I really enjoyed this book! I loved Kristens writing style and I’m looking forward to reading her other books she has written! This is one of those books that has you smiling ear to ear at a scene or giggling to yourself!

A bit of.a slow start for me, but then it took off! Wonderful story about friendships, which became more like favorite family members, not to mention a love story that will just make you melt.

We Three Kings by Kristen Bailey is a charming story that follows three friends who find themselves navigating love and unexpected surprises during a Christmas like no other.

Each character brings their own quirks and backstory, making them relatable and endearing as they face the ups and downs of holiday romance.

The plot intertwines themes of friendship, love, and the challenges of the holiday season, and the setting is crafted well.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing a copy of this ARC.

We Three Kings is heart warming story about Maggie, who has recently taken on a management role at work and is looking forward to spending her first solo Christmas in London. But her team members (Frank, Jasper and Alex) invite her to participate in their holiday festivities. However before Maggie can leave on her Christmas adventure she learns she has to let one of her team member go due to redundancy 💔

Can Maggie find a way to keep her work family together while also finding love this holiday season? This is a rom com full of laugh out loud moments, hilarious misadventures and genuine connections. I highly recommend you add this to your TBR list for the holiday season.

Thank you Storm Publishing for the ARC.

A really enjoyable festive tale about Maggie and her staff of misfit geeks in the IT department set in the basement of company. It’s full of drama involving the personal lives of her employees on the run to Christmas you will laugh and cry at some of the situations/difficulties the characters get into. . Great read delivering the true meaning Christmas - caring and sharing for all and it shows all is not as it seems on the surface. Great read 4.5/5

This novel started off a big slow for me, a little too heavy on the British banter, which is charming but was also a little cheesy with a few too many puns. About 20% in, we finally get the set-up and we're off to the races. Maggie has been asked an impossible task of choosing one of her coworkers to be laid off after the holiday break. Not only has she grown close to her team, but she plans to spend time with all of them during the holidays, including one who she is realizing she's fallen in love with over the years. I liked how the book was essentially divided into 5 acts: a set-up, days with each of her 3 coworkers, then Maggie's decision. In the end, Maggie makes the most ethical choice even though it's tough. Overall, this is a cute holiday story a la a Lifetime Original Movie and sometimes a reader needs warmth and predictability.

We Three Kings is the perfect blend of festive chaos, workplace drama, and swoon-worthy romance! Maggie Field, the head of IT, finds herself in the middle of a hilarious yet heart-tugging holiday adventure, thanks to her three quirky, lovable workmates. And let me tell you, if you've ever had that one attractive coworker who drives you absolutely mad (but in the best way), you'll *feel* for Maggie when it comes to Leo.

What really makes this book shine is how it balances the fun and festive vibes with real-life struggles. Maggie is not just dealing with holiday antics—she's also stuck with an impossible decision. She's got to fire one of her team members, and since they all bring something special to the table, it’s tearing her apart. I mean, how do you let go of someone like Frank, who practically lives for his work, or Jasper, who’s the king of sarcasm and the heart of office banter? Then there's Leo, who’s charming, dependable, and just the right amount of “confusingly attractive." Yeah, it’s a tough call.

The story takes you on a whirlwind holiday ride, with Maggie being roped into everything from playing a fake girlfriend at a wedding (because of course, right?) to chasing a confused donkey in the Lake District. But amid all the comedy and mishaps, the connection between Maggie and Leo just keeps simmering, and it's one of those slow burns that makes you want to shake them and yell, “Kiss already!”

If you're in the mood for a festive rom-com that gives you plenty of laughs, a few teary moments, and a lot of heart, We Three Kings is a perfect pick. It’s like sitting down with a warm cup of cocoa, except with more baby foxes, sarcastic humor, and mistletoe moments that’ll leave you grinning like a fool.

I love Kristen Bailey's books and I have read them all. We Three Kings is her latest book and her second with a festive theme. This author creates such wonderful characters and I loved the underlying theme of friendship that ran through this book. Maggie's relationships with her 3 male colleagues were just so endearing. Although this is a romance novel, I also enjoyed the fact that the book celebrated friendship and platonic love.

Maggie Field is the head of a small IT unit at a London firm. She and her 3 male staffers, all in their late twenties, joined the company within a year of each other four years ago. They are a tight-knit unit and comfortable in each other’s company.

