Loved the storyline. The story was about the everyday working lives of the girls and their families in and around Dressmakers’s Alley. It brought together the friendship between the upper and lower classes. A wonderful book, can’t wait for the next one.
This visit to the Dressmaker’s alley shows us the criminal element of the area rising up again but with the locals on the case nothing gets overlooked. The girls in the workroom are starting a new venture with Lady Diana at the helm.
Loving this series and looking forward to another visit soon.
Clarke does a great job at capturing the feel of the time period in regards to fashion, as well as the problems of the time. Real-life work, relationship, and social issues make the characters easy to identify with.
Thank you to NetGalley, and Boldwood Books for allowing me to read and review this book.

Dark Secrets on Dressmakers Alley by Rosie Clarke
The girls of Dressmakers' Alley are happy in their new jobs. Business is thriving and yet a new shadow looms.
Women are being attacked and robbed whilst several businesses have been burgled. Are these two circumstances linked or is this just a coincidence?
As the attacks escalate, and the police seem unmoved to intervene, the men of Dressmakers' Alley decide to take the law into their own hands and patrol the streets to keep them and their women safe.
But when the man suspected of the attacks is found brutally murdered the eyes of suspicion fall on the group and Sam Collins is charged with murder. He seemingly has a motive, no alibi and is the owner of the murder weapon. The Police are convinced they have their man but fiancé Winnie is determined to prove him innocent.
Another great outing for the residents of the alley , and what a great read it is.
Another wonderful historical fictional read.
Murder, romance and family drama galore.
A really lovely read from this wonderful author.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
