This was an absolutely adorable Christmas read filled with friendship, love and coworkers/friends who become family.
I'll admit- it took me a couple of chapters to actually get into this book. I wasn't feeling the nerdy IT characters, but once I got to know Frank, Jasper and Leo a little more, I fell in love with them the way Maggie did. Instead of spending Christmas alone, each of Maggie's coworkers offer to spend part of the holiday with her. Being Frank's wedding date was a hoot, especially the lost and found coat and Maggie's scathing comments to Frank's sisters. Spending the holidays with Jasper was just as fun (swoon to Miles and the fox!). However, Leo was my favorite of all. A longtime crush that lead to a fiery hot holiday romance was the perfect ending to Maggie's Christmas with her three kings.
I also loved the Christmas Eve appearance from some of Kristen Bailey's previous characters!!

I really joyed this book, it was great fun and romped along at a good speed! it was very amusing, lots of fun random characters along the way but the storyline kept to its plan and the ending was perfect. I would highly recommend this book x

I absolutely loved this book! The four main characters are all fantastic, and I was especially captivated by Maggie's relationships with each of them. As she spends time with them in their natural environments, you can really see her understanding deepen, and it adds such a rich layer to the story.
Maggie serves as the supervisor for a close-knit IT team in a big corporation. Together with Frank, Jasper, and Leo, they’ve spent the last four years not just working, but thriving as a unit. Their shared sense of humor and passion for technology makes them a dynamic crew. However, the unfortunate reality is that they're often overlooked by the company, missing out on the extravagant Christmas party that everyone else is attending. So, Maggie takes matters into her own hands; she decides to plan their own festive celebration in November. It’s during this cozy gathering that the guys discover Maggie will be spending Christmas solo, prompting them to invite her to join their families for the holiday.
Things take an interesting turn when Maggie learns that Frank needs a plus-one for his sister’s wedding. She willingly agrees to accompany him as a friend, but the dynamics shift dramatically when she finds out he has told everyone she’s his girlfriend! Frank's only motivation? To put a stop to his family's teasing about his single status. Going along with it for his sake, Maggie finds herself navigating an unexpected romantic conundrum. When she notices the chemistry between Frank and his old friend Norah, she encourages him to come clean. After all, why not see where things might lead for him and Norah?
The relationship between Maggie and Leo was another highlight for me. Leo has silently harbored feelings for her from a distance, and it’s only after a drunken night at the Christmas party that things take an unexpected turn. Waking up in Leo’s bed, Maggie realizes there’s been a shift in their dynamic. The way this blossoming romance unfolds feels so genuine and relatable, making it all the more enjoyable to witness.
Overall, this story is a delightful exploration of friendship, love, and the importance of connection. I found myself cheering for each character as they navigated their journeys!

I absolutely loved this everyday workplace book. We went on a journey to experience events with all of the office mates and gradually got more and more invested in their lives. A wonderful read.

I really enjoyed the premise of this book. The characters were funny and amusing to read about. First time reading anything by this author but will definitely look into other books written by them in the future. A nice romance for the holidays that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Wonderful story, great character development, great writing! Highly recommend this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it

I really enjoyed this book. I thought all four main characters were great and I really liked the relationship Maggie had with each of them and the way she began to understand them more as she spent time with them in their natural environments.
Maggie is the supervisor of a small IT team in a large company. She's worked with Frank, Jasper and Leo for the last 4 years. They all work well together, they have a similar sense of humour and of course, they love all things tech so they make a great team but unfortunately, they're often forgotten about by the company they work for so they weren't invited to the fancy Christmas party like everyone else. Maggie decides to throw their own Christmas party in November and this is when the guys find out Maggie will be spending Christmas on her own, so they intervene and have her spending time with Jasper and Leo at their families homes.
When Maggie finds out Frank needs to bring a plus one to his sister's wedding, she agrees to go with him as a friend but at the last minute she finds out Frank has told everyone she's his girlfriend. He has no ulterior motive behind it - he just wants his family to stop teasing him for being single. She goes along with it to help him out and when she sees the spark between Frank and his old friend Norah, she pushes him to tell Norah the truth so they can see where things might go.
I thought the relationship between Maggie and Leo was really well done as well. He's loved her from afar for so long and she's never noticed it but suddenly things change after she gets drunk at the Christmas party and ends up sleeping in Leo's bed. It felt like it all happened organically and as it would in real life.
There were a few laugh out loud moments throughout the book which I loved, especially when Frank is involved. He's so innocent and easily shocked.
Thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

Maggie has cultivated a supportive work family and appreciates each of the three guys who all work closely together in their IT basement. She has until after the festive period to decide which one she should make redundant and spends her holiday making the hardest decision (via a family wedding, sabotaging a fox hunt and some major flirty vibes) Cute parallels with Far from the Madding Crowd (my all-time classic) and very nicely finished with a Christmas bow.

