I read this with my son and he enjoyed it. The illustrations were good and overall it was a good children’s book with a good meaning behind it.

My son's review:
I love the poo. It was hilarious. I liked the toilet hidden in the tree trunk. I learned many languages to make people confused and me giggle. Sally seemed funny, especially when she hid her bedroom mess in her closet. 5 stars!!

My review:
I truly thought this was funny. I liked how the author stated how to pronounce each word and then used it in a sentence. We giggled a lot while reading this. The illustrations were perfect and rather in-depth with such details. It's such a cute but funny read!

I received this ARC from NetGalley to read/review. All of the statements are my true opinions after fully reading this book.

Nice introduction to other languages for children. I liked that instead of just being about how to say “poo” it was about the sound of the word and how that sound is a word in other languages. The art style was nice. It reminded me of Garfield comics.

I was pleasantly surprised that it was not infact a book on how to say poo(p) in different languages, but instead a book that showcased how the same sound is used in words across various languages.
The artwork is simple and reminiscent of the books I grew up with. I was slightly put off by the father's face on some pages, but the kids had no problem with him.
If your child has a habit of yelling out "poo" I could see this as a good way to curb that behaviour into saying other words instead. It's a short and funny introduction to other languages too, if your child is only used to Englsih so far.
I would have like to see a page, at least, with all the different 'poo's in a sentence or paragraph; it would've been humorous and interesting to the see the comparisons side by side.

It is otherwise quick and easy to read to children, best aimed at those under 5.

A cute, funny way to get children interested in different languages. Loved the art work.
As a South African, I'm glad Afrikaans was thrown into the mix.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This was cute and it's never too early to get kids thinking about language, how it sounds and that there are different languages. And I've never known a kid who didn't think poo is funny (because it is funny!). Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.

This book makes learning new words and languages an enjoyable experience for children. It cleverly combines fun with education, using a playful and slightly silly approach to engage young readers. Despite its lighthearted tone, it remains highly educational, making the process of learning both effective and entertaining.

A book of foreign words and expressions that sound like poo, it is an interesting, short, fun break from today's reality.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this advance readers copy in exchange for my honest feedback. Oh how I wish this book was around when my son and daughter where little. I know it would have made them snicker and giggle! This book not only has a little bit of fun in it because of the use of the word 'poo' but it teaches children there other meanings to our words in different languages. The illustrations are wonderful and very animated which make this book fun for the young ones! A perfect book to add to your childrens bookshelf! :) #raiseareader

Loved how this book really showcases other languages and encourages interest in learning other languages for kids! Who would've thought the word poo means so many things to other people!
