Loved this one. It was a great story. Light-hearted and quirky. Just perfect with a festive vibe running through it. A new author for me which I'll be looking out for in the future. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Maggie Field is the IT supervisor at work and oversees her three friends Jasper, Frank, and Leo. When the guys realize she'll be alone for Christmas, they come up with a plan to have her split her holidays amongst the three of them. As Maggie gets ready to begin her holiday, she's told she'll have to choose one employee from her department to make redundant. Now there's a dark cloud hanging over the festivities as Maggie must decide who will go. And complicating things even more is the fact that Maggie is realizing she might have feelings for Leo after years of friendship. Can she handle the decision she must make and walk away with her friendships- and love life- intact?
This was such a charming story of friendship, with a sweet romance added into the mix. I adored all the characters in this book and how it was split into parts as Maggie spent her holidays with Frank, Jasper, and Leo. There were some fun hijinks, snotty relatives, a fake dating twist, and several sweet romantic gestures. It was easy to tell how close-knit this group of co-workers were, and they really became a family by the end. Maggie's decision was definitely tough, and I wasn't entirely sure how things would turn out. In the end, I felt like she did the right thing, and I thought the guys handled it well. This is now the third Kristen Bailey book I've read, and I've enjoyed them all. If you've read Five Gold Rings by her, there's even a brief cameo by those characters! I can't wait to read more from this author!
Thank you Netgalley and Storm Publishing for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This is the second book I’ve read by Kristen Bailey and I can’t wait to read more. I got this as an ARC from NetGalley and am so happy I did.
I loved the relationships between Maggie, Jasper, Frank, and Leo. Their respective Christmas celebrations were fantastic and the ending was perfect. This was a sweet, fun, Christmas story!
Maggie Field is head of a small IT team. Although initially horrified by the guys in the team, over the last four years she has gently smoothed some of their rough edges and now they are like family, united against the rest of the firm who banished IT to the basement and forgot about them (at least until they forget a password).
An only child, her parents have gone on a cruise for Christmas so Maggie was resigned to spending the holidays alone, until her team take it upon themselves to share their very different Christmas plans with her. First Maggie is Frank's 'plus one' at a family wedding, then she spends a few days with posh Jasper and his family at their stately home, and then she spends Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Leo and his family oop North.
But just before she leaves for Christmas, HR break the news to Maggie that she needs to make one of her team redundant. As she spends time with each of the guys she realises how much they each need their jobs, and how can she break such awful news at Christmas?
I read Kristen's last book Five Gold Rings, and although I enjoyed it it was a little too full-on for me, too many Christmas puns etc. Consequently, I was not sure whether to request an ARC when I saw this on NetGalley. I needn't have worried, whilst there is plenty of humour here, and it too is Christmas-based, it is altogether gentler, less frenetic.
Overall, a lovely, funny, holiday romance.
I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley.
Available on Kindle Unlimited.
This is a perfect, feel-good, cosy up with the fire and Christmas tree lit behind you kind of book. Perfect Christmas read, simple and easy! This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

Obsessed !! This was amazing. Delivers exactly what is should romance and comedy and in bucket loads. Made me laugh out loud and even swoon a little !!
I absolutely adored this book!! It is exactly what I look for in a Christmas rom-com. I literally laughed out loud several times (thanks Jasper) and the way these characters love each other warmed my heart and had me shed a few tears.
This is my first Kristen Bailey book, but I will be looking through her backlog to catch up soon!
**Thanks Storm Publishing via NetGalley for the e-arc! I truly loved this one!!
Absolutely hilarious and heartwarming at the same time. I chuckled so many times as I was learning the quirks and depths of these characters. It was beautiful watching all the friendships bloom around Christmastime in London. I love when a book makes the characters feel so real it’s as if they’re your friends, too!
A Christmas rom-com slay! 100% 5/5
This book is everything I love in a cozy romance. Kristen Bailey does an excellent job of creating a story and engrossing me into the characters lives and dynamics. I loved following along and guessing who she’d pick in the end, and trust me you won’t be disappointed! A perfect read for the upcoming holiday season.
This book is told in the POV of Maggie who is the line manager for Leo, Frank and Jasper. Maggie has no where to go over Christmas and when her team discover this, they invite her to share Christmas with them - Frank at his sister's wedding, Jasper at his posh stately family home and Leo up North with his family. Before Maggie leaves for Christmas, she finds out that she must make one of the men redundant.
I really enjoyed this book and the friendships within it. I loved Maggie as lead character and she absolutely felt like someone I could be friends with. The thing with this story is that it's fairly obvious who Maggie will have the romantic relationship, the twists and turns of the plot were predicatble and I could also tell what Maggie's final decision would be. And yet, it didn't take away from this wonderful story at all.
There were some plot points that I wish had been followed through a bit more clearly and some that happened off the page (THEY HAD PHONE SEX AND WE ONLY FOUND OUT BECAUSE JASPER BLURTED IT OUT ON THE PAGE?! FOR SHAME, MAGGIE!!)
The ensemble cast was fun and the book was really faszt paced and easy to get into. I have read 3 books by this author now and have loved every single one.

