I love love love Abby Jimenez so was thrilled to get have an early copy of this new release. Abby's books are so well written, mixing romance with deeper real life situations. This book was funny, starting with a cat that literally had no butthole. Insta-love happened and an unexpected cross-country move resulting in a long distance relationship. This was beautifully written, showing the pain that comes with caretaking for someone with dementia, as well as the pain with a long distance relationship.

Absolutely loved--thanks so much for the copy!

Okay. I have thoughts on this one.
I LOVE Abby Jimenez books and recommend them to everyone that will listen.

This one HURT. It was painful and beautiful. I would highly recommend trigger warnings if you have family drama/issues or any kind of trigger with Alzheimer’s, dementia, in a parent. Caregiver strain is real and definitely something to be aware of.

That said. The MMC I adore. What a man. Their beautiful relationship and every freaking obstacle in the world. The FMC and her fierce familial loyalty even at the expense of her happiness was hard to watch but also admirable.

I still don’t know how I feel about the book. It’s definitely an Abby Jimenez book with the heart wrenching story but it felt so real.

Whew I don’t know. I have to process this one

I think it's physically impossible for me to not like an Abby Jimenez book, just like it's probably impossible for her to write a "bad" book. Although "Say You'll Remember Me" truthfully isn't my favorite (Just For The Summer really just set the bar ridiculously high, not her fault), I did still really enjoy this one. Abby's books are always so much more than a romance. They're deeply emotional and our main characters always go through so much, I think this one more so than the rest of her novels. I think I'm so used to forced proximity, I was taken aback by the forced.. distance? I don't think I've encountered a "romance" novel that not only navigated a long distance relationship but the familial struggles that Samantha was going through, not only with her mother's condition but learning to be a full-time caregiver to someone who was slowly forgetting you. She had to work a bit harder to convince me of the romance, but it still worked!! I think Abby Jimenez' voice and emotional range is consistently great in every body of work she puts out in the world. I'm forever grateful to be able to alive at the same time to read them.

Thank you Forever pub for the eARC ♥️

Wow, what else can I say that others haven't said about this book? It's real, emotional, moving, sweet, sad, romantic, full of yearning. The characters are kind people who are so down bad for each other, I lived for it. I love how Abby Jimenez writes about grounded people with modern problems, like a business they're committed to with people they employ, and parents they need to move home for, and siblings and friends who aren't perfect but still remain lovable and loving. I stayed up till 4 a.m. reading this book and I have no regrets. I'll be recommending this book to all my friends and anyone who asks me for a recommendation for a solid romance. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

To the Publishers I am grateful for the opportunity to read this Advance copy. This was my first Abby Jimenez book and I loved this love story. I felt like this story was unique in reading about a long-term relationship with two individuals who are wanting to create and establish careers for themselves but yet wanting to find and keep their love. I love that Xavier was handsome, smart but yet was shy and had to work through his own childhood traumas but yet was willing to make the sacrifices to make his love work with samantha. I like the real life struggles that Samantha and her family were challenged with in regards to her mother.

Don't let the cartoon couple on the gorgeous cover trick you. This one is masking as a romance and there is definitely some swoon and angst.
But this one was a really great portrait of the toll it takes to take care of a loved one with chronic illness (early dementia) and healing from abusive parents. I love the amount of care Jimenez puts into all the delicate topics and she handled these incredibly well.

I wish there was a bit more to the book. When I got halfway through, I felt like I barely knew each character. I really didn’t get to see another side to them other than what’s holding them back from each other.

Abby Jimenez is an author who I adore deeply, I have eagerly awaited every release of hers and will continue to read her books with fervor! That being said, this was unfortunately an underwhelming read for me.

Things I loved! I adored the honesty of the family dynamics surrounding caring for an aging family member, and the grief of having a loved one with Alzheimer's/dementia. I think the family dynamics in this book were raw and filled with so much truth. The MMC is one of the most giving and selfless MMCs that I've seen in a long time. You cannot help but both root for this couple and be destroyed by their circumstances.

Things I struggled with. The FMC and MMC spend very little time together on the page. Their connection is the result of one amazing date and felt a little "instant-love" to me. Their romance is devoted and intense, but without a background and with such little time spent together the connection feels somewhat shallow to me. It was hard to see each of them destroy themselves in some way for the sake of a relationship in a way that was almost toxic. Lastly, the resolution felt rushed and a little "too easy" given how much turmoil each of the characters endures

Overall I think the writing was beautiful and deeply emotional in the way you anticipate when ready an Abby Jimenez book, but was missing some of the romantic connection and oopmh her books typically have for me

4 stars

I flew through Say You’ll Remember Me, finishing it in under 24 hours—a testament to Abby’s writing. As someone who loves a romance that packs an emotional punch, this book definitely delivered, tugging at my heartstrings and making me cry numerous times. By the end, I was deeply invested in Xavier, Sam, and Sam’s entire family.

