It was fun seeing what Zarya and the others were getting up to. However, i was expecting to see a bit more adventure after the day the last book ended. Looking forward to the final one and to finally see if Zaryas father is the big bad or if how Rabin knows him is the truth.

This was a phenomenal third book in the Nightfire Quartet series!

Zarya displayed amazing character growth throughout this book. Her perseverance to find a magical key to the chains the vanshaj were locked with, along with her bravery in facing the many dangers coming at them regularly, had me feeling such pride for how far she had come.

I don't know if it was Rabin's unfaultering love for Zee that melted me, or his deliciously filthy mouth, but I loved any and all scenes with him in them. He is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

I loved all the side characters in this book, especially Yasen and you-know-who. Their friendship was everything, and I'm definitely hoping for more of these new side characters in the final installment.

I am so excited to read the fourth book in this quartet. Everything is set up for an epic finale and I can't wait to see how it all ends!

This is the third book in The Nightfire Quartet and I think my favorite in the series so far!
I absolutely love @nishajtwrites writing style and humor. Even the glossary in the beginning is hilarious.

In this one our FMC Zarya grows more and more into herself, learns about her powers and works towards a higher goal with the rebellion. Her character growth is amazing!

Of course we also get delicious scenes with one of our favorite dragon shifter MMCs. And yes, after the events in the second book, he has to work for it ๐ŸงŽand I just love how obsessed he is with Zarya ๐Ÿ–ค

The friendship between Zarya and Yasen continues to be one of my absolute favorites! I would gladly read a book just about the two of them.

So if youโ€™re into vivid romantasy adventures with an obsessive dragon shifter and ride or ๐Ÿ’€friendships, I highly recommend this series!

Thank you Second Sky Books and NetGalley for the gifted review copy!

This had a very different feel to the previous two books as Zarya has travelled to the country where her half siblings rule. As this begins not only is she devastated by Rabins betrayal but she's horrified by the treatment of those who are vilified and treated as little more than slaves. Zarya is still coming to terms with her powerful Nightfire and the fact that she has a sixth ability which everyone has been taught is evil. A prophecy has brought Zarya this far and now she finds herself helping the resistance and yet Rabin is never far from her thoughts and of course that stubborn male tracks her down but can Zarya ever really trust him ?
This for me started a little slow but boy did it find its feet once Zarya embraced all that she could be. Whilst she has always been written as a gung ho strong female I much preferred the second half when Rabin pushed her to take chances. This is a tale of a quiet revolution and truthfully the revelations along the way are truly heinous. Yet there's hope here, joy and emotions too. It perhaps doesn't have the ending we hoped for but boy does it open up possibilities as Zarya is ready to face the truth of who she really is and the final book will be unmissable.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

Nisha does it again!!! I love everything about this series, and each new thing we uncover about Zarya and the world around her only makes me love it more. After that ending, Iโ€™m SALIVATING for book four.

The slow burn to the SPICE was absolutely delicious. Iโ€™m obsessed as always with Rabin and how down bad he is for Zarya even when she hates him lol.

This world Nisha has created is so lush and vibrant, and I loved every second of these pages.

5/5 stars
2/5 spice

I was so excited to start this book because I knew we be introduced to new characters and new settings. I loved the character development for Zarya and how her connection to Rabin becomes clear. But honestly I'm loving the friendship that grows with Yasen more. I'm super excited to read the final book.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own and offered voluntarily.

Storm of Ink and Blood is the third book in The Nightfire Quartet and it really steps up the action and world-building. Zaryaโ€™s powers continue to grow, and we get to see her take on more responsibility in the rebellion. The relationship between Zarya and Rabin is intense and filled with tensionโ€”sometimes a bit too muchโ€”but it makes for a compelling storyline. Their dynamic keeps shifting, and I like that she didnโ€™t immediately forgive him after the betrayal from the previous book. Yasen also shines in this one, with his unwavering support and their evolving friendship being a highlight.

The pacing is faster compared to the earlier books, with plenty of twists, new characters, and a lot more spice. The found-family element is still strong, which is one of my favorite parts of the series. If you enjoy fantasy with rich magic, complex characters, and a good mix of romance and action, this book won't disappoint. It ends on a cliffhanger, so I'm definitely excited for the next one!

Its release day for A Storm of Ink & Blood by Nisha J Tuli!!!! This is the third book in The Nightfire Quartet series! I do not want to spoil things for those who havenโ€™t read the series or havenโ€™t read this book yet so I wonโ€™t share many details BUT this book did NOT disappoint! Nishaโ€™s books have never disappointed me. This book had sassy and hilarious banter, found family, a bit of slow burn, bonded pairs, a swoonworthy MMC, a powerful FMC, fabulous side characters, and spicy spice! It was an emotionality roller coaster that I didnโ€™t really have any desire to get offโ€ฆeven when I said I did. The end of this book was not as bad as I expected but as per always it had me wanting to ask for more! Love this series, love this book, love this author! I definitely cannot recommend this series enough, itโ€™s become one of my favorite romantasy series, just like Nishaโ€™s Artefacts of Ouranos series.

