This was a great book. I really enjoyed this story.

Ceyshell realized her mistake after Mirendar left in search of her sister, she knew she had pushed him into the arms of another. Seashell, Mirendar, Simi, and Lovo friends are once again sent on another adventure, only this time, the price is too much. Their world and loved ones were in mortal danger, and something was different about Ceyshell. Deceit and betrayal followed their every step. It was a race to save their world and their loved ones. Ceyshell felt defeated after turning her back on Mirendar her boyfriend, she paid the ultimate price. To be told he no longer loves her, was a crushing blow for her. She was determined to recapture that elusive love, but first, they must survive the latest treachery and deadly adventure. The ultimate adventure, that was electrifying, intriguing, and gasping.

Second installment continues from first - non stop action, intrigue, betrayals and secrets, and an overload of emotions as this epic journey continues. Complex world building and love with no spice. And yes, ends on a cliff ... more to come

The timeline in this story was easier to follow than the one in the previous volume.
However, the characters really started to get on my nerves. I feel like something they do things or change their characters for no reason. Ceychell suddenly is murderous since she was chosen as chieftan instead of being a nice and compassionate one (I know she was kind of a loner and didn't really want people to disturb her and sometimes she didn't even what to help, but from that to straight up violent and very temperamental is a long way). The relationship between her and the other mage was changing a lot, which made me question how Ceychell's perceives other people and how sane she actually is. Speaking of relationships, why is everybody obsessed with Miraden? Sure, she did some great things, but he can still make mistakes and to be honest, it feels a bit unhealthy anyway. Another thing that really got on my nerves about some characters was that they were very stubborn and filled with blind loyalty that they refused to even consider that what they know might be lies.
The adventure part was okay, it was interesting and many things happened in a lot of places. It was easier for me to get through this book compared to the first one.
In conclusion, while some aspects were better, some were worse, so this book is, for me, a 3.5/5 stars just like the first one.