That said, while I enjoyed the story, it’s not my favorite from Abby. The tone is quite heavy, and at times, I felt the romance took a backseat to the family dynamics. Though their meet-cute was both adorable and hilarious, the early stages of Sam and Xavier’s relationship leaned a bit too much into insta-love for my personal taste.

Nonetheless, I’ll still be eagerly awaiting Abby's next release!

A big thank you to Forever Publishing for the NetGalley ARC! 💜

Just... alright? I love a good angst filled romance but this one ended up feeling incredibly repetitive. Plus, despite all the conflict and distance to overcome, the stakes felt very low - I never believed they wouldn't end up together in the end. Still, I loved all the characters and the strife felt real. I hesitate to say this is an "easy" read because some of the content is very heavy, but if you're looking for a quick read to hit you in the feels, this is possibly a good one for you!

The epitome of if he wanted to, he would! Another great read by Abby Jimenez.
Sometimes when you know... you know. There's a sweetness about veterinarian Xavier Rush that makes him a beautiful hero in Say You'll Remember Me. I was surprised by how fast I read through it. Family and the hard truths behind aging and the family that become caregivers. Thank you for another thought-provoking and emotional ride, Abby.

4.5 stars!
This book is the literal definition of "if he wanted to he would".
Xavier had me weak in the knees with all the ways he showed and told Samantha that he loved her. I love a man who appears to be a black cat but is actually a huge softie golden retriever for the ones he loves.
I knew from the author's note that this book was going to have me extremely emotional. The entire premise of a mom going through dementia (and at such a young age) and a love that is so pure and intense but has very real reasons why it shouldn't work was a lethal combination. I found myself crying at many scenes with Samantha's mom, as well as seeing just how much the two of them sacrificed to be able to be with one another.
Although I was crying basically every chapter, I still was literally laughing out loud just as much. Jiminez does a phenomenal job of weaving witty humor, heartbreaking narrative, and unforgettable love into her stories.
I have been a fan since Part of Your World and will always be a fan.

I’ve read every book by this author. I absolutely love her style of writing and storytelling. I love her characters, and the world building.

This book was nothing short of beautiful and inspiring. Love and family is what this book is about. How far would you go for the ones you love.

I highly recommend it.

though I loved the characters and the writing I did not enjoy the overall reading experience. After just for the summer was one of my favourite books last year, I went in with pretty high expectations and I just think this was a completely different kind of book. There wasn't much build up to the romance side of things, the book starts with them going on a date then the rest of the book is just them doing long distance and suffering and that just isn't fun to read about. The things going on with Samanthas mother, though very real life things, are not things I like to think about because they make me genuinely sad and I want to be mostly happy when reading romance. I do appreciate depth but not when it hurts my mental state. It felt like Xavier was just stretching himself through the whole book and even when he said it was worth it I had trouble believing a person could live like that. I loved the end with Hank and how that looped back around but overall I just don't think this was one for me.

I think it was a very beautifully written story about a long distance relationship, and the sacrifices you're willing to make to be with someone and also Being there for somebody when they're going through a really tough complicated time and it's shines a light on a lot of relationships where there are multiple obstacles to overcome and how you know the individuals in that relationship can help each other overcome those obstacles. But I felt like there was like a very distinct lack of clear plot, and that doesn't mean it was necessarily a bad thing. Very much a character story rather than one with a defined plot and i enjoyed it!!!

always can count on Abby Jimenez to write books that immediately suck me in. Really enjoyed this one and loved the characters and their connection. Xavier really is that man and I loved him. I think this is more of a women’s fiction book with a subplot of romance because the romance really took a back seat at times and although I appreciated this book and its realistic depiction of dementia and financial struggles it was sometimes too much doom and gloom. at times it was just constant bad things happening right after each other and I get that it’s realistic and life often works that way but it’s not always what I personally like in my books.

Abby does it again! I absolute devoured this book and it was such a rollercoaster of emotions. It pulled on my heartstrings, made me swoon, and had me sobbing all in the course of a day. If you are looking for a romance book that has more depth than expected, this is it! Thank you to NetGalley and Forever publishing for the e-ARC.

“She was looking at me the way she looked at mustard” 😭🥰❤️

“I think I couldn’t forget you because I remember you from a different lifetime. And I loved you then too” 😭😭😭

Ms. Abby over here just casually trying to crack open my heart and let it just feel all the damn feels

What can I say about it this book that will express my thoughts. I have always hated instalove with a passion but when I tell you that I would fight the world for Samantha and Xavier and their Instalove you best believe it!

These two are the most purest people I’ve seen (read about). You can’t help but fall in love too. The dialogue and feelings seem so genuine and true. Abby has done what most authors try to do but always fall short or cheesy.

Now the separate monster that was the illness…I felt like I was there. I felt the frustration of each character and even the nerves. I know you won’t read this Abby but I think you wrote about mental illness very very well!

This book releases April 1st and I want all of you to read it. I do not give five stars so easily but gahhh this had my cold dead heart beating. What an amazing story!

Thank you to NetGalley for the Arc
