I have never read anything by this author, but I will definitely be looking out for this author! The pace was great and I was hooked from just a few pages in!

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the grumpy/sunshine of Benjamin and Frankie though it seems a little odd that he was best friends with her older brother for years and they never met previously.

Benjamin is damaged from the divorce his parents went through and the subsequent effect it had on his mother before she passed away so he never lets anyone get close to him. He likes routine, but really he needs to keep control over everything in his life in order to keep a tight rein on his emotions. But then he meets Frankie and despite everything she's been through, she's happy, bubbly and wants to help people. She might find it difficult to trust people but she's at least open to the possibility of it.

The two first met when Benjamin was her professor for a family law class Frankie was taking as part of her social worker degree. He doesn't like having her in his class and tries to make it so difficult for her that she drops it, but she's determined to make it through the class and when the semester is over, she'll never have to see him again. Except, he's her brother's best man and they end up being paired together during a pre-wedding activity of snowshoeing where of course, they get lost and then a storm rolls in and they have to take refuge in a cabin in the woods.

While they're holed up together, they get to know each other a bit more but Benjamin still holds back from her, convinced he will somehow destroy her if he lets himself be with Frankie.

The spice was good! Benjamin is pretty laced up most of the time, but when he lets himself go he's dominant and has a very filthy mouth! Love it! Frankie is not shy about what she wants when it comes to sex and is more than happy to tell him exactly what she wants from him.

While it may not delve deeply into its heavier themes, this romcom will satisfy fans looking for a quick, entertaining escape in a snowy setting, where love has a chance to warm even the iciest of hearts.

I'll be honest - I enjoyed the first book in the series more. It took a while for our couple to actually be stranded, and while the chemistry was there, their relationship was still a bit off. The way Benji was treating Frankie for some parts of the book was definitely a red flag, it's almost like he had two personalities that didn't really mash, no matter how the author tried to explain it away by his past experiences and trauma. There's still some fun to be had with this story though, and I truly hope the next installment will be stronger, as there's definitely potential here.

Love Under Snowfall by K.L. Parsons is the second book in the series Stranded in Leavenworth. I will start off by saying I did not read the first book in the series and while this book read well as a standalone, I would have understood the relationships of some characters to each other sooner had I started with book 1. I will definitely be reading it soon!

This is the story of two people with rather troublesome childhoods. The main characters, Frankie and Benjamin, were influenced by their challenging pasts in very different ways. Frankie chose to use her experiences as fuel to make a positive impact on the world while Benjamin remained jaded and chose a more ruthless route. While he made some positive changes before the characters met, he still had an opportunity for growth and redemption.

The character development seemed realistic for both of the main characters and while our grumpy MMC was gruff, his past life experiences made his personality and behavior understandable. Professor Benjamin Clark is a classic sexy grump. I loved when his vulnerable side was revealed. He is humbled and redeems himself over time thanks to Frankie’s influence so he becomes a more lovable character as the story unfolds.

Frankie is the kind of friend everyone wants. She loves with her whole heart and works hard to make the world a better place. She has grit and determination and doesn’t let our grumpy MMC get the best of her.

This particular book was an enemies to lovers romance, one of my favorite tropes! I never tire of them. Parson’s adds another trope I love, brother’s best friend!

The two main characters are working at being civil with one another during the wedding week festivities of Frankie’s brother who also happens to be Benjamin’s best friend. They are getting along and their banter is enjoyable. Frankie and Benjamin are paired up for an outdoor adventure a few days before the wedding. They experience some misfortune and the anxiety provoking incident leads to a forced proximity scenario (yet another favorite trope of mine). The two have a chance to get to know one another on a deeper level and we finally get a long awaited romantic encounter! I honestly don’t know how the characters held out for so long!!

I enjoyed so much about this book - the characters and their development, the fun story line, and the seasonal element. I looked up Leavenworth, WA and would love to go there for a winter vacation!!

This book had high angst that didn’t resolve as quickly as some other romances which caused me some discomfort! I would have loved to learn a little more about the MCs long term outcome together. It felt like an abrupt ending and I just wanted more of this couple. Maybe we will hear more about Frankie and Benjamin in book #3!

I was confused about a random chapter from another character’s POV about 75% of the way through the book. It threw me off and that chapter didn’t flow as well as the rest of the book, however, I assume it was intentional based on an announcement about book #3. This may be a common occurrence for this author.

I enjoyed the beginning but by the end, I was ready for it to be over. While the characters had good chemistry, the writing was so overdone. I found myself skimming a lot because of the overdone writing. This is a case of “less is more” and would have made the book more enjoyable.

Hot professor alert and there’s only one bed… in an isolated cabin… in the middle of a blizzard! Personally I find the, “you deserve better so I’m gonna break your heart so you’ll move on” trope to be so annoying, but alas, we won’t be escaping that trope anytime soon. But at least it’s always a temporary thing - despite that, I still enjoyed the book and am looking forward to more in the series. It sounds like disaster Zac’s story is next, which should be interesting!

Fast forward to the end of the semester and Frankie is home for her brother’s wedding and guess who is the best man?
This was a fun read! One of my favorite tropes is enemies to lovers and this one was really well done. Add a dash of forced proximity and best friend’s little sister and you’ve got yourself a delightful rom com. My one disappointment is that the end was left a little open ended and I needed an epilogue to know where they were in a few months! I definitely will be checking out the rest of this series. I do love a series where each book focuses on a different person in a friend group.