A lovely Christmas read about family, friendships and more. An author I’d like to read more from too. Recommend picking up her books when you see them.

This was such a fun, cute Christmas read! I adored the friendship between our 4 main characters. You could really feel the love they had created within their little family. It was a little cheesy and predictable but that's what Christmas romances are supposed to be. All in all, a really fun festive read perfect for the holidays!

A cozy winter read that explores relationships and friendships and the dynamics of these connections. I found myself rooting for one of the three kings in particular the whole book! All the warm feels from this one!

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I started this book in December and what a fun book it was to read during Christmas time. All the characters were very likable. Each of them had a unique personality and it was just really fun reading about Maggie’s time with Frank, Jasper and Leo. And I must say I love the ending! This would make a really cute Christmas movie!

I can always count on Kristen Bailey to provide a good laugh and a fun holiday romance. If you are looking for a quick, fun read during the holiday season - look no further. The characters were charming, there is humor and a great plot that moves fast. You'll feel some tension but no explicit spice as this book is as much a story about friends as it also is a romance. I hope KB plans to come out with another holiday read next year because she's definitely on my auto-read list. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Book Review
This story took place from November, around Thanksgiving, to the beginning January, around Epiphany. It also is broken up into 5 parts.
Part 1 we meet the group of work friends Maggie, Leo, Frank, and Jasper. Decided to spend the holiday split a month the 3 and right before finds out she has to lay one of them off
Parts 2 Maggie plays a fake girlfriend for Frank (tells the truth so true love can prevail)
Parts 3 Maggie goes as friends with Jasper (warning Cute baby foxes make an appearance)
Part 4 Maggie and Leo spend time together (major mom humor when they babysit..if you've ever breastfed you'll understand)
Part 5 The Decision has to be made who to layoff.
This story was really wholesome and you find yourself really falling for the characters. Knowing she has to make the decision will leave you on the edge of your seat to see what she will do.
Book Synopsis
Maggie Fields loves her job as head of IT at a financial firm, and her three geeky but lovable work buddies. And when they invite her to stay with each of them for the holidays, she can’t resist the chance to get to know them better.
But then her boss tells her she has to make one of her beloved team redundant, and Maggie is distraught. Frank’s work is his world, Jasper’s sarcastic humour is everything, and Leo…well, he’s talented, professional, confusingly attractive, dependable, and funny… Maggie definitely doesn’t want to lose him.
With her career and her heart on the line, Maggie sets off on the Christmas adventure of a lifetime, from playing a fake girlfriend at a lavish wedding, to rescuing baby foxes on a posh country estate, to chasing a very confused donkey on Christmas Day in the Lake District. She can’t ignore the sparks between her and Leo – but she also can’t avoid her dilemma.
Can she find a way to keep her work family together, and maybe even find true love under the mistletoe?

This was an adorable Christmas romance. This book follows Maggie a IT boss who finds herself alone for Christmas. Her employees determined she should not spend Christmas alone make a plan to take her to their homes throughout the holidays. The writing and characters in this book were amazing it felt so cozy and the characters I did not want to end. This book was funny I definitely laughed out loud a few times. The only thing was I wished there was a little more romance in this one , while I enjoyed the time with Jasper and Frank I kind of wish Leo was there throughout the book. This is my first book by this author but won’t be my last. I would like to thank NetGalley and the publishers for a chance to read this book for an honest review.

I like a workplace romance but the power dynamics introduced by the fact that Maggie is the boss of the three friends, the introduction of a romance, and the overhanging drama that she will inevitably have to fire one of the people who were kind enough to welcome her to their holiday celebrations it wasn't as feel-good as it could have been.

I loved Kristen Bailey’s Five Gold Rings book last holiday. I just couldn’t get into this book in the same way. I liked the whole spending time with three friends in their element but not the boss and employee angle.

This book really would make a great Hallmark movie. It would be one of the better ones too with likable characters and lots of humor and heart. I liked all three "kings" and appreciated that there wasn't a love triangle (square?). The friendships were great and a real highlight. I'd even say they were more important to the story than the actual romance.
I read an ARC of this book from NetGalley. All comments are my own.

The perfect way to spend a cold day inside. The cozy holiday vibes were great. The characters had the perfect amounts of fun-loving nerdiness. And, there was the perfect touch of holiday cheer to bring in the end of the holiday season. I highly recommend this one!

Thanks for the opportunity to read this advanced copy. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The relationship between the IT dept was so fine. Maggie was so much more than a boss as shown when the 3 coworkers want to make sure she is not alone for Christmas. Their various adventures and the development of her relationship with Leo was so good. Loved this book!
