Overall I liked this book... a lot, it was paced right, the dialogue was on point, the family dynamics and the resolution was realistic and Roman gets all the stars for being vocal, supportive, protective and loving. I am taking off a star because it sounded like every pers9n in this friends group was type A billionaire types and that trope just annoys me a lot.

Loved the tremendously. The audio is fire. I'd love a whole series about these characters. It read so quick and none of the angst was between the couple which is a nice change of pace at times.

5 stars!
"Only for the Week" by Natasha Bishop is THAT BOOK!!!! The book I have been searching for for a long time. I could NOT put this book down. It enraptured me from beginning to end, and when it ended, I wanted MORE! This book is teeming, absolutely brimming with chemistry, vibes, and fantastic banter, wonderful characters, excellent settings, just perfection all around. Everything about this story feels so realistic and true to life. The characters and their interactions all feel like something you'd hear from a real-life group of friends. The jokes, the conversations, the honesty, the bickering, all true to life. Janelle and Rome..... oh my goodness, this is a couple I am going to think about for a long time. What a terrific pairing! I loved them together, even though their connection was insta-love-y, I was smitten with their chemistry. THIS is the way you do insta-love, so take note! I think because Janelle and Rome were thrust together in a forced proximity situation (Janelle's sister's destination wedding), they have no choice but to get to know one another without all the rigamarole. Rome is top-tier book boyfriend material. I couldn't believe that Janelle's sister was going to get married to her ex! I was waiting with bated breath to find out what was going to happen with that situation. I plowed through this book so quickly. You HAVE TO read this book! It is steamy, well written, SWOONY!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Natasha Bishop, and Zando Projects for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

Rome Martin is the standard. he is the blueprint. he is what all men should strive to embody. i cannot believe how fiercely and openly he was able to love Janelle, and how determined he was from the jump. it was so beautiful to see a black woman loved so beautifully by a black man. black love gone win everytime!!!!
needless to say, Amerie and the mama was DEAD wrong…Janelle hold out a lot longer than i mighta tbh. i know you can’t help who you love but Arnold….the sister???? took keep it in the family to a whole nother level.
i loved the vacation vibes, it just really amped up the whole romance. very well written love story, 2 weeks to forever for those two 😍

I read this book in two days, I couldn't put it down. It was amazing! The pacing was perfect, the dialogue between the characters was so realistic. I felt like was in the hotel watching the story unfold, there was more to the plot than just romance which I absolutely loved. I couldn't get enough of Rome, he went out of his way to make sure Janelle was comfortable and happy, he pushed her to start putting herself first. I definitely see myself reading this again in the future.

*Only for the Week* by Natasha Bishop is a sizzling, whirlwind romance that’s as fun as it is daring. Packed with forbidden chemistry, stolen moments, and an unforgettable destination setting, this story will have you laughing, swooning, and turning pages late into the night. Janelle’s journey from chaos to unexpected connection is a wild ride you won’t want to miss—perfect for fans of drama, passion, and a touch of scandal!

Addictive, bingeworthy, SPICY, and so much freaking FUN. I read this on audiobook in a matter of a few hours. This was the kind of book that made me find chores around the house all weekend, just so I didn't have to stop reading.
What to Expect:
-🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
-Badass FMC
-He is OBSESSED
-Gamer MMC
-Nonstop Drama
-Tropical Getaway
Both narrators gave a stunning performance and this author's writing style? PERFECTION. I was laughing and swooning and altogether falling so in love with this entire cast of characters!!

Loved the love story but hated her trifling sister and the say they tried to make it seem like she was the pitiful one instead of the sister sleeping with her ex. Other than that it was a lovely story.

I really enjoyed this book. I have never read this author before but I was not let down. The chemistry was perfect and the conflict was not what I expected. I found myself smiling so hard while reading it. I can’t wait to read more from this author and see what she has next for the series!

One of my favorite romances it’s flawless. The forbidden romance to a man who is OBSESSED! I’ll never forget this book. The family drama was also interesting and Rome is the THE book boyfriend. I love him.

Natasha Bishop is a must read author and Only for the Week is hot romance that had me swooning!
I mean talk about drama, Janelle certainly has quite the backstory but Rome Martin? the man that he is. An absolute perfection of a book boyfriend. I went into this reading and could not put it down. I devoured this in a sitting. Another thing I loved is that it's not full of filler, It's quick paced, easy to read, easy to binge and it's so good! The way Rome was to Janelle was everything. He is so attentive, detail oriented and so loving. One thing I loved was the healthy communication between them. It felt like two fully mature adults having a relationship that communicate and truly want to be with each other. I was rooting for them so hard! A man that just wants you to have the best week and worships you? yes please! This book is more than just a vacation fling. It's steamy and packed with romance that will have you wondering me when? I loved this book and cannot wait to read more by Natasha Bishop!