TLDR: Fantasy lovers, pick up this series, starting with the Heart of Night and Fire. You wonโ€™t regret adding it to your TBR!

Rating: 4/5
Spice level: 3/5

Plot: What an amazing, action-filled book! It was a great third book. Itโ€™s so common for middle books to feel like fillers for the finale, but it didnโ€™t feel that way at all. The story, the discoveries, the secrets continued and were engaging till the last page. Another great thing about this one is that, removing the romance, the story still stands strong. Itโ€™s clear that the romance is a supporting part of the FMCโ€™s development as she figures out who she is and what she stands for.

Characters: Nisha writes bad-ass FMCs and Zarya is no exception. She is strong-willed, funny, a great friend, occasionally impulsive, and I love it. She really digs into herself in this book, doing everything she can to help others. I canโ€™t wait to see what she does in the next book.

The MMC is so smitten, it was heart-wrenching to read. He clearly will do anything he can to help Zarya. I appreciated getting to see a bit more of his life in this one, it provided a better understanding for us readers to see why he did what he did in the last book.

Spice: The spice in this one is GOOD. It is explicit, open door (in case that makes some uncomfortable), but the book has a tasteful amount, and as usual with Nisha, it is well-written.

Cons: Very few. There were some characters that I wouldโ€™ve liked to see more of, but that may be coming in the next book!

Highly recommend adding this series to your ever-growing list of fantasy reads. I canโ€™t wait for it to be released on October 4th! Thank you to Nisha and Second Sky for providing me with an ARC, it was such an honour.

This book was the perfect amount of spice, tension and plot. I really enjoyed the journey Zarya went on, from learning to dive deeper into her powers to learning to trust again.
The writing, as always, just has this way of sucking you into the story and I enjoyed every second of it! I stand by my words that this is one of my most favorite Romantasy series out there and I cannot wait for book 4!

Thank you to Netgalley, SecondSky and Niha J Tuli for sending me an ARC for my honest review.

This was a 4โญ

Thank you @netgalley for both the epub #arc and audio #alc of this book!

This is the 3rd installment in the Nightfire Quartet and continues the thrilling saga of Zarya, a young woman caught in a world of magic, rebellion, and forbidden love.

The book is definitely more fast-paced than the last couple! It kept me flipping the pages as Zarya navigated the complexities of her newfound power and the growing rebellion against the oppressive regime.

The romance between Zarya and Rabin is a central element of the story, and their tumultuous relationship adds depth and complexity to their characters. (And okay, being honest kind of drove me crazy. Figure your shit out Zarya!)

One of the strengths of the series is the well-developed supporting cast. Characters like Yasen bring a diverse range of perspectives and abilities to the story, adding depth and richness to the narrative. It always makes me love a story more when the supporting characters steal my heart.

There were a few twists I didnโ€™t see coming and I am excited for the next book!

Was I the only one totally confused at the start? Like last we knew she was going to find her family and now she is helping with these rebels? I would have liked a bit more explanation. I do not trust her dad and am concerned what is going to happen when they go there. Also? What the heck happened when Vikram and Amrita bonded because they both became SOOOO weird! Also, Zayra really needs to grow up (I am trying to be kind to our dear swamp girl as she has been sheltered) and make better decisions!

In The Nightfire Quartet series, this is the third novel. This novel delivered on its promise! I've never been let down by Nisha's novels. This novel featured connected pairings, a tough and fierce FMC, sassy and amusing banter, found family, a little slow burn, amazing side characters, and fiery spice! The experience was highly emotional. Now I want to read more of this series ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

I wish I could give this book more stars than 5! Thank you Second Sky books for gifting me an ARC.

This book was a perfect lead up to a finale. It was so well written and entertaining and had me on the edge of my seat while still building up to that conclusion that is going to come with book 4.

Storm of Ink and Blood was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it did not disappoint. The tension and the chemistry between these characters is unmatched and I am invested in every singe character in this book. This is book three in the Nightfire quartet and every book in this series gets better and better.

Zarya is one of my favorite FMCs that I've read. In this book she grows even more and really starts to come into her power. Her character development in this book has me so excited to see what is going to happen in book 4! Yassen is still one of my favorite characters from any story ever and still steals the spotlight in every scene he is in. We get a lot from the characters we already know and love in this story, but Nisha was able to seamlessly add in a bunch of new characters that were are so well written and fit into this story beautifully (Miraan, Ajay are so much fun and I am invested).

I loved learning more about Rabin and getting an insight into his life prior to this story starting. I am really curious to see what is going to happen with him.

This book was full of twists and turns and was honestly the best addition to this series. I am so excited for the fourth and final book in this series.

I can not get enough of this series.
Zarya has dark magic and she wants to free vanshja. They have a special ink around their necks and they are slaves. The ink hids their magic.
Zarya is also getting over Rabin as she thought he had betrayed her. She is also in the city where her half siblings live and they don't know anything about her and they are royalty. She is finding out that she does not like her siblings and once wanted to know them and now she doesn't.
I love this world and the characters and how Zarya is growing as a person.
I can't wait for the next and last book of this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Second Sky for the ebook to review.

