. They were both perfect for Camilla and Riggs. I really loved how Carly juggled between all the accents, it was brilliant. Shane was great as well and I really appreciated this audiobook. It was steamy, funny, and emotional. It's well written and everything happened at the right pace, at the right moment. I loved every second of it.
It was my first book by this author and it definitely won't be the last, I can't wait to read more of her books.
The tension between Camilla and Riggs was beautiful and perfect. Their chemistry was unbelievable.

A few mins in, I just couldn’t stop. This book kinda got me out of the reading slump.
This is hot 🥵
It’s story was ok and it was full of banter. It’s sexy, steamy, intense, but with real-life issues.
I liked the narration, especially the Fmcs. But the very deep voice and accent of the mmc / male narrator didn't do it for me.

The audio of this was superb. Usually I struggle with audiobooks due to a difficulty in connecting with the voices, however, Shane and Carly had me absolutely hooked. I honestly never wanted to stop listening.
Quite similar to Laurens novels, it was a bit difficult initially to be immersed in the text. I DNFs this audio book. it did have good substance, just not up my alley
Good book, the story was great and I wanted to keep reading! The audio book is narrated in a British accent which took me a minute to get use to but it was good!

The one benefit of this book was that I was able to have a conversation with an F1 fanatic and appeared like I knew what I was talking about...

Camilla Morettiis the heir to Moretti Motors as the only daughter of the Moretti family. She wants nothing to do with motorsports, especially Formula One. However, her father is ill and wants to groom her to take over the racing side of the business. Now, Camilla finds herself in the racing world, trying to rebrand and revitalise Moretti Motors. Spencer Riggs is a racer whose dream is to succeed in Formula One. His father was also a racer who tragically died, so Spencer is fighting to uphold his father’s legacy and prove that he can be just as good as his dad. However, there is one small obstacle—Camilla Moretti.

How can you love and dislike something at the same time? That’s exactly how I feel about this book. It had so much potential and a solid foundation to be epic, but it was missing something, which made it fall a little flat.
Camilla is very self-conscious and demeaning of her own skills. She’s almost afraid to embrace who she is, but this isn’t her fault. She’s haunted by a past instance of sexual assault that has left her feeling broken. As a result, she has closed herself off to men and romance to ensure she is never taken advantage of again.
Spencer Riggs is a cocky arsehole, but also charming. He knows he’s attractive, knows how to play the “game,” and oozes sex appeal. He’s the type of person who could sell ice to an Eskimo. However, that’s the reason I disliked him—he felt incredibly fake, overly arrogant, and sometimes his forwardness just came across as abrasive.
A BIG ISSUE I had with this book is that much of the relationship development happens off-page and is simply referenced through "time passing." We don’t get to see the actual progression of them spending time together.
The redeeming qualities are the banter and the attraction between the two. They are instantly drawn to each other, and the spark between them is sweet. The dirty talk, though, did feel a little cringe. what really stood out and redeemed Spencer’s character from being a cocky arsehole was how much he was willing to sacrifice and stand up for what had happened to Camilla. His protectiveness was the THE BEST MOMENTin the book, showcasing his love and his need to care for her no matter the implications.
The audio was spectacular—and not just because I got to listen to Shane East and his British accent. It was actually Carly Robbins. Carly Robbins (CJ Bloom) is my favourite female narrator. She has such a skill in transporting you into the story with her tones, dialects, and ability to convey emotion and character. She makes me fall in love with every book she narrates, and a large part of my enjoyment of this book was due to her.
This was also the first Formula 1 romance I’ve ever read, and I liked that aspect. You can tell a lot of research went into the F1 scenes, from the cars to the drivers to the overall vibe. It gave me enough ammo to chat with a friend who loves racing, soooooo BIG KUDOS!

Overall, this was okay. I had fun. I enjoyed the racing elements, I enjoyed the fact that Camilla came into herself and found a passion in the racing community and that she found it with Spencer Riggs.