3.5 stars
This was my first Natasha Bishop book, but it most certainly will not be my last! Her writing felt relatable and authentic, drawing me in to the story and helping me to understand character motivations and emotions.
This book was MESSY, but in the best way. Family drama at a destination wedding? Sign me up! Janelle and Rome's romance fought with the wedding drama to keep my attention at times, but I wouldn't change anything about that. Sometimes a romance needs a strong subplot to run alongside it - and this book has that!

I love Natasha Bishop. This was fun, steamy, and a beautiful display of Black love. Steam rating would be a 3 out of 5, and I loved the characters so much! I would love to see this optioned and adapted for a film.

Was this a bad book? No. Was it a good book? Also, no.
I don't know what happened with me and this book. I have so many mutuals who absolutely LOVED it, but I, for the life of me, could not get into it!!!
I do think that this is a book that I could've potentially enjoyed more as an audiobook.

This book had my mouth opened for more than 90%. Whew, chile some of the things were not so unbelievable to me, but it was more like I couldn't believe this was happening. I heard a lot about this book before I read it and let's just say I'm glad I took the time to read it myself. Great book and I would recommend it. I did realize that I did read this book before but with a different cover but it was so good it was worth the re-read.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Janelle Cross is a successful OBGYN, sister of the bride and maid of honor. Rome Martin is a successful Game Developer, best friend of the groom and best man. The two hook up during the vacation/destination wedding. The only hitch is Janelle's sister Amarie is the bride and Arnold, Janelle's ex boyfriend is the groom. They broke up amicably so it doesn't bother her that her sister and him are together but it seems she is the only one who knows that.
Rome turns out to be exactly what Janelle needs. The amount of attention and love he showers Janelle with throughout their time together is unmatched. He was tired of watching Janelle putting herself second for any and everybody. He went out of his way to ensure that Janelle enjoyed herself. Baby I would've given Rome all my Yes's too. That man was all about her and took up for her while she was there and even when she wasn't.
I was absolutely irked by Amarie. The amount of side eyes I gave her was ridiculous. Then Arnold had some audacity too. I did love the friend group and their interactions with each other. They cracked jokes but could check each other when needed. Each character was relatable and by the end you really feel like you know them. Natasha Bishop doesn't not miss.

Thank you netgally and zando for the e-Arc. My opinions are being left voluntarily. I read this as an indie book and loved it as a traditionally pubbed book even more. The updated cover is just gorgeous and works perfectly with the book. I loved the story, the heat was next level and the side characters only added to it. No notes. I am.so excited to see what's next from Natasha.

Y'ALL!! This book had me screaming in all the best ways! Like, first of all the premise of this book - gold! Janelle's sister getting married to her ex - excuse me?! I INHALED THIS BOOK THIS BOOK IN TWO DAYS! I alternated between and audiobook and an eARC from NetGalley (which thank you thank you thank you for the eARC). I was not expecting to like this book or feel giddy or be kicking my feet at Rome and Janelle!
This book was a 10/10. Rome is amazing - i promise you I was less than 10% in and I was already in love with him. Not only was he attentive in terms of emotional well being and physical well-being, he was just such a good gentleman to Janelle and out of respect for his friendship with Arnold.
Janelle is deserving of all good things in life. There's no way that ANY version of myself would be able to handle my BLOOD SISTER getting engaged to my ex, even if me and that ex were the best of friends and ending on the very best terms - there's NO WAY. I loved loved loved her character development throughout the book, and i hope her nothing but happiness.

This story follows Janelle as she travels to Tulum for a wedding that’s sure to be complicated—her sister is marrying her ex. Family gatherings are already tough, but this one adds a special layer of awkwardness and emotional conflict.
During the week, Janelle meets Rome, a wedding guest who helps her escape the family tension. Rome is charming, caring, and always knows just what to say. Sometimes, he seems almost too perfect, lacking any real flaws, which makes him feel a bit unrealistic. But if you want the ideal romantic lead, Rome fits that role perfectly.
The setting is one of the best parts of this story. Who doesn’t love a destination wedding? It brings great vibes and, if you’re lucky, a little holiday romance. While some parts of the story felt a bit unrealistic, the dreamy setting and perfect romance add to its appeal. If you’re looking for a book boyfriend to adore, you’ll definitely love Rome.
As Janelle and Rome’s connection grows, their brief holiday fling turns into something deeper. Set against Tulum’s beautiful beaches, Only for a Week mixes a passionate romance with the challenges of family dynamics. If you enjoy a love story that’s both exciting and filled with emotional twists, this book might be just right for you.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for this ARC in exchange for a honest review.
I really loved this read. Let me just say though, YOUR SISTER MARRYING YOUR EX???? That would have been the start of a thriller not a romance. Luckily this is a romance story! Rome is deff the ideal book boyfriend. While I think it took the FMC too long to address the issues with her family, the romance aspect of this book was great!