"Love Under Snowfall" is the second book in K.L. Parson's "Stranded in Leavenworth" series. This book has the very popular "enemies to lovers" trope which Parsons uses to maximum success. In this book, Francesca "Frankie" is going back to graduate school after a long academic hiatus, and is determined to become a social worker to help kids in the foster care system just like she was. Her college requirements force her to take family law, a topic with which she is entirely unsure of. It doesn't help that her law professor is a stickler and insists on perfection. It doesn't hurt, however, that he's her age and very hot. Sparks fly between them, and the two battle in a clash of wills all semester long. When the semester is over, they meet up again hours away from school at her brother's wedding. This time, there's nothing keeping them from discovering exactly what the two have developing between them.

This book was fun, steamy, and exhilarating! I enjoy the "enemies to lovers" trope, along with the two being snowed in the cabin together. As a foster parent myself, I appreciated Frankie's desire to help kids in the foster care system and really resonated with that side storyline. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in this series. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

I love when two broken people find each other. Frankie had spent he adult life doing good to compensate for the crap she was dealt as a kid, while Benji is still figuring his baggage out.

I Loved the first book in this series and this book totally held up. Loads of cameos by previous characters as Frankie's family and friends are a lead character all on their own.

The 3rd book is sure to be fun with it's himbo MMC.

The story follows Frankie and Benjamin, each carrying their emotional baggage, who find solace in each other.
I was so excited to finally read Frankie her story and I was happy to return to Leavenworth! I liked the whole school setting and the law lessons with the professor. It was such a heartwarming, comforting and cozy romance! The way the author writes about Leavenworth makes you want to go there. I liked the chemistry between Frankie and Benjamin. I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read Zac's story next!

Love Under Snowfall by K L Parsons is a wholesome romance with a bit of all the right romance tropes mixed together.

So the good parts... All the tropes are my favourite... Be it enemies to lovers, professor × student, forced proximity or brother's best friend... So definitely, the author had me there. The spice scenes were perfect! And a surprising twist for me was that one chapter from Zac's POV. His character deserved it after all he got throughout the story. It was much needed!

Now for the not so good parts... I felt the main characters were missing something, but I quite couldn't put a finger on it... It just didn't feel wholesome the way it should have! That's it! Nothing else except maybe the fact that the author wrote it from a third person POV, because I always prefer first or second person POV. But considering how wonderful the whole book has been, this isn't much of an issue at all.

4/5 stars for me. One star less only because that lack of wholesomeness!

Another adorable forced proximity, light enemies to lovers we had the privilege to read before release. I love how the actor blends heartwarming back stories into a romance that makes sense with strong character development. This story followed the same context of book one, and I would have loved for this one to go off the set path a little bit so it wasn't as repetitive as book one. I wholeheartedly believe Zac's story will be full of chaos and character build lol. Can't wait for book 3!

Frankie goes back to school after 10 years, Benjamin is her teacher. He is also the best man at her brother's wedding. a sweet enemy to lover's story.

A cute little romance that was organized like a 3- act play that was very enjoyable and fun. The dual POV adds to the story by giving you insight about the character motivations and thoughts.

Frankie Miller is going back to school to get her masters in social work. Her advisor suggested she take a family law class and she is put into Professor Benjamin Clark’s class. Professor Clark is a young hard nosed teacher who expects nothing short of perfection from his students. He embarrasses her on the first day because he isn’t happy to have her in his class (she's not a law student) and they become fast enemies. She won’t back down and quit the class and he does everything to get her to fail.

Over winter break, Frankie returns home for her brother's wedding and is floored when she meets her brother's best man Benji (aka Professor Clark!) The tension grows into a fierce attraction between them and when they get stranded in a cabin during a winter storm, these two act on their attraction but Benji, not a believer in relationships, quickly tells her it was nothing even though deep down he wants to explore things with her. Can these two ever get on the same page and keep the attraction between them burning?

Benji was wishy-washy, always attracted to her but he flipped and flopped over her a lot. He also was jealous when she talked to other guys and turned into an alpha male even though he pushed her away.

The supporting characters could have been flushed out a bit more. I lost track of who they were and had to think about it when they popped up in the story. It's also partially my fault for not reading the first book in this series between Frankie’s brother and Lucy.

This ended as a HEA for now. Didn't get endgame vibes with these two. He clearly has some issues with marriage and she is attracted to him but I never got the vibe that she actually likes him as they don't know much about each other.

I LOVED this. It had all the good tropes. Forced proximity. Forbidden ( sort of ) romance, grumpy x sunshine. AH I loved it.
I loved Benjamin from the start, and Frankie was hilarious.
There were parts that I found quite difficult to read due to how emotional they were, but obviously I plowed through (if you pardon the pun!)
If I could read this book again for the first time, I would!

This was such a cutesy, wintery vibe with some of my favorite tropes: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, brother’s best friend. An author can do no wrong with The Holy Trinity in their book.

I absolutely loved the first 70% of this book. It was very fast-paced and easy to keep saying “one more chapter” especially because the chapters were short.

But the last 30% lost me…especially when the miscommunication came in… nope. Sorry, I just can’t. Had to drop a star. This is my least favorite trope and just prolongs the third act break up when it can be resolved with a simple conversation.

Going into this, I didn’t know Love Under Snowfall was the second book in the Stranded in Leavenworth series. It absolutely can be read as a stand-alone, I had no problem learning the characters and following along. However, I’m the type that needs to read a series in order just because that’s who I am. 🥲 I really enjoyed the descriptions, dialogue, and characters so I will definitely be going back to read the first. And I will definitely be reading the third one once it comes out.
