This wintery romance is a fun, slow-burn take on the enemies-to-lovers vibe. Frankie, a grad student trying to restart her life, immediately butts heads with her tough law professor, Benjamin, who also happens to be her brother’s best friend. Awkward! Things heat up when they get stranded together in a blizzard on a wedding trip, and their mutual annoyance turns into undeniable chemistry.
The banter is sharp, and the emotional depth gives the story more weight, especially as they both deal with some heavy personal stuff. It’s a bit predictable, but the tension and romance are strong enough to keep you hooked. Heads up for some explicit scenes and deeper topics like trauma, but overall, this is a cozy, feel-good read perfect for a cold night.

I loved book one Love by a Landslide. So I was thrilled to get my hands on Love Under Snowfall book two in the Stranded in Leavenworth series by K. L. Parsons.
A fun enemies to lovers rom-com that I truly enjoyed reading.
The characters are realistic and relatable.
An exciting adventurous romance.

K.L. Parsons's Love Under Snowfall, the second installment in the Stranded in Leavenworth series, is a delightful read that stands strong on its own merits. Although I wasn’t aware that it was a sequel, the book managed to capture my interest and provide an engaging experience, even if some references to the first book piqued my curiosity.

The story follows Frankie, the sister of the male lead from Love by a Landslide, as she navigates grad school and an antagonistic relationship with her professor, Benjamin Clark. The tension between them, intensified by a snowstorm that forces them into close quarters, sparks a series of revelations and unexpected chemistry. Parsons adeptly uses the forced proximity trope to build tension and develop a compelling romance.

One of the book’s strengths lies in its vibrant character development. The interactions between Frankie and Benji, initially marked by hostility and misunderstanding, evolve into a nuanced and heartfelt connection. This transformation is portrayed with skill, making the progression of their relationship both believable and engaging. The supporting characters, who were more prominent in the previous book, add charm and depth to the narrative, enriching the overall experience.

While the story does include elements from the first book, which left me wishing for a bit more context, it didn’t significantly detract from my enjoyment. The glimpses of past plotlines added intrigue but also highlighted the benefit of reading the series in order.

As for the upcoming third book in the series, which will focus on Zac, I’m cautiously optimistic. Although Zac wasn’t my favorite character in this installment, I’m intrigued by the potential for a redemption arc and am eager to see how his story develops.

Overall, Love Under Snowfall is a sweet and entertaining rom-com, perfect for fans of the forced proximity trope. The witty banter and romantic tension make it a fun read, though occasional cringe-worthy moments momentarily pulled me out of the story. If you enjoy a good romance with a touch of humor and the charm of a snowy setting, this book is worth picking up.

Love Under Snowfall was an absolute treat to read! I truly enjoyed this book. A broody teacher and determined student romance with lots of tension, great banter and pleeeeenty of forced proximity. The plot was great, it was fast-paced but didn’t feel rushed, and there were lots of laugh out loud moments. This was a great holiday read!

Formulaic and predictable? Absolutely! While those two items can make a book unbearable, there is a certain charm in this story. I enjoyed both of the characters and was able to understand both of their perspectives.

There were a few parts where I had to suspend my disbelief. I personally cannot imagine that anyone would ask an old friend who had never even met their sibling to be their best man! As well as not knowing what said friend does for a living!

I also struggled with the fact that the book is set in the area of Washington where I live and yet the vernacular of someone who is visiting his mother in my town was jarring. No one says INTERSTATE 5! It is I5!

Thank you NetGalley and Victory editing for this ARC, I was really excited about this book when I read the description, enemies to lovers? Yes please
This book is a fun rom com, I enjoyed the banter between the two characters but there were times when the main characters would say something really cringe 😬 and it would take me out of the story a little bit
Overall I would recommend this book if you’re looking for an easy and quick read

Thankyou netgalley, victory editing and K.L Parsons for the chance to read this book!
Love under snow fall is the second book in the series, stranded in leavenworth.
I will start my review by saying i didn’t read the first book in this series, while I was able to read this as a stand alone i would have understood the relationship of some characters better if I had read book 1.

I found nearly every trope that I love I This book!
Those being - enemies to lovers, grumpy x sunshine, brothers best friend , professor x student, one bed and so on…

The spice scenes were perfect! However I did feel the main characters were missing something.
The author does write this from a third person POV which isn’t usually my thing however considering how the whole book has been it wasn’t an issue at all.

