The way this book is formatted takes a bit of getting used to, but if you go into it as a fan of the show, have some general knowledge of Jewish dating customs, or just want to learn/experience more, you’ll enjoy it. If you want to read a traditional dating/relationship advice book, this may not be the one for you.

Each chapter is set up with a cute title and as a sort of “Monday Morning Quarterback” recap of different clients of Aleeza’s, their dates, and how she advises them to do things differently. Each chapter also ends with a takeaway tip for readers. I enjoyed the takeaway tips the most. If Aleeza were to write another book, I would love it if each chapter expanded on the tips and gave more information vs. story times of past clients. Matchmaker Matchmaker would make a great gift for a fan of the Netflix show though!

Thank you to #NetGalley for a review copy of #MatchmakerMatchmaker. All feedback is my unbiased opinion, not paid, and simply for the love of books.

While I appreciate the author’s desire to help others connect, this book didn’t work. I didn’t the like the format of reading about her clients’ dates and then dissecting them. I didn’t find it interesting. And I honestly believe the no-touching for 5 dates rule is unrealistic. This was a DNF for me.
