I love visiting the National Parks, so I knew I needed to check out this book. It’s full of great photos and little anecdotes it’s an interesting book, but honestly it’s not unique from any other book about the national parks I’ve read. I read about Crater Lake and thought the story didn’t make it sound like a place people would want to visit. It was an odd story and I felt like it detracted from the amazing beauty that is crater lake! It’s an okay book, but it’s not unique or different from the many other books already published.

As a big traveler this was such a great book to read. The pictures were so beautiful and the fun facts about the parks were a great touch. I always love finding new National park books and seeing the different things I can learn before I go and see the places I’ve been.

Excellent book covering every National Park. This book is full of beautiful color photographs of each of the national parks. There are also vintage drawings like the cover. The information is informative and additional stories help add context. I didn’t know the youngest person to visit all the park’s was only 3 years old. I love visiting national parks with my annual pass and still have many more to visit. This book is a great overview but you would need to visit the NPS website or other travel guides for more detailed information on trails, camping or sights to visit.

Beautiful photography, vintage style illustrations and pertinent information about the plethora of national parks and monuments in the United States. Great for traveling in person or via armchair

This was an excellent guide and our library will definitely purchase this one! The stories helped add more context for the data and facts. A good balance of both.

This is a perfect guide and coffee book for those who are looking for immediate and brief information about the US National Parks.
Each park is presented with bit sized, longer, and trailblazing information and fantastic photos. The photos and the structure of this book are its strongest suits,
The colour scheme and the design are practically great fits and make the information easier to access, though personally, I prefer some other design styles more.
This title is a wonderful resource about National Parks and I highly recommend it.

This is a fine example of what this sort of coffee table book should be. Our author is an engaging and congenial companion. Each park gets a two page spread, complete with a crisp set of pertinent factoids, a stunning photo or two, and a colorful description of its most compelling features. The rangers' brief narratives are pertinent, informative, and personable. It wouldn't be particularly helpful as an actual travel guide, but that's not really the point. Rather, it offers the reader a delightful annotated wish list/check list/menu just right for day dreaming or, if you are a lucky traveler, reminiscing.

One of my family members has a birthday coming up and loves traveling to National Parks, so when I saw this book available for review I thought it could be right up his alley and worth getting a peek at before purchasing for him...

This. Book. Is. Breathtaking.

I couldn't ask for a more logical separation of parks, into Pacific NW and Alaska, Western, Rocky Mountains (understandably gets their own section), Southwest, Midwest, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and North Atlantic. Within each park's section, there's always an infographic with date established, location, size in square miles, visitation number, land acknowledgement and the corresponding .gov landing page.

I would recommend this to anyone who is
1) Purposely seeking out National Park info for any reason
2) Planning a trip to multiple National Parks
3) Interested in the photography, that alone earns this the Coffee Table Book title

{Thank you bunches to NetGalley, Linda Mohammad and publisher for this eARC in exchange for my honest review!}
