a 101 on rediscovering joy and yourself and your body. I really like this author's writing style and her illustrations really make for a beautiful story
I have been Florence online for years, and have been fascinated with the utter love and beauty in the way she sees the world. This book was the perfect excuse to take a look inside her mind. This book isn't necessarily something to sit down and binge in a day. It's a book to be savored, to be read day by day, truly taking in what Florence is says. Hoping to drink in some of the magic behind Flo's beautiful outlook on life. This is the book women need to be reading if they are feeling stuck in their 20's. And as a women feeling just that, I have fallen in love with this book.
“Loving ourselves isn't a goal, but an intention, a direction, a slow and sustainable lifelong commitment. It needs to be a process and not an accomplishment.”
Not only are Florences words beautiful, but so are her illustrations. Women everywhere, please give this book a read, you won't regret it.
This book is definitely a self-help geared towards women; prior to reading it, I honestly thought it would be a chapter book, with each chapter highlighting a lesson, and a few personal stories scattered around, instead, it provided actionable steps towards change, which I believe is great, but I would have enjoyed learning about how others had applied these steps to their lives, as well as how they may have modified the author's original steps to suit their situation. Overall, a good book that could have been a bit stronger.
Thank you NetGalley for this Arc! This is a self help book and not what I thought it was but I have been enjoying it so far.
I’ve loved Florence Given for years — she has this joyful tenacity and confidence that is so contagious. I’ve been looking forward to this book since she announced it, and it did not disappoint!! This book puts together everything she expressed online in her videos into one source — covering body confidence, finding joy, setting boundaries, saying no, loving yourself, and more.

Women Living Deliciously feels like a culmination of everything you could ever need to live your most vibrant life. It takes all the key elements of other self-help books and applies it to womanhood, and puts it into actionable steps to help create change. There are things I’ve been stuck on for years that finally made sense with the way Florence explained it. Moreover though, I felt inspired to actually make change, because it felt like a friend telling you what you needed to hear. It’s compassionate, expressive, and passionate. This is a book I believe every woman should read, especially women in their 20s and 30s. I can’t wait to get a physical copy when it releases to keep on my shelf and read over and over again. Florence really makes you want to live a delicious life.
“Audacity is contagious and I hope some of mine rubs off on you.” — Florence Given, Women Living Deliciously
LOVED THIS. Such beautiful thoughts. Very inspiring. The art was so fun and I took so many notes on quotes and ideas that I want to hold onto
This book wasn’t particularly groundbreaking but it was still an interesting book to pick up. It wasn’t one to sit down and read all the way through, but rather read in pieces. Even if some of the concepts weren’t new to me I think there were still plenty of good reminders. I do think this book would be especially helpful for and appealing to women in their teens and early twenties.
This book is unapologetic, vibrant and a useful reminder that women should never be afraid to take up space and pursue their own happiness.
The tone is very direct and the messages as important as ever.
I must admit that this genre of book falls wildly out of my wheelhouse but there was just something about the vibrant cover and hedonistic title that drew me in. I am happy to report that Women Living Deliciously was an absolute delight! It subverted many of the troupes I dislike in similar text and just unapologetically wove a narrative that feels true to being a woman in modern times! While most of the text wasn't life altering it did serve as a gentle reminder that we can be, do and, live in ways that feel authentic to us, without permission or restriction from others.
What a fantastic book that celebrates women and the space we take up. It's authentic and well written. I can't wait to gift it to friends this holiday season. The messages are the ones we need to be reading. Well done, Given! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
