I had a really hard time getting into this novel but I purchased it from my library anyway as several students were very interested on the description. I’ve had a handful of kids that have really enjoyed it, especially my die hard fantasy nerds.
This book instantly gave me Robin Hood vibes, with a touch fantasy.
I would say that parts of Kyra's past was a little predictable. I enjoyed the different fantasy aspect of cat shifters- such cool aspect to see in an fantasy, medieval young adult novel.
Midnight Thief was slow in the beginning, but picks up and becomes fairly interesting. I tend to enjoy assassin stories, so I figure I'd like this one. I was just missing something, though, which I can't quite put my finger on.
I started reading this book and it didn't catch my attention for a bit but sadly I ended up DNF this book. Sorry for the late review.
I didn't get a chance to read this before it expired. I'm sorry! But I did purchase both it and the sequel!
*I never got around to reading and reviewing this title.*