This year, Maggie was planning to spend Christmas alone, but Leo, Frank, and Jasper wouldn’t allow that - they worked out a plan so that she would come stay with each of them over the holidays.

Right before the company closed for Christmas, however, HR called Maggie up from her basement office and told her they were downsizing and she must pick one of her colleagues to let go. She couldn’t bear to think of losing any of them, and her reluctance only became stronger after having a wonderful time sharing the holidays with them and their families.

She loved them all - and maybe thought of Leo more than as just a colleague - how could she solve her dilemma?

Evaluation: This rom-com has lots of laughs, lots of heart, and will resonate with many in similar office situations.

Another smash romance story by the talented Kristen Bailey. I've been a big fan of Kristen Bailey's writing for a while & We Three Kings did not disappoint. A lovely holiday romance with hilarious characters, great one-liners, a small amount of passion, & plenty of romantic swoon. I absolutely adore how each of Kristen Bailey's stand-alone novels have a character tie into another of her stories. A fun little Easter egg to catch if you've read other stories of hers.
Thank you, #NetGalley, for allowing me to read We Three Kings by Kristen Bailey. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book on #NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own, but please add this fantastic holiday romance story to your TBR list.

Kristen Bailey is the queen of hilarious banter and is one of my favorite romcom authors. I absolutely loved this! Funny + sweet + very little spice + some Christmas-y business = perfect!

One gripe: The "Fake dating just got real" cover tagline is incorrect and misleading. Maggie (very unconvincingly) fake-dates her coworker/friend Frank for one wedding and is pretty much immediately busted. She doesn't fake date Jasper (gay, in a serious relationship), or Leo (the love interest). People (me) feel strongly about their preferred tropes, and I think a fake dating trope should only be called out if the love interests are the fake daters who then turn into real daters. /gripe

We Three Kings is a funny workplace romcom that had me laughing throughout. While reading, it gave me vibes similar to the movie Four Christmases.

Maggie, who had planned to spend the holidays alone, ends up getting “adopted” by her three work colleagues—Jasper, Leo, and Frank. Determined not to let her spend Christmas by herself, they invite her along to join their holiday festivities.

However, just before leaving, Maggie gets some unexpected news from HR: she has to let someone from her team go. Faced with the challenge of spending the next week with her best friends who are her work colleagues, she’s unsure how to break the news.

Despite the difficult situation, Maggie makes the most of her holiday. We Three Kings had me chuckling from start to finish. It’s funny, witty, and even has a sprinkle of romance.

This was my first read by Kristen Bailey and it will definitely not be my last! I addore her writing.

This book had everything you could want from a cozy christmas story! It was cute, twists, friendships, family dynamics, humor and obviously some romance! It definitely got me into a Christmas spirit (even though i am a bit early since its only September haha)

The dialog and plot were structured nicely and it was easy to follow which I liked a lot.

Bailey, I completely adore your books. This was no exception. It made me chuckle and I loved every one of the characters. There was so much joy and love in it, and although I figured out which choice Maggie would make, it didn’t matter. Maggie was just lovely, doing everything for those around her, and getting so much back in return. Reading this made me believe in the power of kindness, and in hugs! There isn’t anything negative to say about this story, I just want to read it again.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

3.5 stars. This was an ARC from NetGalley. This was a cute quick holiday romance. Overall, it stayed fairly traditional to the typical romance plotlines and the ending was predictable, but I enjoyed it none the less. The story moved alone quickly and the characters were quirky and enjoyable. They felt like real people. I haven't read this author before, but I would explore their catalog when I am needing a light easy read. #netgalley #holidayromance #workfamily #ITnerds #wethreekings

This was cute. The plot was a very original concept, which is rare in books these days! I loved getting to know each guy’s family and get that behind-the-scenes look at where they came from and what makes them tick. Maggie was very likable. The first half could have been paced a bit better, but overall this was an enjoyable read.

Reading this book, I realized why I typically don't like holiday romances. I find them often to be forced - the focus is on the holiday aspect, with minimal development of the storyline. I'm happy to report that is NOT the case with this book. The author wrote a well developed story of a woman who manages a team of IT specialists, and the friendship they have built (plus a romance!), the tough decision she faces, and the holiday is woven into the story as they all invite her to spend part of her holiday with them (rather than being alone while her parents travel!). This was a fun and enjoyable read full of likeable characters and a sweet romance. Yes, read this during the holiday season if you want, but know this book stands up with a solid storyline any time of the year!