All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Absolutely loved this story. The narrators were great at portraying the characters. They had me caring for them both from the beginning. The story had me rooting for them and hoping for the best for them. I absolutely loved it.
This was a highly anticipated read for me and maybe I got my hopes up too high. While I liked the overall story it felt like something was missing. I wasn’t addicted to it and found myself getting distracted multiple times. The audio was done quite well. This is the first in the series but I have no inclination of who will be in the next one. If there were crumbs left, I walked right over them.
Thank you NetGalley and dreamscape for the audio
this one wasn’t my fave, i honestly have nothing to really say other than i was bored?? i kiss tend to the audio and didn’t love the narrator for the mmc so that might be why. the f1 and plot line were fun but just found my self not being able to pay attention while i was listening
I am fully in my F1 romance era and I am so glad I was able to listen to this one!
I really liked the set-up for this one, how the two MCs had a bad first meeting and then she's suddenly basically his boss when he finally gets his dream of being on an F1 team. Riggs is kind of an a**-hole but I do think he changed as the story progressed. Camilla is a bad-a** in her own right and I loved seeing how Riggs helped her feel more comfortable with herself and her body. Camilla's story was heartbreaking and honestly the biggest reason this book isn't a 5 star for me is that I wanted at least 3 more chapters - like what do you mean the villian gets punched in the face and the very next chapter is the epilogue. I wanted a little more of them out in the open as a couple and how some of the problems from the last chapter actually got resolved. Overall though I loved the writing and the characters and am planning to read the rest of the series.
Off The Grid by K Bromberg
Off The Grid is a fun racing contemporary romance and the first book in the Full Throttle Series. The story begins with Spencer Riggs watching his dad’s race, eating his candy, when his dad loses control of his race care and dies. This book grabs your attention from the very beginning. Camila Moretti has been running the oil part of the company, but when her father asks her to start working on the race side, she can’t refuse him when his illness has become worse. When a racer is injured in an accident, Riggs is hired as a fill in. When their first meeting doesn’t go exactly great, they develop a dislike of each other, that quickly turns heated and spicy. Camilla has her own personal issues, after suffering from an assault, leaving her with problems letting anyone in, let alone having a deep relationship. The story has some sweet moments but spicy. Some tropes include boss / worker, hate to love, and secret romance.
Overall this was a fast fun read. I enjoyed the characters and their development. I enjoyed the AITA portion. The story was fast and it was easy to listen to. I liked how the author mixed sweet and spicy. And the spice was very hot. I haven’t read many, if any, racing romance books but I liked the reality the author put into the book. I will definitely check out more racing romance in the future. This book was a fast easy read.
I definitely enjoyed the narrators and was quickly drawn in with Carly Robins and Shane East. They did a phenomenal job.
Audiobook review
We meet both characters as they reminisce about important male figures in their life who are tied to F1 Racing.
Camilla has a family legacy of Moretti olive oil and Moretti F1 racing. After stepping away from the racing scene following a (TW) grape at the hands of another employee (the scene is recounted on page), her dad pulls her back in as he navigates Parkinson’s priming her to take over the family business.
Riggs lost his father during a racing accident, and following in his footsteps, finds himself pulled up to F1 overnight after a Moretti driver is injured.
These two have a bit of what appears to be a meet cute (…but was it?!). And soooooo much chemistry. The narrators Carly Robins and Shane East did a phenomenal job. Their ability to tell the story was executed so well. Including ALL the 🌶️🔥🥵.
Carly’s attempt at an Italian accent was attempted well, but also eastern European sounding at times? Idk, it grows on you and I was less distracted by it overtime.

My thoughts 💌
Off the Grid by K. Bromberg is a captivating start to the Full Throttle series. This contemporary fiction novel seamlessly blends serious subject matters with a thrilling sports romance storyline. The book follows the story of a professional F2/F1 racer and an heiress as they collide during a dare and later find themselves working together. The narrative explores their evolving relationship, addressing their specific needs and the challenges they face when their feelings for each other are revealed. The narration by @carlyrobinsnarrator and @shaneeastreads is exceptional and effectively conveys the emotions of the story.
The book’s ability to balance lighthearted moments with intense and sensual scenes is commendable. It delves into heavy issues, adding depth to the overall plot. K. Bromberg's unflinching approach to these sensitive topics contributes to the story's realism and complexity. It's important to note that the book contains triggers, and the author's notes should be read to fully understand and prepare for the content.
Overall, Off the Grid is a compelling read that skillfully navigates complex themes while delivering a captivating romance. K. Bromberg's bold storytelling, combined with the seamless narration, makes for a truly engaging experience. I highly recommend this book to readers who appreciate multifaceted characters and a well-crafted narrative.
This was a fun listen! My introduction to the F1 world was through Lauren Asher’s Dirty Air series, but I can understand why so many people are obsessed with the sport! So if you loved that series, then this one is definitely for you!
This book was a great mix of sweet, spicy, so much tension, and also very emotional. There were some heavier topics dealt with (check trigger warnings before reading), but overall it was a good start to a new series!
I did struggle with the characters a little bit. Cami was okay, but Riggs was quite the a$$. It made it very difficult to root for him as I didn’t really like him as a person…
Thank you NetGalley and K. Bromberg for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.
