God Brandon has exceeded all of my expectations for this book in these first 300 pages. I love the focus just on Kal and Shallan for the first day and all of the lore and information that’s dropped. This feels like an Avengers level book for the cosmere.

I’ve been waiting forever for the final book in this era, and it’s finally here! Even though I’ve only read the first 300 pages, I’m completely hooked! Brandon Sanderson never disappoints, and this book is already packed with twists and surprises that have me dying to know what happens next.

The characters feel like old friends at this point, and it’s so exciting to see where their journeys are heading. Sanderson’s world-building is, as always, phenomenal, and every page pulls me further into the story. It’s everything I hoped for so far, and I have no doubt it’ll stick the landing.

I can’t recommend this series enough to anyone who loves epic fantasy. If you haven’t started it yet, do yourself a favor and dive in—you won’t regret it! As for me, I’ll be waiting (not so patiently) for the rest of the book to release so I can devour every last word. It’s going to be amazing, and I can’t wait!

Oops, All Sanderlanche! The fifth full installment in The Stormlight Archive starts with the same propulsion that Sanderson is known for bringing to the end of his books. From the very first chapter, readers are treated to new revelations and an urgent reframing of the central conflict that makes this the biggest page-turner in the series since The Way of Kings. Thanks to Tor and Macmillan, I was able to read and listen to the first two parts of Wind and Truth, and I'm eagerly awaiting the rest.

Without going into spoilers, I'll say this entry has everything I have been hoping for as a longtime fan of the series. The world continues to expand in scope as our heroes grow in depth. There are references to other series, but they're organic teases that only heighten the realism of the world. Roshar feels like a lived-in place with a rich history. I'm thankful to spend a few more days in this world of Radiants before the long break leading up to book six. But don't fret the gap--I'm sure there will be years worth of discussion to keep us company!

As expected, the first 2 parts of Wind and Truth were absolutely jam packed with emotion, lore drops, and good old fashioned epic fantasy fun!

I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of this book so I can see what happens next with our heroes. There are so many things up in the air, and knowing Sanderson, nothing is likely to go the way we think it will.

So far Sanderson's writing has been wonderfully consistent, and I have absolute faith that this book is going to be the best book I have read in a very long time.

It's difficult to review and share feedback on an excerpt but I think Sanderson has created such a rich and vibrant world that even readinging only a few hundred pages is enough to get a sense of what's yet to come.

The characters are multifaceted and fleshed out in such a way to even if the intricacies of the previous books plotpoints are forgotten, we have a strong impression of how they would/should react and what they stand for.

I love what these few hundred pages are setting up and can't wait for the full release.

Thank you to Tor books and Netgalley for the sneak peak!

“We are broken, Shallan,” Kelek finally said. “We are not the heroes you wish us to be. Not anymore.”
Boy, are we in for a ride with this one! Branderson is back with yet another epic that’s the longest in the series yet! And I don’t know if I’m ready for the emotional damage that’s sure to come. I swear, if Kaladin doesn’t get a happy ending I will riot.
As with the previous books in the series, we start with a Gavilar prologue that I honestly struggled through. Not because of bad writing or boring plot but simply because I just hate Gavilar that much. But then we jump into Kaladin’s POV so everything was good from there. The story starts with Kaladin on a…I won’t say high note, but definitely not a low note. Kaladin is forced to sit out of the coming war, instead being sent on a road trip with the last person you’d expect—Szeth son-son-Vallano, Truthless of Shinovar. Expect some weird, hilarious, and awkward interactions as the two get to know each other! I’m kind of hoping for them to become besties because that would be funny and make Adolin jealous. Also, Syl. Syl is still best girl and I love her.
Meanwhile, Shallan is in a better place mentally, and Adolin is, well, Adolin. The two start out in Shadesmar, doing their best to recruit honorspren for the cause and build their Radiant army in case of disaster. (Which, knowing Branderson, is more than likely to happen.) To be honest, their part of the story kind of went over my head since it’s been so long since I’ve read the previous books, so I don’t really remember a lot of the characters, but I’m just going to Wiki Fandom it and call it a day.
I don’t want to say too much to keep the spoilers at bay, but Branderson has not disappointed so far, so I’m sure that when we finally get our hands on a copy of Wind and Truth, we’re going to have to buckle up and grab the tissues, because who knows who might die this time around.
NOTE: I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley for review purposes only. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Brandon Sanderson is truly a Wordsmith. He creates such beautiful, human characters with so much depth and complexity. I have never really been one to annotate my books, but his words make me want to highlight and comment and doodle all over the place. I love the growth that the characters are showing in this book, and cannot wait to get my hands on the whole book in December.

