It's rare that I come across a book that I find as intriguing as this series has been.

I love the strength that Zaraya exudes. She has a lot of difficult decisions to make, and while sometimes she tends to make those decisions at the drop of a hat, it takes her a while to come to her conclusions. I think that's what makes for a good character.

I'm also always about the "he falls first" trope. Rabin is not perfect, and he knows it, but his love seems unconditional. I just cannot wait to see where this conclusion ends. The King. Rabin. Zaraya.

There's so much duplicitous action happening in this series, bound with the unique take on magic systems, that feels refreshing in a world where fantasy feels like it's being overrun with the same story over and over. This one isn't much different, BUT the story feels like it has its own voice.

Storm of Ink and Blood is a thrilling ride from start to finish. Zarya’s evolution from a sheltered girl to a fierce warrior is captivating, and the action is nonstop. This book sees her mastering her magic and joining rebels to challenge the monarchy.

The twists and turns keep the story fresh, and the relationship between Zarya and Yasen is heartwarming. Rabin’s chemistry with Zarya is sizzling, and their evolving romance is a standout.

The book ends on a brutal cliffhanger, leaving me eagerly awaiting the final installment. If you haven’t started this series yet, you’re missing out—add it to your list!

And here we go again. Book 1 in this series was my first NJT book that I ever read, and her work only gets BETTER!

This is book 3 in the series and now I have a fully fledged addiction to her writing. Just when you think the story is already great, she goes and makes you stressed, hurt and ache.... ask the things you want (surprisingly).

Despite the cliff I was shoved off---unfortunate but necessary---I really enjoyed the romance filler, tensions building, plot unfolding, stressful moments, angsty feelings, swooning, and thirsty moments.

If you like ACOTAR, Fourth Wing, Fae Isles, Quicksilver and Serpents and the Wings of Night, then I think you'll enjoy this series ❤️‍🔥✨️

This is book three in The Nightfire Quartet and here are my thoughts:

Likes:

+ Zarya and her bestie Yasen are back and bringing the humor. I love their friendship and love that they would still follow each other anywhere even if Zarya has her Rabin.

+ Zarya is in a new city and helping a rebellion so it’s a new adventure for her. She gets a glimpse and some interaction with her half-siblings and it’s not the kind of reunion she was expecting. She’s also working on her powers to break the tattoo collars on the people who have them. I did like that they were somewhere new and we get to meet new characters.

+ The romance was rocky at the end of book two and so Rabin and Zarya needed to try again to make things work. Thing is Rabin has to get past her defenses and make it up to her. He is patient with her and they do have a few spicy scenes but I’m worried that her father will test their new found bond again. It does seem like this time they have really let each other in and they took steps to solidify their bond as best as they can but I am still suspicious about her dad and I question Rabin’s loyalty to him.

Dislikes:

~ This one might have been a tad bit too long. Zarya spends a lot of time trying to work on her magic and trying to break the tattoo collars and for the first few time it’s interesting but it got repetitive.

~ There were times I thought Zarya was just so naive about things and wish she had a little more growth.


My Final Thoughts:

I thought this was a good third book and I can’t wait to see how it ends.

So I just want to make it clear to others that this book is part of a bigger series! But I read it as a standalone. I absolutely love fantasy and this book did a terrific job and transporting me to a different realm and reality. If you loved books like ACOTAR you would also love this! It provides the perfect romantasy fill for your needs. I like our protagonist and all the cool names everyone and the places around have.
It is very rare that you get an appendix with all the characters and what they do in it and I found it so helpful especially with the amount of characters there is.
It is easy to follow and a very interesting story with lot's of twists and turns and betrayal.

As it continues from the previous book, we can see zarya still feels betrayed and heartbroken by Rabin. But she follows a new adventure of finding new people and freedom and finding herself back to someone she loves.
I am in awe of this book and its world building. The characters and their powers Rabin and zarya still have this wonderful chemistry. There were some scenes that were so good like🔥🔥🔥

Also I can't believe that both got married despite the bond . They finished the bond tying ceremony and omg. and zarya has half siblings 😭 such a roller-coaster book it was. So many risky things zarya did but it was such a wonderful book.

Can't wait for the next part of the book. And I can't wait for more zarya and Rabin adventures. ❤️ highly recommend this book series.

This book was a banger! I absolutely love Nisha J. Tuli’s books and this one did not disappoint. The 2nd one was more thrilling, but this was the perfect buildup to the final book of the series!

I am a big fan of Nisha Tuli and am so thrilled to get to read the third in her Nightfire Quartet - I cannot wait for the final installment, I'm so ready for it!! This fantasy romance series has it all and is so magical, steamy, and atmospheric, it makes you want to re-read just to stay in the world. Highly recommend!

Nisha J. Tuli's third book in the Nightfire Quartet had me on the edge of my seat. The action, the characters, the spice - this book hits just right. Anyone who hasn't picked up this series is missing out!

I loved getting to see the amazing growth from Zarya. She goes from this very sheltered girl in Book 1 to this fierce warrior over the course of her journey -- this book truly shows how far she has come. The book opens with her aiding a group of rebels opening to the challenge the hierarchy and regime of the monarchy. Through the course of this adventure, she also starts mastering her six anchors even more. I loved seeing her grown in a magic wielding badass. She is just such a fun FMC to follow.

I also loving where this story is going -- Nisha has been slowly expanding the story over three books and it took some turns I did not expect. I am excited to see where this adventure goes next in the final book in the quartet.

