Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ALC of Twisted Knight, in exchange for an honest review.

K. Bromberg's 'Twisted Knight' is an amazing romantic suspense book that immediately grabs your attention and doesn't let go. The story is a tale of forbidden love, vengeance, and a compelling past that impacts the present.

Holden's and Rowan's push-and-pull dynamic, will keep you engaged and eager to see how their relationship unfolds. Rowan, a strong and passionate businesswoman, and Holden, a driven billionaire with a dark past, are both incredibly well-developed and relatable characters. Their connection is palpable, even as their conflicting loyalties and secrets threaten to tear them apart.

The dual timeline is seamlessly integrated, providing valuable context and enriching the overall narrative. This approach allows readers/listeners to fully understand the motivations of the characters and the complexities of the plot, enhancing the suspense and the story.

The narration by Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connolly is truly exceptional. Their performances are captivating, bringing Holden and Rowan to life with incredible depth and emotion. Zeller and Connolly's ability to portray the characters' vulnerabilities and complexities adds a powerful layer to the story, making the audiobook an immersive experience.

However, be warned: the story ends on a cliffhanger. A big one!!! The abrupt ending, while certainly effective in leaving the listener wanting more, may frustrate some. My personal reaction was a scream of frustration and a desperate need for the next installment.

'Twisted Knight' is a must-listen for fans of romantic suspense. It's a gripping story with compelling characters, a well-crafted plot, and an exceptional audiobook. If you're looking for an entertaining listen that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then look no further. Just be prepared for a cliffhanger that will leave you desperate for the next chapter in Holden and Rowan's story.

Highly recommended!

Story: 4⭐
Spice: 3🌶️
Narration: 4.5 ⭐

This is a dual narration that is really well done. I enjoyed the male narrator as he's ability to portray the emotional state of Holden (MMC) was amazing.

This is a book of revenge, spice (Strickly just sex, until it's not), misogynistic families, and a powerful FMC. Wait until you read the server scene.

Also, hated the ending. LoL ends on a cliff hanger but not the kind that's good, the kind that makes you say "seriously, that's where you decided to stop".

BE WARNED THIS IS BOOK 1 and ends on a cliffhanger in the best worst way and you’re going to want to throw the book across a room then pick it back up to beg for forgiveness but then maybe throw it again and cry in a corner because now you have to wait in agony until book 2.
Or maybe that’s just me.
Anyways, thanks Macmillan Audio, NetGalley and K Bromberg for ruining my night in the best way. I’ll just be over here sulking until the next book is written.

Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg is the first book in the Tangled Hearts Series. This is Rowan and Holden‘s story.

Rowan is seen as the pretty face in her family and her role is just in finding a husband. But she actually is very intelligent and wants to improve her family’s business. Rowan is the type of heroine who I love, and she is strong, determined and kind. Her family infuriated me so much and I totally bonded with her through that even more.

Holden grew up poor and he made the best of his life and became a successful and self-made man. He doesn’t accept being mediocre and a lot of people underestimate him, but he always has a joker and a plan. And that’s how he comes into Rowan’s family business, and he wants to get his revenge in taking over and disrupting the family. Holden was so charming in his job and especially in private and I fell in love with him alongside Rowan.

I absolutely love K. Bromberg‘s books and this one is no exception. It’s the perfect workplace enemies-to-lovers romance and Rowan and Holden‘s banter and chemistry was through the roof. I loved how they started working together and their romance is just explosive and the perfect mixture of steam and angst. I listened to the audiobook and Victoria Connolly and Patrick Zeller did such an amazing job in bringing this story to life and I couldn’t put it down. And it’s only the beginning and I’m dying to continue with this series.

Overall, Twisted Knight is a new favorite book and the perfect start to Rowan and Holden‘s story. 5 stars.

Twisted Knight: Tangled Hearts #1
K. Bromberg

Rhett was the golden child. The Rothschild family protected him. He was a “privileged” spoiled brat. The family placed him at the head of their company even though he was a cheat and a thief. Rowan Rothschild was smart and beautiful. She was everything her brother Rhett was not. She should have been the head of the company. Her family expected her to marry, Chad, a childhood friend. They wanted her to chair country club committees, to be domestic. Rowan was tired of living in her brother’s shadow. She had a plan to take over the company.
Holden Knight wants revenge for things that happened in the past. He plans to purchase the Rothschild company and destroy it. Holden grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. He worked at the country club patronized by Rhett and Chad; they went out of their way to make his life miserable.
Rowan didn’t like Holden when they first met; he liked the way she put him in his place. He sees her potential. They do not trust each other and yet see how they can use each other. They are attracted to each other and begin a physical relationship.
Rowan is a strong female lead. Holden is strong and yet unsure; does it want to be a bad guy or a good guy. Will he break Rowan’s heart? Rowan coward to her family but she could stand up to Holden.
While Holden’s childhood was poverty stricken as an adult, he was a multimillionaire and maybe even a billionaire.
The language in this book is vulgar. The F word was used over and over. I thought Holden and Rowan loved each other but I’m not so sure now. The ending to this book is both shocking and disappointing. I want to know more! The ending is a cliffhanger. Author K. Bromberg is talented. I eagerly listened to Twisted Knight. I stayed up late savoring every minute.

