This book leaves no stone unturned! No fads here, just good, sensible advice.

It covers emotional eating, touches on eating disorders as well as diving deep into nutrition and fitness, giving strategies that are practical and backed by evidence. The unique selling point of this book is how it uses psychology to enable us to succeed.

Some recipes are included, as are eating plans. So often neglected, the areas of maintenance and long term success are also considered.

All in all, this is essential reading for anyone looking to lose weight in a sensible, considered way.

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Conquer Your Mind, Conquer Your Weight offers a refreshing take on weight management by focusing on the psychological aspects that often drive unhealthy eating habits. The book explores how our thoughts and emotions can influence our weight, providing practical mental strategies to overcome emotional eating and stress-related snacking. I appreciated how it shifted the focus from just diet and exercise to the deeper psychological factors at play. Reading this was an eye opener for me; it not only provided useful tools but also helped me rethink my approach to wellness.

I found this book quite informative, a lot of the subject in the book is common sense but it’s written in a way that is very easy to understand and therefore a bit easier to navigate a path that the reader can put in place in order to start to make the changes necessary to live a healthier life. I feel it will be a handy resource to go back to from time to time just to reinforce the knowledge that I already have and the new stuff learnt.

This is an overly simple and largely obvious approach to weight and diet. The book reads like an essay submitted for a class assignment. Alas, had higher hopes for what this work could provide as new inspiration. Not so new. Not so inspiring
