Hmmm is it Christmas yet? Honestly love this Christmas cookbook, it's so full of Christmas cheer and joy with amazing easy to do but tasty and crowd pleasing recipes. Love that there is a vegan eggnog and pumpkin pie creme brulee. Plus who would of thought of Christmas nachos but what a great idea for a Christmas party. Honestly this should be in every home ready for the big day
This is the cosiest and now my favourite holiday time cookbook. The recipes are easy to follow and make some of the nicest home cooked meals the family will love my personal favourite was the fa la la bean and butter nut squash minestrone.
Love to see more of these cookbooks
The Design of this book is super cute and the photos of the recipes sell it. Everything looks delicious. the recipes are a bit basic, but maybe I was expecting something a little more niche, a little more adult. However I think this is a great book for a family, especially for getting the kids involved with the cooking. I'm even going to try a couple of the recipes on my weekend.
The Cozy Christmas Cookbook by Taylor Vance is a delightful collection of 50 festive recipes designed to bring warmth and nostalgia to your holiday season. Each recipe is thoughtfully crafted to evoke the comforting flavors and traditions of Christmas, making it perfect for creating memorable holiday meals.
The cover and title of this peaked my interest first and I was excited to dive in. I did find a lot of the recipes a bit lackluster and not really invoking of the Christmas holiday with the exception of various ingredients being the traditional colors of red and green (e.g. "Feliz Fajitas" with red and green peppers). I did enjoy the dessert section, and the food images and Christmassy illustrations were adorable.
The Cozy Christmas Cookbook is full of modern Christmas recipes. I love the overall approach in this collection of recipes that anything you like can be a Christmas recipe as long as you want it to be. The recipes are well thought out, incredibly clear, and very attainable for any at home chef. I can't wait to make the stuffed artichoke chicken this year!
Christmastime is one of my favorite times of year, especially because I love to bake, so this cookbook really piqued my interest.
The cookbook looked promising, and it's ok, but I was a bit let down. I felt like the cover/title/description didn't accurately portray what was inside.
The positive:
There are 50 recipes: appetizers, mains, sides, and desserts, each with step by step instructions, festive tips, and most had full color photos. Everything looked appetizing and nothing seemed too difficult to make. Measurements were in both Imperial and Metric, so anyone in the world would be able to measure things.
The negative:
A lot of the appetizers are charcuterie board /crudité type items and I was hoping for more actual recipes.
The cookbook has no structure. At first, it feels like a regular cookbook and then about a third of the way in, most of the recipes are vegan, but then you'd have a recipe with meat and/or dairy in it. ALL of the desserts vegan, except for one random one that had Greek yogurt in it.
One recipe seemingly looks like it was a pancake recipe written for someone low carb (almond flour, coconut flour, and psyllium husks), but then it’s covered in powdered sugar.
There was a recipe for pasta that used vegan butter and nutritional yeast, but then used Parmesan cheese as a garnish. That recipe also said it was a “Polar Express Process” which makes me think it’s a quick recipe, but it wants you to make the pasta fresh?
I’m just confused by it. I feel like the vegan ingredients should have been used as an option and not the main focus since it’s not marketed anywhere that it's a vegan cookbook. Or they should have just make it a vegan cookbook. Nothing on the cover or the index lists it as vegan friendly and yet most of the mains and desserts are made with vegan ingredients.
Overall, I think the book is a cute idea, in theory, but I think it misses the mark in practice. I don’t think I’d buy this for myself because I’m not vegan and the recipes that aren't vegan are few and far between.
Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group and NetGalley. I voluntarily read an early copy of this cookbook.
This cookbook is absolutely delightful. The anecdotes accompanying each recipe help you immerse into the holiday cheer even in the midst of summer. The recipe names and presentation makes you wish Christmas was around the corner. I find this cookbook very stylish
I enjoyed the recipe selection being versatile, and especially appreciated vegan and no-meat options.
The recipes are straightforward and easy to follow. The presentation offered in the photos makes it very easy to mimic and create a fantastically looking Christmas table. Almost each recipe is accompanied by a helpful tip.
I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for inspiration with their holiday dishes.
This recipe book is actually perfection and I definitely want to add it to my collection! The cozy Christmas vibes, the great recipes, the lovely images and art just make this such a great cookbook all around. I can't wait to try some of these recipes
Such a cozy recepy book that not only inspires flipping through but also gives great instructions and a healthier take on Christmas recipes
"The Cozy Christmas Cookbook" is a delightful collection of festive recipes perfect for the holiday season. The book is filled with cozy, easy-to-follow recipes that make everything look absolutely fabulous, including the drinks! If you're looking to add some warmth and flavor to your Christmas celebrations, this cookbook is a wonderful addition to your collection.
This is a cute cookbook that definitely is happy to spread Christmas cheer. The recipes have names that encourage the cook to get into the holiday spirit. And the photographs are beautifully and deliciously presented.
It starts with appetizers, which include a few charcuterie trays and quite a nice selection of finger appetizers. Most are quite easy, though a few are a bit more complex. The entrees and sides follow a similar pattern, with a eye toward casual entertaining, or family meals.
There are some yummy, yet fancy looking non-alcoholic beverages, and some easy, casual desserts.
This book is perfect for casual entertainers, harried holiday makers, newish cooks, and fun family meals. I can see this book being pulled off the self year after year to keep precious holiday memories alive.
Super cute and wholesome cookbook! I will be making some of these recipes over the holiday season they sound simple and fun! 🎄
Amazing cookbook perfect for Christmas. Some great recipes and something for everyone. A wide range of food from starters to mains to puddings and uses a range of meat and vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend for some Christmas inspiration.
Visually, very festive and beautiful! ALMOST every recipe has a photo, I wish the book included just a few more photos so that every recipe had one.
I love that the recipes are simple and accessible enough for the average person!
Many recipes have more of a modern healthier feel than traditional calorie laden holiday dishes. This is great but it isn’t what I was expecting with the title “The Cozy Christmas Cookbook”.
Thank you for the eARC!
Loved looking through this Christmas cookbook. I'm excited for the holidays to be around the corner to make a few selections. The titles were very cute, pictures bright and recipes easy to follow.
This cookbook is filled with wonderful recipes not only for Christmas but for the whole winter season.

I am actually hungry right now and I am missing DECEMBER!
Reading this cookbook will surely make you feel the same way! The recipes are really easy to make with ingredients that are easily available in most homes.
The preparation steps are simple enough for everyone to follow and I totally recommend Felix Navidad Tapas Four Ways on page 18. You just need to get the book! Try it!
