A beautiful collection of the most adorably illustrated cats on a travelling adventure! JUNO's art is so enchanting and it's so relatable and relaxing to see what all the cute cats get on to do during their travels! I really enjoyed it! It would be a wonderful gift for people who love cats and/or travelling!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is so stinking cute! We get cats in roller skates, on bikes, in swimsuits...what more could you ask for. Reading this was a joy and I wanted print outs of almost every scene. I wasn't too familiar with Mofusand until I started seeing blind boxes pop up but now I'm sold on the cuteness and willing to invest in all the figurines and merch.

A super cute comic about cats on tour.
Overflowing with cuteness this book is a great choice to get for everyone who wants a happy little time-out from the world :)
I personally love it!

Falling in Love with a Traveling Cat: Mofusand's 1st Illustration Book! by Juno has got to be the cutest little book ever! I've seen pictures of these cats before and fell in love with them. I have stickers featuring these kitties, and they are particular favorites. I was so excited to see a book with these illustrations. I'm a cat mama, and who can resist such adorable little felines as they go on vacation?! This may be directed at kids, but I'm sure other adults love these cats as much as I do. It's just a cute little story about traveling cats, and they are all adorable. They often appear wearing food costumes, or they are playing with other animals. Total cuteness overload!

I received an ARC of this book courtesy of the publisher and NetGalley. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I very sweet and fun read.

As a big fan of mofusand, I was so excited to see that there was a manga full of these cute cats! This is an illustration book featuring the wonderful mofusand kitties and I enjoyed every minute of my time reading it! The illustrations are lovely, with full color pages of the kitties enjoying different aspects of travel. I enjoyed each section’s theme. The travel theme was a cute way to highlight different parts of Japan. I look forward to more mofusand book releases in the future!

3/5 ⭐️ I feel like this is being mismarketed. This is less of a connected story and more of a collection of really REALLY cute cat art. The artist is very talented and I loved how detailed the food items and costumes were, but this should be marketed to children as a picture book or purely an art book. Again the art is great; I loved the use of color and the amount of personality the artist was able to give the cats, but there was no story to follow through. Knowing what I do about Cat Manga (more than I’d like to admit, I read a lot for comfort), I was expecting something very different. If the marketing had explained what I would be picking up, I wouldn’t have been disappointed

This was so well illustrated, and the cuteness was out of this world! I would love the author/artist to do another book with more of a plot to it. thank you for the early copy!

Lovers of cats and travel will need to check out “Falling in Love with a Traveling Cat.” The book is a compilation of “stories” of a clowder of cats who decide to take a trip, and everything leading up to and during their memorable time. Much of the book is pictures with minimal text, making it an ideal reading choice for readers of all ages. My 11-year-old cat-loving daughter found much enjoyment! The storyline is minimal, but the illustrations include the cats engaging in regional activities and enjoying regional delicacies.

Thanks to NetGalley, Udon Entertainment, and Juno for an eArc in exchange for an honest review.

An absurdly cute book with adorable illustrations. This book was very calming and chill to read and enjoy. I especially liked the the yummy foods section featuring local delicacies from prefectures across Japan, as well as the regional costume portion featuring the cutest costumed cats ever, which elevated this enjoyable book to informative. Definitely a well-deserved rest for my ever stressed brain.

Cute, but I occasionally found the illustrations too repetitive

I loved this book! It just made me so happy. For being not really a cat person, OMG these cats are just everything! I read this book so fast and had to go back and read it again. This is the kind of book you just can't help but smile while reading it.

🐾 As a long-time follower of Juno’s Mofusand,
I was so happy to see an illustration book being released. These cute, round cats are everywhere in Japan. If you name a household item, these cats are probably on it—toys, bags, plates, clocks, handkerchiefs; they even had an entire themed cafe.

Mofusand has showcased many themes with their cat characters in the past, so I was curious to see what they would choose for their first illustration book. Most books I’ve read showcasing an artist’s work are simply a collection of their pieces, but Mofusand chose to create a linear story about the cats going on vacation which was so cute and really added to the book. Honestly, it might even give you some ideas for your next trip to Japan.

This art book will really melt your heart and make you smile. It would make a nice coffee table book because flipping through it will brighten your day. I think it would be really cute to display this book with a matching Mofusand blind box figurine. Maybe that’s just my blind box obsession talking. 😂

As for the art, the pieces in the book sometimes have a more sketched lineart or airbrushed quality than the polished drawings you might find on their Instagram or commercial products. I didn’t mind it—the variation was fun to see and seemed like a stylistic choice rather than a result of time constraints.

Overall, this was a charming and simple read that I would rate five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I saw this cover on NetGalley and was immediately intrigued. As a cat lover and travel dreamer (I’d love to travel more but it’s just not in the cards) this book was exactly what I needed! Not only are the illustrations adorable, but there is a good amount of educational information about Japan. It was a pleasant surprise to see as much content in the book as there was. To be honest I thought it was going to be mostly illustrations of cats traveling, but that wasn’t the case. I think this is a read for all ages.

Thank you NetGalley and Udon Entertainment for an advanced copy of this book!

Cats on ROLLER SKATES? In their little seats at the movies? Taking a bath with rubber duckies? I died. This is the sweetest, most adorable book in the world.

Have you ever wondered what it would look like if the world was run by adorable little cats instead of hoomans? In this cute, short story we get to see just that through illustrations of Mofusand's well-known and well-loved cats as they take a trip across Japan. This is mostly illustrations with some elementary text to guide the story along on pages here and there. The cats were pudgy and kitten-like in appearance, with varying expressions that made me laugh a few times. I'd rate their squishability as 10/10. Would definitely love to cup their cute, pudgy faces in my hands.

Aside from just traveling along with the cats, we also get a peek inside of Japanese culture, mostly through food, but through other elements as well such as places, history, culture, and animals. This is done by dressing up the cats to represent each specific subject. It's not a deep dive, just the Japanese words and what they mean in English. Any cat lover would appreciate this as well as anyone who is interested in Japan or is trying to teach their little one about Japan.
