Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the arc of this audiobook in exchange for my honest feedback and review!
This was a fun little cozy mystery set in Twilight Cove, a close knit little oceanside town, following screenwriter Georgie who's visiting her aunts farm. Things have changed quite a bit since the last time she visited -- and mystery and murder are afoot. I really enjoyed getting to peek into this tiny little town. It was a little bit slower paced than a lot of the cozy mysteries I usually read, and there were times I got confused with what was happening simply because of the fantastical elements. Overall, I'm interested to continue reading more from this series because I really loved the characters. Definitely a good example of a cozy mystery and I enjoyed it.

This was a fun, whimsical cozy mystery. It’s the first book in the new series, Magical Menagerie Mystery. Georgie is visiting her aunt, when her neighbor Dorothy is murdered. Georgie solves the mystery with the help of Dorothy’s magical dogs and owl friend. The animals really had a lot of fun to the story. The little town of Twilight Cove, Oregon made for the perfect setting. This book has a little of something for everyone- mystery, romance, and fantasy.
If you enjoy cozy mysteries and animals, then I recommend you check out this new series! I’m looking forward to the next book!

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this ALC.
This is a fun cozy mystery set in a small ocean-side town. The vibes are immaculate. I loved the tight-knit community and the heartwarming relationships of the townsfolk. The mystery is quite complex and has its twists and turns that keep you engaged in the story. I liked the FMC, a screenwriter from LA who moves in to help her aunt on a farm for a while to find herself in the midst of a mystery that shook the town. I enjoyed the slow-burn romance story, even more so because it was not the main focus of the book but rather added to it nicely.
The doggos in this book! They are just precious, I loved every interaction with them.
The narrator Hallie Bee Bard is amazing, I want to give a separate shout-out for the dog sounds she does, it was darling.
This book is witty and funny and well written. The author keeps you invested in the characters and the story the whole time. I could not put it down and devoured it in one go. I'd love to see the continuation of this series.

A screenwriter of mysteries drives up to a coastal Oregon town to help take care of her aunt’s animal shelter while her Aunt O. recovers from a broken foot. In this cozy mystery, Georgina recalls many a summer at her aunt’s farm and reunites with a friend she hasn’t seen in over a decade. There’s a handsome ranch manager working for her aunt too, but he’s a bit taciturn. She senses he has something to hide. Georgina also meets the odd neighbor woman who can sense things about Georgie and has a couple of very well-behaved spaniels. Sadly, this woman turns up dead and the police suspect Georgie possibly acting on behalf of her aunt. It’s a leap, but it drives the whodunnit plot forward. The mystery has a few more twists and turns, and takes some suspension of belief or, rather, belief in the spirituality of animals, but it manages to be entertaining and sweet. I did figure out the killer (which I never try to do, preferring to be surprised), but by then I was invested in the characters and wanted that cozy mystery satisfactory ending. 3.6 rounded up.
My thanks to the author, publisher, producer, and #NetGalley for early access to the audiobook for review purposes. Publication date is Sept 3, 2024, so you won’t have to wait long for #MurderMostOwl

Murder Most Owl is the fun debut paranormal cozy mystery by Sarah Fox. The.characters are likable and the mystery kept me guessing although I suspected the culprit. Georgie Johansen is in Twilight Cove helping her Aunt Olivia who broke her ankle. Georgie meets Dorothy and her two dogs while walking in the woods. A few days later the dogs lead Georgie to Dorothy's house where she is dead. The new farm hand, Callum is a good addition to the story. The dogs and owl are the stars of the book with their special powers and good timing. This was a fun and enjoyable cozy mystery. I had the audiobook and it was narrated by Hallie Bee Bard. She speaks a little slowly for me so I adjusted the audiobook speed to 1.25. #MurderMostOwl #NetGalley #SevernHouse #DreamscapeMedia

This audiobook was made available for me to listen to and review by Sarah Fox, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley.
This is a simply delightful mix of cozy mystery and romance with a touch of magic. Georgie visits her Aunt Olivia to help with her animal sanctuary while Aunt Olivia recovers from a broken ankle. Pretty much a standard cozy mystery set up with a small town full of charming characters. What I loved about this was that 3 of my favorite charming characters weren't human. I love when animals participate in cozy mysteries, it adds charm and I'm usually delighted. Which is weird cause I avoid stories in which the main character is an animal🤷🏾♀️
One important aspect of a successful cozy for me is the setting. I have to like the physical town as much as I like the residents. The town or village itself needs to have an old school cutesy charm. I like a cheerful or quirky atmosphere along with the usual cast of colorful characters. This delivered in everyway. I look forward to returning to Twilight Cove for more of Georgie's adventures.
This audiobook is narrated by Hallie Bee Bard. Hallie does an excellent job with narration but I personally found her voice grating. I think it was me and not the narrator. It rarely happens but sometimes I find a narrators voice grating through no fault of the narrator. This is such a case.

