This book is part of the "On thin ice" series by various authors but it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone.
This was the third book of the series that I have read and I really enjoyed it. Ellie and Zach both are characters that make you feel for them since both have problems that seem unfair. Their love-story was a bit sudden for me - it felt a bit like an insta-love story. I couldn't really relate how they would fall deeply in love over the course of two days but other than that it was quite entertaining. I loved the small-town setting and wish I could visit Maple Falls and it's festival.
I liked the cover more than the characters in this book. I found it difficult to connect with the story the way it was told. I hope it finds the right readers. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I usually enjoy books by Whitney Dineen, but I had trouble connecting with this story. I didn’t relate to the characters and found them unethical. The plot seemed juvenile and wasn’t particularly believable. I’m generally willing to give rom coms leeway for an over-the-top story, but this one went beyond my limits.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.
