This book had my mouth opened for more than 90%. Whew, chile some of the things were not so unbelievable to me, but it was more like I couldn't believe this was happening. I heard a lot about this book before I read it and let's just say I'm glad I took the time to read it myself. Great book and I would recommend it. I did realize that I did read this book before but with a different cover but it was so good it was worth the re-read.

Janelle Cross is a successful OBGYN, sister of the bride and maid of honor. Rome Martin is a successful Game Developer, best friend of the groom and best man. The two hook up during the vacation/destination wedding. The only hitch is Janelle's sister Amarie is the bride and Arnold, Janelle's ex boyfriend is the groom. They broke up amicably so it doesn't bother her that her sister and him are together but it seems she is the only one who knows that.
Rome turns out to be exactly what Janelle needs. The amount of attention and love he showers Janelle with throughout their time together is unmatched. He was tired of watching Janelle putting herself second for any and everybody. He went out of his way to ensure that Janelle enjoyed herself. Baby I would've given Rome all my Yes's too. That man was all about her and took up for her while she was there and even when she wasn't.
I was absolutely irked by Amarie. The amount of side eyes I gave her was ridiculous. Then Arnold had some audacity too. I did love the friend group and their interactions with each other. They cracked jokes but could check each other when needed. Each character was relatable and by the end you really feel like you know them. Natasha Bishop doesn't not miss.

The updated cover is just gorgeous and works perfectly with the book. I loved the story, the heat was next level and the side characters only added to it. No notes. I am.so excited to see what's next from Natasha.

Y'ALL!! This book had me screaming in all the best ways! Like, first of all the premise of this book - gold! Janelle's sister getting married to her ex - excuse me?! I INHALED THIS BOOK THIS BOOK IN TWO DAYS! I alternated between and audiobook and an eARC from NetGalley (which thank you thank you thank you for the eARC). I was not expecting to like this book or feel giddy or be kicking my feet at Rome and Janelle!

This book was a 10/10. Rome is amazing - i promise you I was less than 10% in and I was already in love with him. Not only was he attentive in terms of emotional well being and physical well-being, he was just such a good gentleman to Janelle and out of respect for his friendship with Arnold.

Janelle is deserving of all good things in life. There's no way that ANY version of myself would be able to handle my BLOOD SISTER getting engaged to my ex, even if me and that ex were the best of friends and ending on the very best terms - there's NO WAY. I loved loved loved her character development throughout the book, and i hope her nothing but happiness.

This story follows Janelle as she travels to Tulum for a wedding that’s sure to be complicated—her sister is marrying her ex. Family gatherings are already tough, but this one adds a special layer of awkwardness and emotional conflict.

During the week, Janelle meets Rome, a wedding guest who helps her escape the family tension. Rome is charming, caring, and always knows just what to say. Sometimes, he seems almost too perfect, lacking any real flaws, which makes him feel a bit unrealistic. But if you want the ideal romantic lead, Rome fits that role perfectly.

The setting is one of the best parts of this story. Who doesn’t love a destination wedding? It brings great vibes and, if you’re lucky, a little holiday romance. While some parts of the story felt a bit unrealistic, the dreamy setting and perfect romance add to its appeal. If you’re looking for a book boyfriend to adore, you’ll definitely love Rome.

As Janelle and Rome’s connection grows, their brief holiday fling turns into something deeper. Set against Tulum’s beautiful beaches, Only for a Week mixes a passionate romance with the challenges of family dynamics. I really loved this read. Let me just say though, YOUR SISTER MARRYING YOUR EX???? That would have been the start of a thriller not a romance. Luckily this is a romance story! Rome is deff the ideal book boyfriend. While I think it took the FMC too long to address the issues with her family, the romance aspect of this book was great!

Where’s my Rome!!! I devoured this book so quickly, it was a very easy read! The spice scenes were also pretty intense too but it’s easy to get into because the FMC and MMC are very easy to love.

Natasha Bishop can do no wrong. I actually read this book when it was indie published and own the indie copy. This book was even better the second time around. Rome is the perfect MMC and everything about this story is so good.

Only for the Week was one of my favorite releases of 2023 and I was thrilled to see that it is now getting traditionally published!!
Janelle is off to Mexico for her sister’s wedding, where she is the Maid of Honor and the groom is her ex boyfriend. While some may think she’s devastated by this, she is doing better than ever. While the wedding party spends a week on vacation before the wedding festivities begin, she and Rome, the best man, begin a fling of their own. But Rome is not willing to let her go after this trip is over.

This book was as good as I remembered and Rome is still a top-tier book boyfriend! The love, care, and respect he shows Janelle is EVERYTHING. And the smut is too good!

