Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this book. This was a fun book, cute for fans of the show. It was as expected but didn't offer much more than that. My teen son enjoyed it a lot.
These comic collections are going to find so many fans who love the shows they are based on. I was excited to see new stories in both that kept true to the characters of both.
I think this will be really popular with my students. It is bright and silly and feels exactly like the cartoon.

Very much in the spirit of the television show, these Phineas and Ferb stories are quite enjoyable. The rhythm of the story even matches that of the cartoon. I'm not sure how non-watchers will enjoy it but people who know Phineas and Ferb should love it quite a lot.
Stories are just as fantastical as you might expect/want them to be. There are dinosaurs, words of wisdom from Ferb, a giant snowman, and even more adventures.
Of course, Doofenshmirtz and Perry are included as well. Doof goes to jail and recruits men to his team, there's a car chase to get back in time for dinner, and an attempt to make himself adorably cute.
What is there not like about Phineas and Ferb? My kids watched this show as kids and enjoyed reading it as an adult as well. My preschoolers through 2nd graders loved reading this comic book and then watching the cartoon afterwards. Scott Peterson and everyone involved made It easy to follow and understand the storyline.
Thank you NetGalley, Papercutz Publishing, and Scott Peterson for an eARC copy of Phineas and Ferb Classic Comic Collection Vol. 1.
This collection of stories was super cute, held close to the writing style of the show, and had some clever tie ins to adventures mentioned in episodes but never shown. Any fan of Phineas and Ferb will enjoy reading this. I am a grown adult who watched Phineas and Ferb for years growing up and I still have my Perry the Platypus pillow pet after all this time, so I was excited to see this book listed on NetGalley.
Some scenes and jokes had me snorting, so I'll take that as a win. The illustrations were also solid. I think the scene that had me chuckling the most was Phineas' face when his "mom" (Candace in disguise) was zoomed away on the rocket, leaving her hair and assorted accessories behind. Phineas looked so distraught for a moment before just moving on, it was genuinely funny.
Thank you to NetGalley, Papercutz, and Scott Peterson for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
love Phineas and Ferb so much so I knew I had to request this comic collection on Netgalley! I loved this collection as well. I read it in all the characters voices. Such a fun read and glad I got to experience more Phineas and Ferb as well. Didn’t know there was a comic series. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the arc in return for an honest review!
This summer my kids binged Phineas & Ferb! We were so happy to see a new book is coming out- as we’ve taken out every one from all surrounding libraries. The graphic novel format is a crowd favorite. Both my 6yo and almost 9yo devoured this book! It was not a previously done episode in book format- but a new story. We hope this is possibly the first of many!
Review: Phineas and Ferb – A Childhood Classic
Phineas and Ferb is a beloved series that holds a special place in many people's childhood memories. Phineas Flynn and his stepbrother, Ferb Fletcher, turn every day of their summer vacation into an extraordinary adventure, whether they’re inventing incredible contraptions or helping those in need. Their boundless creativity and enthusiasm make each episode a joy to watch.
Meanwhile, the ever-ambitious but hilariously ineffective Dr. Doofenshmirtz is constantly plotting to take over the Tri-State Area with his wild "inator" devices. His schemes are always thwarted by Perry the Platypus, the boys' pet who doubles as a secret agent for the O.W.C.A, under the guidance of Major Monogram.
This show is more than just entertainment; it’s a nostalgic trip back to carefree summer days, full of laughter and imagination. I absolutely loved revisiting this work and am happy to give it a full 5 stars. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to relive those cherished memories.
2/5 stars.
I grew up watching Phineas and Ferb, it was my favorite TV show when I was younger. I saw this and requested it right away. I thought the show ended ages ago so this felt way out of left field. Started reading this and it reads like it's meant for kindergarteners, not kids who would actually be interested in watching the show.
Phineas and Ferb is a super fun cartoon series. The Phineas and Ferb comics are almost equally as fun. The animation really adds to the cartoon and, while these comic stories lack that hyperkinetic zoom of the cartoon series, these comics are still a fun read.
It's not going to change your life, but it's a good way to pass some time and have some fun.