I also loved that Yasen went on this journey with his "second best friend" -- their relationship is one of my favorites. He challenges her, but is also supportive of her in all the ways. Their found family connection makes my heart happy in many ways. I also loved the return of other characters including Row, as well as the appearance of new characters -- including a new person on the scene by the end of the book (I don't wanna spoil it!).
And then there is Rabin. Zarya and Rabin sizzle on the page. I can't help but fall a little more for Rabin -- the confidence, the steadfastness, and the mouth on that man (whew)! I loved seeing their relationship finally hit a new point. I am excited to see them strengthen even more as a couple over the final book, because I feel like Nisha has some surprises in store for them.

The book ends on a brutal, but inevitable cliffhanger (it had to happen). I can't wait to see how all these stories collide in the next book! Definitely add this series to your list.

Wow, wow, wow!

If there is anything Tuli can do it is leaving us wanting more! As a fan of The Nightfire Quartet I was ecstatic to get this ARC! As usual, it did not disappoint! I can not wait to see what the next book holds.

As a fan of Tuli's Artefacts of Ouranos series, I felt the Nightfire Quartet was a bit slow to start. After some gentle worldbuilding and the beginnings of a fiery relationship in the first two books, Storm of Ink and Blood begins right in the thick of things and is the best book in the series so far. Be prepared for some emotional ups and downs. And while this book doesn't leave us on a gut-punch of a cliffhanger (thank God!), you just know it's about to kick off. The foreboding was palpable! Can't wait for the next book!

I absolutely loved this book. Great characters, cant wait to see what happens next, seeing her come into her power and how she will fulfill the prophecy from her mothers necklace. I'm curious if her father is how Rabin knows him or hoe row knows him. Guess I will patiently wait for the next book to find out.

I’ve yet to be disappointed by a Nisha Tuli book. A great third addition to this series. The perfect bridge before the finally addition to this series. Sarya and Rabins love story is quick but with enough exposition to justify its quickness. Bringing in characters we’ve already loved and giving us new ones to love or hate. I can’t wait for the final book in this series!

This was such a fast paced actioned filled book! Book 3 deffo did not dissapoint and the spice was sooo on point!

God. Where to even start with this review? Nisha J Tuli's writing gets better and better and this book truly blew me away. I wish I had the sort of willpower where I wouldn't have devoured this in mere hours, but unfortunately it's over now and I will be deeply distraught until the final installment is in my greedy little hands.

HE IS SO SWEET, I SWEAR. I need more. Immediately. I don't want to hint at ANY of what happens in this book because I want to leave you all the spoiler-free space to be giggling and shrieking "AW" and kicking your feet like I was. But please know that I love this book immensely and that I was captivated start to finish. Nisha upped the spice-ante and somehow maintained the incredibly precious feel of their love story simultaneously. She continued building on this exceptional, rich world's lore and had it follow in its siblings' footsteps as a beautifully unique fantasy. It's well balanced and absolutely everything I look for in a romantasy.

Zarya and Rabin’s story is my top three favorite stories. I loved this book, almost as good as the first book in the series. It had to much action, new twists and turns, new enemies, plot lines. New adventures, cities, characters. It kept me on my toes the entire time. And the spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ favorite spice out of all Nishas books!

Another great book in the Nightfire Quartet series!! If Nisha writes it, I will read it! 🙌

It’s hard to think of what to say without spoilers, so I’ll just say the book picks up a few months after the second book in the series, and starts off a bit slower, with lots of character building and internal searching for Zarya. Yassen and Zarya continue to be best-friend-goals, and I liked the returning and new bunch of characters.

Parts of this book felt a little slow for me, but the second half made up for it in action and spice and I can’t wait for the fourth and final book in the series to see where they are all going to end up! 💙

I had high hopes but ultimately, I had to put it down. The pacing was unbearably slow, and the story lacked the intrigue or excitement to keep me engaged. Despite an interesting premise, the plot dragged on without enough development or action to hold my attention. I found myself losing interest rather quickly. Unfortunately, this one was a DNF for me.

First, thank you NetGalley, Nisha Tuli, and Second Sky for this book. It’s always an honor to get to read one of Nisha’s books early.

We pick up after the events of Stars and Ashes with Zarya still angry at Rabin’s betrayal but still completely drawn to him. Still trying find out more about the prophecy and how Zarya is connected to all of it, she and Yasen travel to the city of Ishaan. New allies are formed and old friends join them, including our favorite brooding dragon shifter. Zarya continues to uncover more about her magic and how she’s connected to what’s happening here.

I will never stop recommending Nisha Tuli’s books! They are amazing and this one was nonstop from the first page! I love how she expanded to world this world of the Nightfire Quartet! Her world building is always on point and I love how she truly paints a pictures for her readers.

We got so many new characters in this book!! But I love that the friendship between Zarya and Yasen is still such a cornerstone of the series. The two of them are constantly there for each other and their bond is so strong. Nisha knows how to write such strong female characters, and I love that she gave Zarya Yasen as a friend to compliment her. Seriously Zee and Yas are friendship goals.

I loved that Nisha gave us a different side of Rabin in this book. While I loved his broody side in books 1 & 2, in this he definitely showed his softer side for Zarya. He was constantly there for her, proving that she can trust him. The magical bond they share is so interesting and I’m looking forward to see what more Zarya can do in the next book.

This series honestly gets better and better with each book! I am so glad I had the opportunity to read and review it. Nisha is one of my favorite authors and I will continue to tell everyone to read her books.

Book three pumped up the romance and spice. Also introduced new characters that I love. I am so excited for book 4 and the end of this series.