Thank you NetGalley for the review copy.

This was an excellent listen and read. The narrators were perfect their roles and did a great job with their performances. I loved the forbidden enemies to lovers elements of this romance. I also loved the family drama and it kept me hooked from the very beginning. The spice was HOT and I enjoyed every second of it. That end though......gimme book two now!

I love K. Bromberg, so when I was chosen to review this ALC I was super excited. Billionaires. Revenge. Coworker drama. Enemies to lovers. What more does a girl need?!

First things first, the narration is spectacular. The dual narrators KILLED IT!

Second, this is the first in a series and there is a serious cliffhanger. If that's not your thing, avoid this one until the next book comes out!

Third, the tension between Rowan and Holden was off the charts. I love K's writing style, especially when it comes to character development and this book didn't disappoint.

A quick paced, highly entertaining billionaire romance with hate to love vibes, workplace drama and a side revenge plot. I LOVED listening to this one as the narrators did such a great job depicting all of the angst and tension, especially with the powerful WTF ending.

Read if you like:
-Secret relationships
-Enemies to lovers
-Revenge
-Workplace romance
-Family drama

Bruh, I knew that cliff hanger was coming but I still wasn't ready 😩😩😩

Rowan is a smart, sassy, savvy business woman from wealthy family who is constantly being overlooked for meaningful jobs at her family's spirits company simply because she's a woman.

Holden is a broody self made billionaire who is looking for revenge on the people responsible for his traumatic past. Those people just so happen to be Rowan's closest family and friends.

This is spicy, funny, sweet, infuriating. I felt all the things while reading this book. Now someone wake me up when book 2 is out.

Shout-out to my homies at Netgally and the publisher for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review

Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg
Rating: 3 stars

Thank you so much to Macmillan Audio for my complimentary audiobook! #macaudio2024

Rowan Rothschild, the heiress to her family’s alcohol business, wants to restore it to its former glory, but things get messy when Holden Knight, a tech millionaire with a hidden agenda, steps in to take over.

This one is full of high-society drama and workplace romance, two things I love in a book like this, but unfortunately, this one didn't hit the mark for me.

First, this is the first book in a series that ends on a cliffhanger with no HEA in sight. I assumed that going in, but the pacing made me question once or twice if there was actually going to be a second book.

There’s plenty of tension between Rowan and Holden, and the slow-burn romance builds, but Rowan’s attitude made it hard to connect with her. Holden is the more interesting of the two. His motives are mysterious, and he’s got this cool, calculated vibe that draws you in. Meanwhile, Rowan feels more entitled than empowered, and her constant outbursts at work are frustrating. Her aggressive behavior towards Holden, who’s made a legit business deal, felt over the top. I wanted more character development and less repetitiveness.

The audiobook performances were so good—Patrick Zeller nailed Holden’s character. Unfortunately, even great narration couldn’t change my mind about this one.

Definitely don’t take my word for it. If you’re into billionaire romance and are thinking of picking this one up, you should give it a chance!

K. Bromberg has done it again! She's written a story that I can’t stop thinking about. Holden and Rowen are such an unexpected couple. Holden is set on taking over Rowen’s family company, and she’s not happy about it at all—especially since she has her own plans to save it, but her jerk of a brother has different ideas.

Holden might seem like a hardass, but his motives for wanting control of the company are deeper than anyone knows. And just when I thought I had it all figured out, K Bromberg hit me with a cliffhanger that totally caught me off guard!

Now, I’m just waiting for the second book.

I listened to the Audible version, and the narrators did a fantastic job bringing Holden and Rowen to life. The spice level in this book is pretty high, so if you’re listening in the car... maybe check who's around first! lol

I listened to the audio version of this book in dual narration by Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connelly. Their narration were great and perfect for this story. The voices were pleasant to listen to and easily discernible.

This is the first book in the Tangled Hearts series, and it does not have a conclusion. Guess I'll be looking for the second. It is an office romance with some power issues thrown in. Rowan's family has owned their business for decades and Holden is swooping in to buy a majority part of it. Somebody forgot to tell the two not to miss business and pleasure, but that makes it better for readers. The steam is really hot. There is also a part about Holden's past that really adds to the story.