Great start to a new series. Love the touch of magic in here with the super sweet dogs. Well written and narrated good too. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

I love a book with a bit of magical realism to it. This book fit the bill. I loved Georgie’s relationship with her aunt and with the dogs. I enjoyed the first hints of romance for Georgie while she investigated the murder. This was a fun listen. Thank you to the publisher for the advanced audiobook.

Georgie Johansen is a screenwriter that lives in California. When her Aunt Olivia suffers an injury on her farm Georgie jumps at the chance to return to the small town of Twilight Cove to help out. The farm is an animal sanctuary that Georgie spent time on as a child. On her first day she encounters handsome but mysterious farm hand, Callum. She also meets the eccentric Dorothy Shale who lives in the woods and is rumored to be a witch. One morning Georgie is drawn to Dorothy's cabin by her dogs and finds that Dorothy has been murdered. First Georgie and then her aunt become suspects in the murder. Georgie decides to investigate the murder herself to find the real killer.
I had so much fun with this. The characters are all so great. There is a really great small town set up. It has a nice romance between Georgie and Callum. I loved the light magical touch on the story. I love discovering new cozy mystery worlds and can't wait to see what comes next in the series! Hallie Bee Bard's narration of the book was excellent.

This was a cozy, fun mystery with a side of romance read. With the animals involved it had a sweet Scooby Doo-like feel to it that I enjoyed. It's a fairly quick read that's perfect for a cool autumn reading day. The audiobook was done really well with a great narration.
Thank you NetGalley, Sarah Fox, and Dreamscape Media for this audiobook ARC.

Murder Most Owl is a delightful cozy mystery that happens to feature a murder plot. Really it’s the adventures of a woman and her two very special canine friends. I felt that the mystery plot line was well done. There were enough clues to help figure out the culprit if you paid attention, but there were also plenty of misdirections woven throughout. In all honesty, I would have read this for the mischief Georgie and Dorothy’s two dogs get into. I also enjoyed the slow burn romance between Georgie and the new farmhand. While there were secrets to work though, overall, their relationship was simply sweet. I read this via audiobook and really enjoyed Hallie Bee Bard’s narration. She did well to bring Georgie’s emotions out. You could feel the anxiety, exasperation, and excitement all throughout the story. I would definitely recommend reading this one via audiobook.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was perfect- a sweet, warm tone with different voices for different characters. This is the first in a new series that has so many potential storylines to make a long series! I loved the way the author described everything thoroughly- perfect for cozy writing. I can’t wait to read the next one and I highly recommend to other cozy lovers!

Murder Most Owl by Sarah Fox was a lovely little cozy mystery, and I can't wait for the next one in the series to come out. I enjoyed the narrator.

Thank you to Sarah Fox, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for allowing me to listen to a free eaudio ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Better than I expected! I guessed whodunit, but the why was a bit out of left field. Nevertheless, the mystery was intriguing. If you like this book, though, it's because you adore the animals. Georgie is likeable and endearing, as is Auntie O and Callum, but the mysteriously talented Flossy, Fancy, and Euclid are what entertained me most. It bordered on too many characters, but I think I kept track of them all. I'm a little disappointed that Callum's an affluent celebrity; I wanted him to be just an ordinary guy who likes working with animals, but it's inconsequential. I also expected the magic to be more overt, but it's fine that it's not. Overall a pleasant cozy mystery with great characters. The narrator, Hallie Bee Bard, delivered the narrative with personality and warmth, she was excellent.

Magical Doggos and a Mystical Owl! What more do you need in a new paranormal cosy? Oho, lets just give you a cinnamon roll farmhand, a seaside town, and a cracking mystery!
I must admit that I zipped through this cozy which isn't fair because it is absolutely fantastic! I wanted to give it more time and so I have by listening to the ALC and it has been just as fantastic! No matter if you read or listen to the very well narrated audiobook, this is fun, well written and the character building was delightful as was the scene setting
Sarah Fox is definitely an author to follow and I recommend Murder Most Owl very highly!
