I’ve always been a fan of Jojo Moyes and was glad to get this book.

Lila’s life is in chaos, Her husband has left her for another woman. Her step dad then moves in when her mother dies. To boot she also has two daughters, lots of drama and a dog. So her life is a bit of a hot mess.

A great story of a very blended and multigenerational family with a little bit of dysfunction too.

Lila Kennedy's world has been shattered. Her mother has died, and Lila just finished a book on how to make marriage work when her husband left her. Then the father that abandoned her 35 years earlier shows up on her doorstep. Her love life is almost nonexistent, and she's not sure how she'll support her two daughters. Plus, every day when she picks up her elementary daughter, she sees the pregnant woman her husband left her for.
But with the help of her stepdad and a few good friends, Lila learns to make room in her heart for people who, even if they aren't biological family, become a family of choice.

Wow did I love this book! It was so much fun to read. I love it when the characters in a book make you smile and laugh. So much fun even though there was all the messiness in the main characters life! I couldn’t put it down and I highly recommend this book!

A humorous and heartwarming novel about family's imperfect bonds. Lila Kennedy navigates divorce, daughter drama, and a crumbling career, only to face her toughest challenges yet: a blended family and a long-lost father's return. Can love and forgiveness heal even the deepest fractures? - I enjoyed this book!

I have loved so many of JoJo Moyes books. This one was not one I probably would have picked up except for it being by her… just not my usual genres I like to read.

But man am I glad I did!

I loved the characters in this book. I thought Lila was one of the most relatable characters… raising teenage girls in a hard time to be a teenager. I completely understood the stress of caring for aging parents and juggling work, home, and a social life. And I wanted to sit and have coffee with Penelope… she was my favorite!

I thought there were some parts of the book that could have been condensed a bit. Some parts felt a little draggy, but I think the character development required it.

Overall, I think this book was fantastically written and I am so glad I got the chance to read it.

Another brilliant book by JoJo Moyes! Lila Kennedy’s life is in a constant state of upheaval - mostly caused by the men in her life. Add in her own insecurities, her two children and even her irascible dog, and it’s a wonder she functions at all. Moyes has a talent for juggling multiple characters, multiple storylines and creating great reads in the process!

I’ve read several books by Jojo Moyes and loved them all. Perhaps my expectations were too high for her new novel We All Live Here as I found that it didn’t pull me in as quickly and completely like her other books did. However, after it got going I became engaged with these imperfect characters handling real-life issues.

The story centers on a divorced Mom, stepdad, real Dad, and the former husband who has hooked up with a younger woman that the Mom has to see everyday at school pickup. Other issues that emerge are writer’s block, money troubles, plumbing issues and for the cherry on top - the new wife is pregnant. It is a heartfelt story that will touch your emotions. To anyone who wants to read it, I recommend staying with it in the beginning because you will come to love these characters.

Thank you to Penguin Group Viking Penguin and NetGalley for an advance reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I do love an unconventional family story! This was super cute and worth it if you are looking for a "feel good" read.

Another one of those stories where I’m figuring out who should play the characters when they do a movie version. Such fun characters!!! No problem promoting this one - I’m already talking it up to friends!!

This book is good, but not Jojo Moyes’s best. I was absolutely captivated by The Giver of Stars, so I had high hopes when I received this ARC, but it didn’t draw me in like The Giver of Stars did. I found it slow to start, but Moyes still delivers beautiful prose as always.

Another fabulous story by JoJo Moyes. This story was so full of heart- it had moments where I wanted to cry but also had me laughing and smiling. The character development is so good and you really get a sense of Lila and everyone she interacts with. It’s a very relatable story too.

We All Live Here was a page turner, a could not put down read!

The characters were real and made you fall in love with them, unforgettable. Each character had their own uniqueness that they brought forward. There were so many real-life experiences thrown into this novel that made you stay sucked in for the duration of the story.

This is most definitely a must read by Jojo Moyes and one that I have already recommended.

Thank you, NetGalley and Penguin Group Viking Penguin|Pamela Dorman Books for the ARC.

Jojo Moyes is a gifted writer and I will continue to read all her publications. Possibly as the reader my expectations were too high. We Are All Here was not disappointing - just not as I expected. it took several attempts and many chapters to get engaged with the narrative. Perhaps it has too many characters dealing with too many traumas ?

I was so excited to get this book because I have read books from this author before. I was not disappointed. It did start off a little slowly, but it built up to an interesting story. It related to dysfunctional families and how that crosses over into the generations following. I think the characters were well written, especially Lila. I found it to be a well written, and I will be recommending this book to others.

Thank you Net Galley ARC

Jojo Moyes has been a favorite of mine since Me Before You. I was so excited to see that she wrote a new novel. The first part seemed a little slow but she was just setting the stage for the heart of the story. Her characters are a bit quirky but so enjoyable. Lila’s life has been a little rocky since her father Gene left her at 4 years old. He now comes back in her life and boy do the family dynamics change! Her mom has died and she now has both her stepdad and biological dad living with her and her 2 daughters. By no means is Gene the typical dad but has a good heart and helps to heal this fractured family. There is also an ex-husband who lives close by but now has a new wife who has a son and is also pregnant. Families come in all shapes and sizes which is very much on display in this book. Good character growth by all is so important to the story. By the end of the book, I loved them all!! Well done!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book.

This is my first (but definitely not last) Jojo Moyes read. Lila’s life has been completed upended by her husband Dan’s decision to leave her and their two young daughters, along with the sudden death of her own mother. For the first part of this book, Lila is mostly just full of (justifiable) rage and bitterness towards everyone, but there is a slow stitching together of a new definition of family that is messy, chaotic, and redemptive. It involves a light touch of romance, a lot of forgiveness, and a celebration of friendships and unconventional family dynamics. I most of all loved this cast of characters, young and old—all rebels in their own way—and each one endearing and memorable. Moyes's characters all felt real and relatable to me. I know at least a dozen women who will definitely be able to see their own stories reflected honestly in this lovely book.

Highlights include the hilarious interactions between her shy, quiet, meticulous step-father and her biological dad who has just crashed back into their lives after decades of only occasional contact. And her blunt, potty-mouthed elementary-aged daughter Violet who is a hoot.

Big thanks to Penguin Publishing Group, Jojo Moyes, and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have been a huge fan of JoJo Moyes books ever since I read Me Before You so I always jump at the chance to read any book that she writes. This book was enjoyable, not my favorite by her but I would still recommend it.

Lila is just trying to hold her life together - being left by her husband for a younger woman who is now pregnant is just the icing on the cake. Her stepdad lives with her and one day her real father, a man who hasn't really been part of her life shows up wanting to reconnect. But, she realizes that he is down on his luck and is really just looking for a place to crash.

Add to the mix two gentlemen who have interest in Lila and a looming book deadline that is supposed to be a follow up and is about her journey after divorce and you have a lot of things happening.

The flow of the story, as is the case with all of her books, is great. And I also really enjoyed how the characters were developed. I would highly recommend this story.

This book was just okay for me. It was a pretty slow read, and I had some trouble engaging in the beginning. It does well in exploring dysfunctional family relationship and how they affect many different generations. I did not feel Lila was very likeable at times, so that did detract from the story somewhat. She does redeem herself toward the end.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group for giving me this ARC in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are my own.

After writing a successful book about how fortunate she is in the support from her husband, she's blindsided by
his request for a divorce. Still dealing with her mother's death, she is trying her best to hold it together for her
two daughters. On top of the house falling down around her, her stepfather seems to have moved in, her father
suddenky reappears and she has writer's block. Loved the charaters and story about family, forgiveness and
moving forward,