The book is fairly long and then there is no conclusion. The reader is left hanging. If that's not your thing, move on.

Thanks to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the audio copy. All thoughts are my own.

Wowza! This book follows Holden who despite being wealthy hates those around him and is seeking revenge and Rowan who is old money wealthy but finding herself constantly silenced.

This book is definitely the start of a solid series and I am excited to see where it goes. It was a little bit of a slow starter for me because I needed something to get me hooked and the way their relationship develops was what got me there. Then once I was hooked I found myself not ready to have the book end. And that spice was a 10 out of 10!

That ending ... How could they do that to us? I will definitely be picking the next up in the series.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this series.

First things first: THIS IS NOT A STANDALONE! This is important because it ends on a cliffhanger so if you go into this one expecting everything to be all wrapped up with a bow at the end you are going to be surprised when it is not.

Okay now, I listened to an ALC from MacMillan Audio (thank you all so much!!) narrated by Victoria Connolly and Patrick Zeller who do an AMAZING job. I love when audios have dual narration because it makes it easier to picture the characters in my head and feel more connected with their stories. This is my first book by K. Bromberg but will definitely not be my last! I was invested in Rowan and Holden's story and I liked that there's some mystery and darkness in this book but still has romance and lots of steam. This is an enemies to lovers, forbidden romance, revenge plot between the daughter of a wealthy family and the very wealthy and mysterious man who is taking over her family's company. Since he's become her boss now it's also a workplace romance(; Rowan Rothschild is the black sheep of her wealthy family; she's strong, intelligent, and fully capable of running the family business that she's worked so hard for but since she's a woman, her family and the rest of the town expect her to get married and settle down into a domestic role she has no interest in while her brother gets everything she dreams of and he doesn't deserve. Holden Knight is a mysterious self made billionaire intent on taking down her family's business from the inside and Rowan's brother has handed him the keys to their downfall without even realizing it.

The chemistry between Rowan and Knight is off the charts and you know they're inevitable despite all the reasons Rowan should run long and far in the opposite direction. I enjoyed how their relationship develops and the pace of the story. As secrets come to light, we see why Knight acts the way he does and why he hates Rowan's family so much. And honestly she should hate them too but is very loyal to them throughout despite how misplaced that loyalty is. The banter is great and there are many steamy scenes and moments of tension that will have you anxiously waiting to see what's gonna happen next. I look forward to seeing where this series goes and hope to continue with the audio version because the narrators are fantastic and I felt like I could listen to them for hours straight. They perfectly fit the characters and are clear and easy to listen to.

This is a quick, drama filled, spicy, tense romance coming out on September 24, so if it sounds like something you're into definitely check it out! I definitely recommend the audio to any audio fans out there.

This audiobook is really good but man is it extra spicy with open door action. The story is perfectly crafted with revenge, lust, deceit, and falling for each other . Holden buys a family company and plans to destroy the elder brother and the company but falls for Rowan, the little sister. It is going to be a brutal wait for book #2!

🎧 Book Review 🎧 This book was juicy!!! I was too young for Dynasty but I did watch some of the reboot and this one gave me all the complex familial vibes but with so much more depth. While Rhett may be the shiny golden trophy boy of the Rothschild family, Rowan is the true brains and heart of the family. Reeling from the loss of the matriarch, and with the risk of losing the family business, a new face in town, Holden Knight swoops in to take over Tin Spirits. Revenge may be best served cold but K. Bromberg writes one hot story, filled with so many twists and turns beautifully read by Victoria Connolly and Patrick Zeller that will absolutely keep you listening for more.

I’ve read every book by this author and it is by far her best book. Rowan is a strong female lead whose family takes her for granted. Holden is a powerful man with revenge on his mind. Of course, being strong willed they clash a lot. Angst, intrigue, romance and a WTH cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next book in the series. Audio was provided by Netgalley for a honest review.

NOT AN ENDING WITH A TWISTY CLIFFHANGER!!!!
😩😩😩😩

While I’m not the biggest fan of billionaire romances, I do love a revenge love story. What I don’t love? Cliffhangers!! Ugh. Even though I knew this was the first in a new series, I wasn’t expecting the ending to be so… twisty, surprising, and unresolved.

That being said, I liked the MMC and his revenge plan for justice for his family. I also liked that there was a good amount of spice from the start. Spice was 3-3.5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Honestly can’t wait for the second book because I’m invested now!!

(Thank you, Tor Publishing Group, Macmillan Audio, and NetGalley, for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.)