Such a cute read!! Thank you so much to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review!
Unfortunately the sense of humor didn’t work for me as it was too quirky and felt forced. It made it difficult for me to connect with the story,
Another hilarious and heartfelt read from my latest autobuy author. Kristin Bailey is certainly on the nice list.
Add this to your festive TBR immediately. I fell in love with the characters of We Three Kings right away and I felt like lived each Christmassy moment along side them. I laughed my head off and I really rooted for the romance and a happy ending for each person. It made me feel so happy reading it.
It’s the feel good, cozy read that every romance reader needs in the lead up to Christmas, and the perfect gift to pop in someone’s stocking.
Thanks SO much to the author, publisher and NetGalleh for a chance to review an advanced copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
We Three Kings is such a cozy Christmas read, I really enjoyed it. Maggie works in the IT department in the basement of the office, she has three members of staff, Jasper, Leo and Frank, all geeky in their own way. It’s Christmas and she’ll be by herself, but the men all help. Jasper has invited her to his house in the country, Leo for Christmas at his house and attends a wedding with Frank. She likes them all, but she has to make a tough decision regarding work.
This was a great read, an easy read that will leave you smiling. Maggie is a lovely character and can’t fault anything about her. A Christmassy romance 5star read.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.
Another Christmas winner from Kristen Bailey full of her trademark banter, wit and heart. ‘We Three Kings’ could best be described as a cozier ‘The IT Crowd’ (early 2000s UK TV show) Christmas romp com with a dash of romance.
Twentysomething Maggie is an IT manager of a close-knit team of fellow young nerds – the shy Frank, snarky Jasper and calm Leo. But just before the Christmas holidays, Maggie is told she must make one redundant all while they’ve organised for her to spend their Christmas holidays with her so she won’t be alone. Who will Maggie choose? And why is she seeing Leo in a different light?
I adored their little found family and how they all love and respect each other. Each of the different holidays was a lot of fun and I loved how sweet Maggie and Leo were together. The only thing I felt wasn’t as strongly conveyed is Maggie’s career given she was employed as a department supervisor in her early 20s. Also, perhaps THAT development with Leo came a bit too early on and a slower build-up of tension would’ve created a bit more sexual tension. But these were minor because I was too busy being swept up into each of Maggie’s Christmas holidays wondering whom she would pick. I also loved the Eve cameo!
Best read with a cheeseboard and prosecco.
Thanks to Storm and NetGalley for the ARC.
Another hilarious read by Kristen Bailey! Thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for this advance reader's copy. This was a heartwarming tale of co-workers who are also good friends, have adventures over their Christmas break and one friendship blooms into something more. I always love reading Bailey's books. Her characters are so witty and the banter is laugh out loud funny. I really enjoyed Maggie's Christmas adventures with each of her co-workers. Each scenario was totally different but all were so heart-warming. It is easy to picture each character and imagine their personality after reading her descriptions. I loved Maggie and Leo's story, though I was sad to see it fall apart so soon after they got together. Everything works out in the end, but I felt bummed that things fell apart with Leo due to a work issue out of Maggie's control. I loved this humorous Christmas tale. Kristen Bailey writes great stories with so much heart that are full of humor and witty banter. We Three Kings is a great holiday read!
Perfect cozy and festive romance to read (especially at CHRISTMAS time). If you love found family trope then you'll love this romance based upon our main FMC Maggie who carries a beautiful relationship with the three men she works with: Frank (the nerdy one who has no luck with women and Maggie feels the need to look out for), Leo (the calm and caring one who always looks out for Maggie, who also happens to be 6' with blue eyes, totally not trying to hint at ANYTHING) and Jasper (the sarcastic grumpy one who loves to be Maggie's bestfriend although he loves to deny it). The relationships in this book were perfect and the plot was not heavy so it is a very easy read. The book was also quite humorous although in one scene the humor was NOT MY TYPE SO I FOUND IT KINDA CRINGE BUT APART FROM THAT THE HUMOR MADE ME GIGGLE QUITE ALOT. One bone I do have to pick is the clickbait on the cover: THIS WAS NOT A FAKE DATING STORY!!! Maggie does pretend to be Frank's girlfriend at one point but only as a friend and to help him out, but the main love story is not fake dating guys. On the plus side, the buildup was quite heartwarming :)

"I find I'm hyper-aware of more stolen glances over monitors, more coffee breaks together, more laughter over ridiculous IT requests. It's weird, but I find I look for him more in the room, and an excitement overwhelms me when he arrives at work."
A cute, cozy, feel good read. This was lovely and festive, and within a couple of chapters I was hooked and couldn’t wait to keep reading.
It did feel like the timings were slightly off. Some parts felt quite rushed whereas others dragged.
But overall the perfect read for cosying up with a hot chocolate over Christmas.
Kristen Bailey does it again... Can we please have this as a Christmas film ASAP
Four IT workers confined to the basement of their offices, form a wonderful heart-warming friendship. When they find out their colleague/supervisor Maggie is going to be alone for Christmas, Leo, Jasper and Frank put a plan in place to ensure she has Christmas overed by spending a couple of days with each of them and their loved ones, then comes the kicker as they're about to finish for the holidays Maggie gets told she needs to make one of her beloved team redundant in the new year.
With a heart wrenching decision, made more difficult by becoming closer and learning more about these amazing men and all they do.
This is a wonderfully festive treat of families (in all their chaotic glory), and amazing friendships, coming together and celebrating in their own unique ways.
It's such a feel-good book, which pulls on the heart strings, that I was so sad to finish, I wanted to stay wrapped up in their world.
Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC.
I will post on Instagram & Amazon on Publishing day
I really liked the friendships in this one especially the one between Maggie (the female lead) and Jasper, thinking I would love to have something like that. Something that I did not get is why Leo was not able to understand Maggie's position and pov when his character was built in a way that he gets her always and all of a sudden he didn't. Loved the pace and how Christmasy and cute it was.
