Everything Bob Goff writes is gold and no one can convince me otherwise. No notes. I loved reading through this.

A delightful 365 day devotional that promotes positivity daily. Bob Goff is a wonderful craftsman developing daily readings that include scripture, stories and insightful prompts to add positive thoughts to your day. God love you, unconditionally with a love beyond what you imagine. The author encourages the reader to greet each day with wonder and expectant positivity. You can't catch whimsy unless you are running after it.
It is one of the most uplifting , delightful and unusual devotionals. I caught myself reading ahead because the stories are so engaging!

I am a huge Bob Goff fan and own every book that he has published, even his wife's book. That being said I had a high expectation for this book as I love the others so much and it did not disappoint. Bob Goff has the gift of blending theological principals and thoughts with fun and whimsy. Anyone who reads this book is lucky to spend 365 days with Bob as they work to catch the whimsy in their life. I give this book 5 stars!!

As soon as I heard the title of Goff’s new book, I was hooked. It’s such a beautiful reminder that embracing God’s wisdom can—and should—be a joyful experience. With all the pain and hurt in the world, leaning into the happy, meaningful moments feels like such a gift.

This devotional is perfect for fitting little bits of scripture and reflection into your daily routine. Goff’s signature style shines through—his stories are simple, relatable, and so easy to connect with. He challenges us to live a full life rooted in love, and honestly, it’s such an encouraging read.

I don’t have to finish this book to review, this book is a yearlong whimsical devotional. They have Bobs sense of humor and are a great way to start your day.

This is a great devotional book from Bob Goff. 365 readings full of interesting points. All pointing towards the goodness of God and the reality and joy of following Christ. A great resource to start off your day in the right way.

As soon as I heard the title of Bob Goff’s latest book “Catching Whimsy”, I knew that I would like it. First, I am a fan of Goff’s other books, and second, I know that I need to embrace the possibilities that life holds.
The scripture readings, stories, and prayers that Goff crafts for each day make it easy to read and informative. As with Goff’s other books, “Catching Whimsy” is full of passages to highlight and flag for future reference.

Catching Whimsy 365 Days of Possibility by Bob Goff is an inspirational way to look at your life without having religion forced down your throat. Bob Goff is such an incredibly talented writer and Catching Whimsy, his newest release, is no exception. This is such a great daily devotional that brings together his "fun to read" writing style along with a breakdown of a specific bible verse to ponder as the day goes on. I love that he keeps the verse to 1 per day to keep it manageable and for me it helped to implement the teaching easier throughout the day with less dense daily scripture teachings. He provides such practical advice and a great strategies to implement the teachings - highly recommend!

There's a scripture for every day, otherwise this is not your typical devotional! We're encouraged to take action and given practical ways to feel as if we're making a difference!

This beautiful devotional fully captures the joy that can be found with the Lord. So often, people make their faith serious and kind of heavy. This is lighter and allows one to fully embrace the joy and light one can find in their faith walk. I loved the stories and tidbits of wisdom from the author. This was a lovely devotional.

I’m a huge fan of Bob Goff. His life philosophy and faith are so genuine. Catching Whimsy encapsulates all that is wonderful about Bob. Can’t wait to use as my devotional for 2025.

I enjoy reading Bob Goff's books. When I saw Catching Whimsy on Net Galley, I immediately requested to read it.

Each day's devotional starts with a Bible verse, followed by a story from Goff's personal experiences that relates to that verse. Some days, there are questions for you to ponder. One thing each day has in common is that Goff gives you much to ponder.

"Sometimes you need to cut loose what isn't working and start over."
One of the things I love about this devotional is that Goff's personality shines through. He is down-to-earth and relatable. He is also a bit eccentric, which adds bits of humor throughout the devotionals. I think he would be a neat person to meet. I appreciate him sharing his wisdom and stories with us while pointing us toward God every step of the way.

Bob Goff is a magician when it comes to changing the way we view the world and the people in it. The title of this book is the perfect example of his skills. Every day of this 365-day challenge takes us on an adventure of what we can become and how we can adjust our vision to see others and ourselves the way God sees us - as incredible creations made in His image. The introduction to the book sets the tone, "we can't catch what we don't chase". If we are going to change our lives, we have to be intentional about it and Catching Whimsy gives us the roadmap to do that. Change can be daunting, but this book gives us the tools to achieve true change. Each day Bob engages the reader by painting a picture that is universally relatable and ending with a practical question or challenging thought that can be easily applied. The daily, dated readings begin with a memorable title and thought, acting as banks to a river that guide the reader gently without imposing rigid opinions, allowing us to navigate the waters of self-refinement and reflection.
