I received an ARC for #WheresGobiSeekandFind from #NetGalley
This is one interesting book for kids all age, mostly who's keen on following ultra marathon. The story of a man who found a dog while on race in Gobi desert, and adopted him to be a member of his family, and now brought us to travels the world with him, his wife, their cat and dog. The interactive book is not only telling you stories about some famous cities, but also make you search and find some items, so much fun!
Such a fun and interactive book! I loved that the author brought a kind of "freshness" to the realm of seek-and-find books by adding blurbs about Gobi and fun facts about places around the world on each page spread. Additionally, the author and illustrator included numerous objects to find in each city, which will no doubt keep kids entertained for a long while. Lastly, I loved how detailed the illustrations were! This is especially important for this kind of book.
Bravo!
Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own.
Very enjoyable with a good amount of difficulty for the age range. The stories that go along with each page as well as the little bits of trivia are a nice addition.
This is a simple, fun storyline geared for young children with fun objects to seek and find on each page of Gobi’s adventure. I think a fairly young child could be mostly successful within a reasonable time at the seek and find part of the book. The illustrations are quite cute. Following a cute dog through these many travel destinations is compelling for children, so I think it would draw a child into the book well. Overall, it is a sweet little seek and find story.
An adorable story about Gobi, the little dog who raced across the desert with her new owner, Dion. Travel the world with Gobi, while learning fun facts about each country she visits! A list of items to find, including Gobi, are included with each country. Makes learning about geography interesting and fun!
This is a really fun seek and find book for kids that teaches them about cultures in major cities around the world. I like that each spread has objects at a variety of difficulty levels because it keeps kids of various ages/abilities entertained. Early readers will not be able to read the text on their own, but they can find the "on every page" set of objects on their own. The only thing I didn't like about the book was that the list of items to find did not come with a picture. Some children may not know what some of the flags or animals look like, which makes it really challenging to find them.
I was given access to an early copy of the book in exchange for my honest review, and my honest opinion is that this is a fun seek and find book.
A classic seek and find with wonderful illustrations and the added bonus of a cute story with lots of education. Gobo and his husband friends go on a wonderful adventure. I have this to my girls during a car trip and I would read the passages and they'd then do the seek and find. My 6 yo did very well and my 3yo found a few challenging.
It's such a fun little book for the whole family! Travel around the world and find Gobi and other objects/things along the way. This brought back Where's Waldo memories for me, but my kids loved that this was a dog and yet got to see different areas around the world!
If you or your children love look and find types of books, be sure to grab this adorable adventure!
Thanks, Netgalley, for the ARC in exchange for our honest opinion.
Gobi is a loveable little dog that walks you through many facts as you try to find him on his adventures! My daughter and I had a great time with this "hide and seek" style book and even more fun learning all of the facts about China, specifically!
As an EFL teacher this is awesome to use with kids a little older than the usual target audience. I love how I can combine information about places in the English speaking world with fun vocabulary activities! The illustrations are beautiful and the story about a dog traveling the world will be really engaging for them!
Absolutely perfect for language teachers, but also great for parents and their kids.
Very fun and interactive activity book for you and your little ones. I enjoyed the where’s Waldo aspect of the book. Read this one with my toddler and had her search for Gobi. Very cute I do recommend!
I loved following Gobi in the first book so we were excited to see another Gobi book! My son loves Gobi (he's 7) and started reading a couple of years ago when the author visited his school. Adding a Seek and Find is a perfect addition to the Gobi collection.
Such a fun activity book!
Let’s tour the world’s best places and play spotting games as we read along!
The information on the best places and things most relevant to these places are easy to get to.
Perfect to get the kids engaged with a book for a while! The illustrations are amazing!
Thank you, Tommy Nelson, for the ARC.
