Such a Twisted ride! I was definitely not ready for the cliff hanger even though I should have seen it coming.
This was full of enemies to lovers, interesting banter, and a lot of rooting for out FMC!

Twisted Knight is a wild ride. Holden and Rowan are both strong characters. I especially loved Holden – his back story is equal parts crushing and uplifting. There is a lot going on with these two. The push and pull is brought to life by the excellent character development and the spot on narration. I suggest you go in blind and enjoy the ride. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Holden and Rowan.

ICK.
Honestly, I thought this would be a hit with the way it started. I was hooked and enjoying the back and forth between Rowan and Holden. But then they get together and it was so icky and cliche and I wasn’t here for it. Also, this ends on a cliffhanger which is not at all apparent to the reader…until the end of the book. I hate when cliffhangers aren’t disclosed.
Content: cringey open door. Yuck.
Thank you to Macmillan Audio for a gifted copy. My thoughts are my own.

Twisted Knight is the first book in the Tangled Hearts series by K. Bromberg.
“King of Sin meets Things We Left Behind.”
Tropes: enemies to lovers, billionaire, workplace romance
We have all heard “Never judge a book by its cover.” This is true of Twisted Knight. The cover makes it seem like the book is a fantasy book, but it is definitely a romance book.
Rowan is the daughter of a wealthy family who wants to run the family business. No one sees her though. They all see her brother instead.
Holden has one thing on his mind…revenge. He wants revenge for what Rowan’s family did to his family. His plan is to take over Rowan's family’s business.
The banter between Rowan and Holden is everything. Holden is able to see Rowan and everything she’s worth. I love their relationship.
K. Bromberg did a fantastic job and left me wanting more.
The narrator did a phenomenal job and kept me interested in the book.

Wow loved this one and just found out it is not a stand alone. Another new author for me and wow I am so excited I got to listen to this one on audio. A billionaire romance - I super enjoyed. Meet Rowan - daughter of a wealthy family - she's tough and very relatable to me (not the billionaire part though, I wish) and then meet Holden - who's mysterious and out to be her #1 enemy. The chemistry and banter were awesome. Lots of steaminess but the romance felt right. The ending was stressful in a good way, we will now have to wait for book 2.
Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillian Audio for this advanced audio in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.25 Stars
The book cover might make it seem like a fantasy, but it's really a contemporary billionaire romance. If you're a fan of this genre, you'll likely find this novel enjoyable. It features a steamy romance with an alpha male character who has a tragic backstory. However, the plot is somewhat predictable and the romance feels rushed.
Overall, an average read for me.
***Thank you to NetGalley, K. Bromberg, and Macmillan Audio for graciously sending me the audiobook to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.***

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story. The dual narrators did a good job. There was plenty of drama and steamy times. I wasn’t expecting Cliff hanger. So I hour that the next book is out soon.

Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and MacMillan Audio for this ALC!
I enjoyed the overall story, it kept me interested and was an easy read. Not my favorite by this author, but still enjoyable. Although, I do wish there was more information about the business aspect, instead of glossing over details. I would have loved to see the FMC really taking charge instead of just hearing from a third party that they’re impressed with her performance.
I am sad that this is not a standalone and therefore an unresolved ending. Still a lot of unanswered questions, and ended on a conflict. Hopefully the next book will be out shortly!

I wanted to like this book more but the FMC annoyed me a little. She wanted to be this badass independent girl but it was mostly talk. I also felt the chemistry was a little forced.
I did end up getting hooked up and I need book 2 because of the cliffhanger.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
*Twisted Knight* by K. Bromberg is an absolute must-listen! Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connolly were the perfect choices for Holden and Rowan. Their chemistry was undeniable, and they brought these complex, gritty characters to life in a way that made every scene feel incredibly real. Zeller's portrayal of Holden was powerful and raw, while Connolly captured Rowan's strength and vulnerability with such grace.
The story itself had me hooked from the first chapter, with a mix of suspense, passion, and deep emotions. The cliffhanger at the end? Completely unexpected and left me desperate for more! I’m already counting down the days until the next book is released. Bromberg has delivered another unforgettable romance that you won't want to miss. Highly recommended!

This was definitely a fun read with a lot of tension between Holden and Rowan. There’s familial betrayal, a sense of duty to prove oneself worthy of inheritance, and an almost forbidden romance between rivals. Highly anticipating a sequel after that ending!

Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg is the first book I've read by the author so I went into this one not knowing what to expect. From the cover and title, I expected some romantasy or something dark but it was actually just a contemporary romance. So definitely don't judge this book by the cover or title. I liked how much of a plot outside of the romance this one had. It felt like a fuller, more realistic story. The plot did feel slow when it was filled with talk about business but it was still engaging and entertaining. I'm not sure if I really liked the characters much but I did love the passion and spice the relationship had. The audiobook was really enjoyable. Patrick Zeller was very theatric and emotional in his role. And I loved the way Victoria Connolly portrayed Rowan's emotions. I recommend this one for fans of billionaire romance, family drama, and workplace romance.
Thank you to the publishers and netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Book Review: Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 | 🔥🔥🔥/5 Spice
Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg blew me away as the first book in her Tangled Hearts series. This enemies-to-lovers, billionaire romance had everything I love in a steamy, tension-filled story. Holden Knight, the mysterious and driven MMC, steps in as the CEO of Rowan’s family business with one goal—revenge. But Rowan Rothschild, our smart and ambitious FMC, isn't about to let him walk all over her, especially since her family doesn't appreciate her value.
Their chemistry sparks right from the beginning, and the banter between them was chef’s kiss. Despite their clashing goals, Holden and Rowan can’t resist each other, and their romance is a fiery mix of passion and power struggles. I loved how Rowan wasn’t a pushover—she’s strong, capable, and holds her own in and out of the boardroom, especially during the steamy scenes.
The audiobook narration added so much depth to the characters and the tension, and I highly recommend it for a fully immersive experience. And the cliffhanger? Let’s just say I’m eagerly awaiting book two! K. Bromberg has officially become an auto-buy author for me.

Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC!

Twisted Knight is an enemies to lovers, office romance that was simply delicious! I loved Rowan! She was smart and driven. She knew her brother was a moron and the fact that she didn't just slap her mother is a true testament to her good character. Her mom was so annoying. I did kind of wish Rowan wouldn't always take the high road and let the family walk all over her though. This is certainly an "enemies to lovers" vibe since Holden wants revenge on Rowan's family, but he figures out quickly she is not like them. But, I loved his story-his reason for wanting revenge was righteous for sure and you just had to love him! The push/pull between Rowan and Holden kept me engaged despite hating her family so much I didn't think I could take any more.
I also listened to this and the audio is GREAT! Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connelly were new to me, but I enjoyed both of their performances.

This is the first book in the 𝘛𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, and must be read in order. I devoured this! I finished this in one listen I was so hooked.
I love that this is told in dual timelines and we slowly get the background information, it really added to the suspense. I love Holden, behind his tough exterior is a soft heart. I can understand why he is the way his is with everything he’s been through. I really adore Rowan, she fights for what she wants, even if she’s fighting alone. I need the next one, that cliffhanger 🤯

There is just something I love about a good revenge plot, and the one in this book is a new favorite of mine. This story was so captivating and fast-paced. Rowan and Holden are both such complex characters, and I really enjoyed getting to know them. Through flashbacks we learn how Holden came to know Rowan’s family years prior, and why he is set on destroying them (he has good reasons). This one will make you laugh, cry, and want to find your own Holden.
If K. Bromberg writes it, I’m going to read it. I absolutely love her style, and the worlds and dynamics that she creates. I was NOT expecting that cliffhanger though! Book two can’t come soon enough!! I need to know what happens between Rowan, Holden, and this family business 🫣
I listened to the audiobook and the narration by Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connolly was perfect! They really brought the emotion out for the characters and made it all that much better.
Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for this ALC!

Always an absolute fave author of mine writing just another phenomenal story that I just couldn't put down! I just ate this one up and instantly wanted to re-read the second I was finished. Everything I need and want from start to finish.

4.5 stars! This is an engrossing mafia/billionaire romance with undercurrents of vengeance, lot of juicy tension, and a jaw dropping cliffhanger ending.
From the get go, before they even actually know who they are to each other, Holden and Rowen have an electric chemistry between them. Rowen is the daughter in a wealthy family, considered less than because of her gender, second to her brother - who truly is less than, but is handed everything on a golden platter. She has worked hard for her role in the family business, and dreams of somehow overcoming the patriarchal structure and being able to run the business herself - something her brother currently does, and does badly. Enter Holden Knight, poised to essentially take over her beloved family business via a less than ideal acquisition her brother has worked out, Rowan is enraged and vows to do whatever she can to stop the deal from happening. Unfortunately, the more time she spends with the charming, gorgeous, and mysterious Holden, the more she likes him, and the more she finds herself wanting other things from him.
The players in this story are absolutely fascinating. I still couldn’t tell you completely who I would trust or who is completely shady (though it seems the latter is a bit easier, it’s still a bit cloudy). The political machinations of the wealthy families, and the secrets and secondary motivations are everywhere. Pressure from parents to marry their children and create alliances, and just a suffocating patriarchal overlay to everything. And then you have Holden, who is clearly out for vengeance, but then gets completely distracted by Rowan and his unexpected reaction to her, and ultimately his growing feelings and attraction to her. This is one of those stories where the dual POV is fantastic, as I loved his inner dialogue when it comes to her, not to mention hers regarding him. Their back and forth is so interesting. And when they give in to their attraction…..wooo boy! Fireworks. I would say this is a medium burn, with a decent amount of spice around a three out of five), as it starts with a little h@te sëx and evolves into something much more intense and intimate for both of them. The culmination and cliffhanger of this book, the first in a series, was a bit shocking, and makes me think there is definitely something we’re missing - I can’t wait to see what comes next.
I listened to the audiobook for this book, and I believe this is the first time I’ve heard either of these narrators. They both do a fantastic job, but I especially feel the need to call out Patrick Zeller, as I was completely blown away by the level of emotion he brought to his performance. I have listened to a LOT of audiobooks, with some top notch narrators, and I would easily put him in that list of top narrators. Especially when it comes to the spicy scenes, he had this delivery that just had me absolutely in a puddle on the floor, blown away by the intensity and emotion he delivered, how absolutely genuine it all felt. I 100% recommend this audiobook if you’re someone who enjoyed reading in that format.

3.75⭐ This was an entertaining listen! I think this is a right book wrong time situation - but I couldn't connect with the characters. It does end on a cliffhanger thought & I will be reading book 2. Posted on GR and storygraph

Thank you Macmillan Audio for the ALC!
This was my first book by Bromberg but I’ve heard great things about her other books so I was looking forward to this one. There was a lot of potential and the premise of the story grabbed my attention. Unfortunately that’s all the worked for me. The characters weren’t very likable and I didn’t love the narration either. I’m bummed this was a miss for me.
