I admit I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I asked for this book, but it sounded so charming I decided to step away from my usual safe area of Fantasy and YA, and take a plunge.

And the author is indeed very charming as is his writing. Don't expect a biography, though, as this is a lot more like a "how to" guide for someone who practices "magick" as their religion of sorts. And if this is what you were after, then you very likely will enjoy this book. It's endearing and it contains quite a lot of "how-to" - it will give you a very good start if you wish to become a magician yourself.

Homemade Magick is a great book filled with information about how the author developed his magic and how you can use these same ideas to develop your own. Everyone has a little magic in them if we only wish to explore it more. This book is a great help for that. I personally enjoy reading books on religions and learning about past and present beliefs in these religions and this was a book I truly enjoyed. Great for anyone wishing to learn more or learn singular magic for themselves.