Truly wonderful! I am a huge fan of the series and this excerpt has really excited me for what is to come in the finale. It was really interesting to see more and more aspects of the Cosmere seeming to become important for the conclusion as well! I can't give a too detailed review as this is not the entirety of the book. But I certainly excited and can say that this stands up to the standard I expect from this author at this point.

Mild Spoilers, Based on an advanced excerpt of the first 324 pages.

In 10 days, the contest of champions begins. A new Shard has risen. The Assassin in White and Stormblessed seek one of the most dangerous of the lost heralds. The Ghostbloods make their move. The armies of Roshar clash. The fate of the Cosmere hangs in the balance. It's the beginning of the end for The Stormlight Archive era 1 and the tension can be felt in every page. Brandon Sanderson is known for his ability to draw all of his plots together for bombastic finales and Wind and Truth is shaping up to be a bombastic climax from beginning to end.

How to write a review for an excerpt of the final book of one of my favorite fantasy series of all time (The Stormlight Archives), by one of my favorite fantasy authors of all time?? All I can say is that Brandon Sanderson has f***ing done it again and given us a masterpiece. I cannot WAIT to eat up the rest of this book and witness the most epic Sanderlanche of all time that blows all my theories out of the water (AKA a mind-blowing to an amazing series of incredible scope). Release day cannot come soon enough!

Thank you to NetGalley, Brandon Sanderson, and Tor for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own!

How do you start a review for this amazing excerpt, except for with a squeal of excitement for the rest to come.

Wind and Truth continues the journeys and growth of some of my most favorite literary characters. This is book 5 in a very substantial series, so please do not try to read these out of order. You really do need to understand where we have come from in the other books to know what is fully going on in this one.

Dalinar is preparing for a battle against Odium but quickly learns things may be stacked against him as the contract seems to have loopholes in favor of Odium.

Kaladin finds a new purpose in the empire after Dalinar relieves him of duty as the head of the Windrunners and asks him to help others who are finding it difficult to work through their own emotions and minds. Instead of being a doctor of surgery, his role as a therapist grows as he starts to work with Szeth on facing his internal demons and possibly an insane Herald along the way.

Shallan, Jasnah, Adolin, and so many others are also working on their own objectives and they are all incredibly important in their own ways. I don't want to reveal too much about what happens in the first 400 pages, but I will say the action seems to be rolling along at a great pace and I cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of the book to finish what I expect will be another magnificent installment.

Finally seeing the prologue from Gavilar's POV, everything makes sense. It actually made me grab the first one and reread the scene. 10/10 there. After that, it was a pretty slow start. There are a lot of strings and plots that need to come together so it's understandable that we have to take our time with them. I'm still counting down the days until the book is fully out!

Sanderson has done it again! I can't wait for the rest of the book; this short excerpt was terrific, and now I'm hooked. December can't come fast enough, and I'm beyond excited to see what else happens in his fifth installment.

Brandon Sanderson.. what a guy, and what a phenomenal book so far.

I am so excited to see where these characters go as we get to the contest of champions. As always, it's wonderfully well written, the characters are phenomenal, and the plot is plotting. I love it, and I can't wait to read the full book in the next month!