Over all a rating of 4.5🥰

I read this story in one evening! I couldn’t put it down. At first because I was so mad at professor prick that I wanted to see how this played out. He was so mean to Frankie. But I knew that would be short lived. Frankie was a fighter. She worked so hard in school and life and deserved all the happiness. Once she finds out the professor is her brother’s best friend and best man she doesn’t know what to think! She definitely has feelings for him as well. I think they both started at first just wanting each other. No feelings involved until they had to survive together. It was a great story. Both having emotional damage and overcoming it! I highly recommend this read.

Thank you NetGalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and K. L. Parsons for the early access copy of Love Under Snowfall.

Love Under Snowfall is the story of Francesca “Frankie” Miller and Benjamin Clark, told in a dual-point-of-view. Frankie is a graduate student, who on her first day makes an enemy out of her law school professor by showing up late and unprepared. While she is taking her master's in social work, she is trialing a cross-discipline course with Family Law. Much to Professors Clark's dismay. Professor Benjamin Clark is determined to make Frankie's life as hard as it can be.

When Benjamin prepares to be the best-man at his best friend's wedding, he suddenly learns his best friend's sister happens to be Frankie. Guilt ridden from tormenting and lusting after Frankie, Benjamin is determined to strike a truce with Frankie at the wedding in hopes of not adding stress to his best friend. While Frankie can't get over how much of a prick her professor has been, she can't deny her attraction to him. Determined to spend as small amount of time during their truce and the wedding, Frankie is suddenly thrust into a bad situation when a pre-wedding excursion leads to Benjamin and Frankie to be secluded with nothing but their frustrations and temptations.

Love Under Snowfall was hard to put down. It is an enemies-to-lovers, brother's best friend, spicy romcom with witty banter,

A great read, an enemies to lovers romance. I liked how it was told from both points of view and the characters from the first book were featured in this one too. Looking forward to the next books in this series.

I loved this book. Second chance romance, enemies to lovers and a forced proximity book rolled into one. You have me sat.
I devoured this book in one sitting. Frankie & Benjamin were such a cute couple. They had a rocky start due to their past childhood relationship. But that didn’t stop them from falling in love and having me obsessed with their journey

Thank you so much Netgalley for this book in an exchange for a honest review.

I have never loved a character like I have Frankie! How she’s been through so much yet loves so hard, she’s incredible! And despite Benjamin giving off the bad guy vibes he also comes with his own sense of trauma and reasons behind his behaviours. I found these MCs so relatable and the way in this was written was so pure, I think it’s hard to write something where the characters are so ‘human’ and ‘real’ yet still be enjoyable and that’s exactly what love under snowfall was for me, I loved it.

This was super cute! I wasn’t into it as much as the first in the series, but it was still worth the read.

While the premise and the characters were interesting, some elements of the book didn't feel believable. The MMC was supposed to be a good friend of the FMC's brother but hadn't shared some major details about his life with him. For most of the book, the FMC appeared not to be interested in a serious relationship but then seemed to have a sudden change of heart. Characters acted in a way that didn't make sense or seem consistent with their earlier behaviour. The chemistry between the lead characters was there, but the plot and character development could improve overall.

This book was such a great read, taking you through the story of Frankie and Benjamin. Frankie and Benjamin's story has a rocky start, but as they find themselves in Leavenworth, their story takes a turn giving them the nudge they needed. I enjoyed the story not being the typical MMC being the hero, rescuing the FMC.

Frankie is smart, tough, and determined. I loved her attitude to challenges, unafraid to face them head on. She's bold and despite her experiences growing up, she chooses to be the person to make the good changes. Her genuine warmth and forgivingness is exactly what Benjamins needed. While Benjamin can be frustrating, it's hard to not like him because of his childhood experiences. I found that he was logical and understood where he was coming from. He certainly displayed a lot of growth throughout the story.

Like Parsons' first book, this one had all the outdoor fun to it. We get a glimpse on how the previous book's MCs are doing, and are happily reunited with the side characters as well. The book ends a little abruptly, but certainly paves the way for the next story.

While I really enjoyed Jonathan and Lucy's story, this one didn't hit the same spot for me.
The nature descriptions are still on point in this one, and made me wish for a snow storm and a lit fireplace.
I liked both characters background stories as well as Frankie's inspiration. And God I love Todd! He really needs to be in all other books of this series!
I find Benjamin to be a little too rigid. Which is probably why I didn't believe in this "enemy to lovers vibe". And even if the best man issue is addressed in the book I feel like it's a bit farfetched.

I want to thank NetGalley, the publisher and K.L. Parsons for this ARC.
