The first novel in the Daniel Blackland series. ("Pacific Fire" and "Dragon Coast" also available now.)
An interesting and well-written read. Not what I was expecting (although, I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting, based on the synopsis). I am, however, a big fan of heist narratives, so add in the fantastical element and I was very much along for the ride.
Great writing, an engaging and diverse cast, an intriguing world (canal-based Los Angeles), and a solid plot.
Recommended.