Spice 3/5๐ŸŒถ๏ธ

Prophecy's
Dark Magic
Hidden Magic
Mysterious Power
Comedic Relief Character
Expansion of World and Knowledge

This book was a whorl wind of events. The first two books were really about building the characters and creating a base level of knowledge, with some turmoil. This book became the expansion of all of the ideas and thoughts that happened in book one and two. In this book we got more information, questions answered, as well as new questions formed. We had the introduction of many new characters with the creation of turmoil that pushed the story along. We had the growth and development of characters within this book that not only stayed true to their previous traits, but also expanded on them as individuals that opened the door for more development in the next book. This book kind of acted like a middle book in a normal trilogy where we had the pick up of the story that led to an interesting read that ultimately set up what will transpire on the last and final book. This book was a completely different feel than the first two books and I enjoyed reading it very much,

If you enjoyed the first two books and were looking for character growth, introduction of new turmoil, and the blooming of character emotions I would definitely recommend this book.

Storm of ink and blood is the third book in the Nightfire quartet series. And like the previous books this one definitely delivered!

The setting in this book is very different from the first two and we can see true character development happening in this book, you can truly see how she has grown from book 1! The twists in this one truly kept me on the edge for the entire time. So much action, MAGIc (theres a ton of that) romance and spicee ( deserves a A+). And some of the side characters are just my favorites and I absolutely adore them!!

This book ends up on a big cliffhanger , which i know was absolutely necessary but ughhh cant wait for the last book in this series <3
I Absolutely loved reading this book and I am thankful to the author, second sky Books and Netgalley for an eARC-copy in echt of an honest review.

This book was a solid 3 โญ๏ธ!!

I really did enjoy this book (ate it up in one night if you canโ€™t tell by my start to finish dates lol).
The plot was extremely interesting, the spice was a 3 ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ/5, the side characters are very endearing, and I did enjoy the pace of the story! I also do enjoy the FMC (Zarya) though her naivety can be a bit frustrating (but then what can you expect from a girl locked away most of her life lol).

I really did enjoy the difference in scenery/location from the first two books too! I love seeing other cities/landscapes and I feel this book did a great job in describing the differences and bringing the new location to life alongside the new cast of characters.

Things I wasnโ€™t a big fan of:

1. I still feel like weโ€™re building and building up to this grand meeting between two characters over the last two books and I keep feeling this is dragging just a bit? I was hoping to have just one quick meeting or even a sighting from afar but I could also just be impatient.

2. I also wish some aspects were explained, or even hinted at more, as I feel if certain aspects are revealed and (then potentially fixed) all in the next book, it might seem rushed or ill paced. This is just something I wish had been explored a bit more or wondered at by Zarya a bit more.

Things I enjoyed:

1. Rabin

2. Rabin

3. Did I mention Rabin?

4. In all seriousness, I do love Rabin as a character and MMC. Does he have his flaws? Yes. Am I also slightly annoyed with his naivety? Yes. Do I like him any less? Absolutely not!

Overall, I enjoyed this book! It was a very quick read for me and was extremely entertaining!

4.75โญ๏ธ rounded up!

Nisha has given us a whole new part of her world to explore and I am loving every minute of it. I wasnโ€™t sure if I was invested in the first book with our first MMC because I wasnโ€™t feeling the connection (which makes sense), but after book 2, and now this one? I am โœจINVESTEDโœจ and have been telling anyone that will listen to check this series out.

Zarya gets to learn more about her family in this book while she extends onto her found family to help with a revolution for the Vanshaj. I also love Rabin as an MMC, and am completely obsessed with where he takes Zarya so she can learn more about him. Plus the spicy scenes in this one?! Through the roof. I felt like this book was well paced and took me through all the emotions. There may be a couple loose ends to tie up in Dharati, but Iโ€™m so excited to see how Nisha wraps this up with book 4!

This author will on my purchase list - because her books are that good! This is no exception of course! Rabin ugh what a MAN!!! If you are looking for a brooding man, with a secret heart of gold this series is for you!! Zarya really has grown since the first book is the only โ€œspoilerโ€ I will give. This book is book 3, the first two being - Heart of Night and Fire and the second being Dance of Stars and Ashes. I love all the new characters that were introduced! They were so loveable and so strong, every part of this book makes you feel the resilience of the characters. This book comes out tomorrow! (10/04/2024!!) I loved this book and I know that my recommendations are never wrong and you all will love this book too!

Storm of Ink and Blood is the third book in this thrilling Nightfire Quartet series. Nisha has outdone herself as each book in this series is released. I can't rave enough about this unique and intriguing book. The stunning rich detail of this beautiful world, the suspense and the ongoing push-pull of Zarya and Rabinโ€™s relationship, has the reader mesmerized and wanting more. I seriously can't wait to read the final book! I'm obsessed!