The additional content in this edition was everything I could have ever wanted. I literally screamed when I got to the end of the book and saw how many extra chapters it had! And I just loved seeing more of Rome and Janelle’s relationship and getting updates on what they and others are up to.

I can’t wait for the next book in this series! And hopefully, it’s more than just one because I need all of their stories!!

Natasha said girl, your favorite book boyfriend’s got nothing on Rome Martin!! 😂 She seriously delivered the crème de la crème of book boyfriends in this story! I screamed and giggled so hard during the yacht and video game scenes my heart can’t take it! 😍 Absolutely loved getting a peek into their lives together in the bonus scenes!

On top of the swoon worthy moments, this book beautifully tackled how we can’t let those closest to us, even family, drain our energy or take advantage of us. It was the perfect example of setting healthy boundaries. I absolutely adored this story and can’t wait to dive into more of her work!

Listen, Rome is my new book boyfriend! If standing on business was a person, it would be Rome! This is a re-release with new cover art and pages with designs, and I am here for it! I will definitely be ordering myself a copy.
This story will give you all the FEELS, EMOTIONS, etc. I enjoyed this story so much. It will be a comfort read for me. The messiness this storyline gives is laugh-out-loud funny. I annotated so many paragraphs. Not to mention I devoured this book in one day!

This book was so cute and made me swoon! Rome & Janelle were adorable and relatable and spicy! First thing first we love successful educated characters!! Every character had something going for them! Come on black excellence! Second…We also love a man who reads smut with you…top tier book boyfriend material!! Third…Couldn’t stand Janelle’s mom and sister. Won’t give too much away but there was so much to love about this book. It was a quick read, enjoyed every part! Now I’m invested, need to know about these characters and this author! 5 stars all around!

Rome made it to the book bae list 6% in when he was described as having “tree trunk thighs”. The writing was pretty good, too, though I wasn't as hooked as I wanted to be

When I saw the title and the author, my first thought was “ I read this!” When I saw it was being republished I couldn’t wait to see what was added. Let me tell you the author didn’t disappoint.

Janelle and Rome’s story is a poignant tale of not being able to put a time limit on attraction and love. Before they even got on the plane to their destination the chemistry between these 2 characters were emitting pheromones to me as I read this book. Janelle was so worried about what other thinks while Rome was worried about her. The way he catered to her the whole book is so endearing and wonderfully illustrated.

The additional chapters and epilogue that were added bring a level of completion to the book that I didn’t know was needed. I don’t want to give anything away. You’ll just have to read it for yourself.

In the end, an excellent read. Anticipating at least 2 more books for some matches that I want to see made with the supporting characters.

One of my favorite romance books I’ve read . To see how Janelle is loved completely and unconditionally by Rome was more than icing on the cake. Janelle is attending a wedding in Mexico for her sister who is marrying her ex boyfriend. Everyone seems to think this is okay except for Janelle of course but she’s trying to be quiet and just be there for her sister but there is only so much someone can do. Also Janelle’s mother is not making this easy for her at all. She needs some therapy in the mothering department for sure. I highly recommend this book for readers who are looking for there next book boyfriend but also the reader who wants to see a happy ending for the girls who get sh*t on.

It's rare you get a five star read that takes you through so many emotions but Only For The Week by Natasha Bishop is one of those reads. This book follows Janelle as she journeys to Tulum with her family for her sisters wedding who just to happens to be marrying her ex. Along comes Rome who has become one of our favorite book boyfriends to save our girl from having a terrible time. Throughout this spicy masterpiece, Rome proves many times that he is Janelle's safe space and while he fell first, she falls just as fast. The latest edition of this book fills in some of the story gaps of what happened to Janelle and Rome when they get back home to Baltimore and their life leading up to his proposal. This book was such a joy to read and I look forward to the other books in this series!

Only for the Week was my first Natasha Bishop read, and Janelle and Rome definitely didn’t disappoint! Their story pulled me in right away. Janelle isn’t fazed by her ex marrying her sister, but everyone else seems convinced she’s secretly suffering—except Rome. He’s had a thing for her forever and appreciates her for exactly who she is.

The spice? Oh, it was spicing! But what really stole the show was how openly and genuinely into Janelle Rome was. No games, just pure devotion. His love language? All of the above! Acts of service, words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch—he’s got it covered, and he makes sure Janelle feels every bit of it. Their playful chemistry was so charming, and seeing him be her rock while she worked through family drama was such a heartwarming bonus.

Overall, it’s a fun, quick read. Sure, Janelle’s sister got on my nerves, but Rome’s fierce love and unwavering support more than made up for it!
