I will be honest, this author has always been a struggle for me. I love that this is a male romance author (we don't have nearly enough of them) but his use of military lingo and tech terminology can be distracting at times. I liked this one but it was a slow read for me and I would have DNF'd it for that reason but I wanted to be able to read this as I wanted to do a review of it for Netgalley. (as I am working toward getting through all my backlogged books to review through them)
Light Up The Night is a very interesting story, and it has the typical flair of action that you normally see with this author. I really liked the connection that this pairing had together. Its basically a hate to love you story at least at the beginning, but there is attraction and chemistry they both hold for each other. As they continue to work together, respect and affection begins to build between the two. I had a fun time seeing their interactions that happen through the story and even though I did skim in some parts due to the slow paced writing, it was still a likeable story. And if you love seeing a action paced military romance then you definitely should check this one out and this author.

The First book I read by Buchman I thought I was reading a female author. As I was reading I thought maybe not. Female authors rarely care so much about the detail of a helicopter or of guns..
Having said that I liked this series but just wished there was a little less detail in mechanical things. The story was there, I just got bored with the detail in the technical things.
