I love this book for two reasons. First, I have read most of these poems in one course or another, and it was thrilling to meet them again. Secondly, the graphical adaptations give birth to greater meaning for the 21st century brain. If I were teaching a history or literature involving this time period or format, I would definitely include Above the Dreamless Dead as part of the syllabus.
