I love Christmas time and cooking so this cookbook is # perfect for me, I am excited to test out these recipes.
A lovely festive cook book featuring cute holiday names for each recipe, lovely illustrations, and simple but delicious recipes perfect for entertaining during the holiday season. Love how many vegan dessert options there were, they all sounded really good and not too complex which is great. I would recommend this book.
Great organization and so festive. I can't wait to try a bunch of these recipes during the holidays for guests and gifts.
Very cute names for each recipe. Although nothing new recipe wise, these were fun to peruse and look at the pictures!.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
This charming little cookbook is filled with 50 recipes both timeless and trendy, perfect for anyone who wants to bring some delicious whimsy to their holiday table.
Right off the bat, this cookbook drew me in with its adorably cozy aesthetic with little illustrated Christmas motifs throughout and whimsical chapter and recipes names (12+ Appetizers of Christmas, Deck the Halls with Sips and Sugar, Quiche Me Under the Mistletoe). Not all of the recipes are themed, but they’re all a perfect fit for your holiday meals. Who could resist appetizers in the shape of a wreath or cute reindeer themed burgers?
The recipes have clear directions and accessible ingredients measured in both cups and grams. Best of all, nearly every recipe is accompanied by a luscious full page photo that has me wanting to make them all!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for providing me an advance copy of this book.
This Christmas cookbook gives you all the Christmas feels. Its aesthetic is festive as can be. The titles are quirky and fun. The author also included measurements in grams and centimeters (much appreciated!) and the ideas of recipes are quite diverse and international. Many options to choose from although some ingredients included aren't always easily accessible everywhere.
"Feast, feast, feast like the Whos down in Whoville!"
I'll admit I was disappointed with this book. I went in expecting a very Christmas themed cookbook, and got maybe one Christmas recipe. It was very basic otherwise. For example, the Rudolph burgers were such a cute idea that I wouldn't have thought of, but everything else was pretty simple and not really Christmas-y. Genuinely, I think that was the only explicitly Christmas recipe. It was more like an aggregation of Pinterest recipes after searching "party appetizers" and then putting Christmas themed names on them. I think the book would've been better as a general cozy cookbook for winter, as I think the expectation of a Christmas heavy cookbook really weakened it.

I am always looking for new recipes, especially fun ones for around the holidays. This definitely delivered.
The Cozy Christmas Cookbook includes 50 recipes for appetizers, mains, sides, drinks, and desserts for the Christmas season. Each recipe includes an introduction, an ingredient list, and numbered directions. A majority of the recipes also include a photo, which I appreciate as it lets you see what the final dish looks like and helps you decide if you want to make it. Furthermore, many of the recipes also include a festive tip on substitutions to make or how to serve the dish, which is a nice addition. The Cozy Christmas Cookbook is a good cookbook if you are looking for ideas on what to make for the holiday season.
Lots of fun Christmas recipes! However, I'm not sure I saw anything new or different here. If you don't have a lot of recipes for the holidays, this one would be good, but overall I was left wanting a lot more from this one.
3/5 Stars
Honestly, this says cozy Christmas but some of these were just very basic recipes. nothing about this cookbook really screamed cozy Christmas. It was just a lot of Santas this and cozy Christmas that on some titles. I will say there are a few recipes that i think a great. there was a blueberry coffee cake that was pretty good, and the spiced cider donuts were a great idea. Overall there isn't really anything new or special, but there are some good recipes that I would recommend giving a try.
The recipes in this book look good although arguably are not all particularly festive and Christmassy, but that's okay. The pictures are quite appealing.
What puts me off the book massively is the tone it's written in, which is purely a style preference. Personally I found food being referred to as "yummy nomnoms" in the Introduction set my teeth on edge, as did "SLEIGH RIDE AIR FRIED" and "POLAR EXPRESS PROCESS" to indicate when you can use your different appliances on a recipe, so if you also hate this then don't buy this book! The pun names for the recipes I found quite fun, however.
A lot of the top festive tips were not really that groundbreaking, like substituting vegan cheese for real cheese if you happen to be vegan or dairy intolerant, or doubling/tripling the recipe depending on how many guests you have to feed. It kind of goes without saying, doesn't it?
As a big fan of the festive season, this book ticks all of my boxes - cosy/cozy it most certainly is!
Someone definitely had fun naming these recipes - ‘quiche me under the mistletoe’ anyone?!
Not your typically calorie-ridden feast, rather a nod to health and nutrition is made between the pages of this lovely book, (though it also has its fair share of indulgence as is required at this time of year!)
Particular highlights for me include 'Mrs Claus' chocolate on chocolate cake' and 'Rudolph's reindeer burgers' (which look utterly adorable and will be served to my resident small people at some point during this wonderful season for sure!)
The book is sectioned with punchy titles into what is broadly: starters/appetisers, mains, side dishes, and drinks/desserts.
Selling points of this book for me also include the stunning photography and the fact that measurements for recipes are given in cups/tablespoons and grams. All in all, a book of pure (cozy) joy!
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.
What a cute and fun little cookbook! This book includes everything from appetizers, main dishes and sides, to desserts and drinks. Although it is a great themed book with fun recipes, I felt it was lacking a little in the main dishes section. Some of the mains felt more like sides (soups and meatballs).

I love Christmas and I love new recipes so this cookbook looked like a great one to look through. There as so many different Christmas themed recipes in this cookbook and it seems to have something for everyone. I enjoyed the layout of this cookbook and thought the pictures accompanying each recipe were a great addition. There are definitely some recipes I want to try out, especially the Baked Apple Cider Donuts. A few of these ingredients were things I wouldn’t typically have on hand so I’m going to have to plan ahead on a lot of these, but they still look good. I’ll need to try some of these out this holiday season!
Other than the pictures having a cozy Christmas vibe to them, there is nothing Christmas-y about the recipes in this cookbook. I was so underwhelmed by this cookbook that all I could give it was a quick swipe through and then I decided to never touch it again.
Wow, what a wonderful, festive new take on traditional Christmas dishes from all over the world! This Christmas cookbook not only has beautiful, delectable pictures of the majority of the dishes, but the cutest little notes and tidbits throughout. And the charming artwork really helps to add even more Christmas spirit throughout. The author did a wonderful job of adding simple recipes along with more detailed ones to help anyone cook their way through this book. And most of the recipes have easily accessible ingredients for ease of cooking. I went and preordered this after reading it on NetGalley.
Really cute and yummy cookbook. This book is perfect for book club treats and hosting parties around the holidays. There are a lot of vegetarian and kid friendly recipes.
I love cooking and baking but doing it at Christmas is extra special. In my opinion, there is something magical about sitting down with a cookbook full of holiday recipes. The combinations of magic are endless with so many options! In this collection, Taylor Vance gathers 50 recipes to help you rediscover the magic of the season. You will find appetizers, main meals, sides, drinks, and sweet treats. Don’t expect to find all the traditional trimmings as there are plenty of other options to help you savor the season. I found the recipes simple to follow and ingredients easy to find (a win-win for me, especially during the crazy business). I do really like that each recipe includes a picture to help those who are not as creative or artistic and need the step-by-step instructions. If you’re an expert in the kitchen or super creative, then let these entries serve as suggestions to spark your own creativity.
