Firebug by Lish McBride is a fast-paced, snarky urban fantasy with a unique twist. Ava, a “firebug” who can set things ablaze with her mind, is stuck working for the mob until she decides to rebel. McBride’s humor and action blend perfectly, making Ava’s journey both intense and entertaining. The story’s quirky cast, witty dialogue, and supernatural mob drama bring a fresh take to the genre. It’s a great read for fans of dark humor, tough heroines, and fantasy with a bit of edge!
I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
I had a hard time finishing this book. I gave up a while ago and haven't come back to it until now. I aologize for not giving a proper review, but this title didn't entice me to read a substantial part of the book so I feel as though a review would be premature, especially since this was so long ago.
Best of luck,
