Help little ones overcome fear, worry, and sadness with faith-filled promises that foster hope on hard days. They need our attention and care when they fell hurt. This book helps us to deal with our hurt child.

I love this series, and this book is the perfect addition. It affirms kids with biblical truth as they walk through difficult times. Really, I think it will comfort kids even in good times, reminding them that God is there for all their feelings, even grief and sadness. I love how it points to Jesus as an example of seeking God in suffering and how it ends with "Joy is still coming." As a parent, I know it can seem easier to spend as little time as possible talking about hard emotions, so I love how this book provides a beautiful pause-point to engage with a tricky topic.

When it Hurts by Emily Assell is yet another beautiful baby and toddler board book, similar to her three previous volumes. Her books in this series are my “go to” baby shower gifts. The illustrations are colorful and draw you in. But the best part is her beautiful expression of the promises of God in scripture presented in such a tender and engaging way even for little ones. As I read this book, how I wanted to share it with all the tiny people in my life but it’s truth brought comforting reminders of God’s tender care and love into my heart. Beautiful book to share with little ones!

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.
I beautifully written story with quotes from the bible about God's love when we are hurting. A great way to introduce God to children.

A lovely book to show children that God cares about them. I loved the scripture on each page. Thank you Tyndale publishers and NetGalley.
