All the books in the Blackwell Belles series have been building up to this – Willow’s story and that Cowgirl Hall of Fame ceremony performance for the five sisters’ self-absorbed mom, Flora. All of Willow’s older sisters have hidden their association with the Blackwell Belles, including from their friends, coworkers, neighbors, and – at least until Flora shows up – the men they eventually fall in love with. But in A Cowgirl’s Christmas Reunion, author Cari Lynn Webb steps out of the pattern and treats us to a hero who has always known about Willow’s trick riding past. In fact, the reason that Nolan and Willow aren’t together when our story begins might be the thing Flora should have apologized for the most where Willow is concerned.
Nolan and Willow are a sweet and swoony match, nudged back together as a ‘fake relationship’ to boost his grieving stepmom’s joy for the holidays. But their long ago feelings for each other haven’t mellowed with time, so be prepared for some delicious sparks (oh how I love repressed feelings that just can’t stay repressed) and some grin-inducing scenes. I enjoyed watching these two together, whether they were playing up the ‘fake dating’ angle or giving in to what their hearts are longing for, and I loved the Christmas setting as a backdrop for it all.
Also high on my list of things to love about A Cowgirl’s Christmas Reunion is the influx of Blackwell Belles and their newly minted significant others (and families, for some of them) on Nolan’s ranch. Getting to ‘see’ them all together and interacting – also something we haven’t seen yet in this miniseries – was truly a pleasure and a great reward for those of us who’ve read each book. I did feel like Flora deserved to be called to task more than she has so far for all the ways she interfered in their sibling relationships and stunted their dreams outside of the Belles (her dream), especially where Willow is concerned, but considering that she just is who she is and is unlikely to change, I’ll take it! (Seriously though…I had started to sorta like Flora, but she stoops to some new ‘it’s all about me’ lows in this book. And while she does redeem herself slightly in Willow’s case, I still will ultimately not be harboring any warm fuzzies for this show mom who can’t quite give up the spotlight.)
Bottom Line: A Cowgirl’s Christmas Reunion by Cari Lynn Webb wraps up the Blackwell Belles miniseries by giving us all five sisters – and their significant others – in one place, along with Denny, Big E, a growing passel of kids/tweens, and of course the girls’ parents. While it also leaves things open for another Blackwells series (yes please!!!!), this sweet romance gives readers a satisfying ending for these particular five and a knowledge that they’ll each live happily-ever-after. My heart was in my throat several times throughout this emotional roller coaster of a story (injuries, fire, dangerous stunts, FLORA) but more often than not my heart – and my face – were smiling at the beauty and strength of family and true love. I can’t wait to read about whoever Denny & Big E decide to interfere with next, and I hope there are many more – endless – Blackwell stories to come!

A Cowgirl's Christmas Reunion by Cari Lynn Webb, book five in the Blackwell Belles series, brings the conclusion to this multi-author venture, of sisters who have been estranged for the past decade. Willow Blackwell, the youngest of the Blackwell Belles, has felt lost and forgotten by both her feelings of guilt and the loss of her sisters, after the accident which caused their act to fall apart. She has her goals in life, one of which is not to fall in love and be hurt by loss. Nolan Elliot, a bull rider and her first love, has returned home for Christmas with his family. Willow keeps her horses at her friend’s barn, Nolan’s stepsister. When the barn burns down, Willow is forced to move her horses to Nolan's ranch. Nolan walked away years ago when Willow's mother pushed him to leave Willow and let her shine as a Blackwell Belle. As Willow's grandmother, great-uncle and mother arrive, the pressure is now on her to perform for her mother's introduction into the hall of fame; and the drama begins.
Nolan and Willow hadn't grown up with normal Christmases, so Nolan's family totally goes all in for the holiday. Big E and Grandma Denny, along with Nolan’s stepmother, conspire to push these two together; reminding them why they are perfect for each other. Having all the sisters arrive on the ranch adds chaos to the already upheaval going on between Willow and Nolan. It might take a miracle, or it might take some talking, or maybe even some good laughing to get the sisters reconciled. Not everything works out the way Flora, the Belles’ mother, wants, especially when Willow falls off a horse. Nolan is hero worthy as he makes sure that she is okay and stays with her during her recovery.
I have loved how all of the stories in this series have been about each sister coming to terms with their mother's actions towards them during their touring days. Also, how they walked away from each other after the act broke up many years before and now the sisters are meeting again after years apart. The reunion part had some angst, but was so sweet. I loved how the girls worked through their issues, being there for Willow as she went through some difficult times. Willow and Nolan were both at a crossroad about their future and needed to decide what they were going to do with their futures. I recommend this book as well as the entire series.

I really enjoyed this book. I’m a sucker for a cowboy romance and this one was no different. The plot was wonderful!
Willow has shut her family out of her life for years. Now she has a chance to mend fences. Also to reconnect with a boy she had a crush on. Final book of the series.
The final book in the Blackwell Belles series brings long-awaited resolutions, focusing on Willow’s story and her reunion with her sisters after years of estrangement. At the heart of the tale is Willow’s second-chance romance with Nolan, her teenage love, whose relationship was thwarted by her controlling mother during the peak of the Belles’ fame.
Willow and Nolan reconnect as adults, both at pivotal crossroads in their lives, and their journey is full of heartfelt moments as they grapple with the past and determine their future together. The reunion is sweet but not without challenges, as Willow navigates personal struggles while finding support in her sisters, who work through their own unresolved issues stemming from their mother’s choices and the dissolution of their touring act.
A highlight of the story is the warmth and love shown by Nolan’s family, especially as they embrace both Nolan and Willow during the holidays. Having missed out on traditional Christmases growing up, the festive setting adds a heartwarming touch, with Nolan’s family going “all in” to create meaningful memories.
This holiday-themed conclusion delivers closure on multiple fronts—addressing family healing, rekindled love, and personal growth—making it a fitting end to a series about sisterhood, forgiveness, and new beginnings.
Really cute book. Wrapped everything up nicely from the rest of the series. This MIGHT be my favorite of the blackwell series.
Filled to the brim with sentimentality and love! The final book in The Blackwell Belles series by Harlequin Heartwarming was Willow's story and brought drama galore. I wanted a bit more to the big resolution fleshing out between sisters, but I did enjoy the series as a whole. The characters in this particular book were fairly well developed and the angst was high. I enjoyed the reunion between Willow and Nolan and how his family surrounded them and brought a holiday to life that neither of them thought they were up for. I hope to see more of the Blackwells down the road!
I recommend this book as well as the entire series and the Blackwell series that came before this one to anyone that enjoys a close-knit buttinsky family with lots of drama behind the scenes who come forward and rally around each other as each sibling/cousin finds true love.
Willow Blackwell is the youngest of the Belle's and has been on her own since the break-up. Nolan Elliot a bull rider from her past is in town for Christmas with his family. Willow is friends with his stepsister and boards her horses at her barn. After the barn burns Willow has to move her horses to Nolan's ranch. Nolan walked away years ago when Willow's mother pushed him to leave and let Willow shine as a Blackwell Belle. As Willow's grandmother, great-uncle and mother show up in town to push her to perform for her mother's introduction into the hall of fame of course the drama starts.
Loved this book. Let me say this is book #5 in the Blackwell Belles. I’m always sad to see one of the Blackwell books come to an end. Willow Blackwell is the last sister that Big E, her Grandma Denny, her mother come out to see about getting her sisters back for a performance. All the sisters agree, but one thing from the other. What does Willow want? She’s a make-up artist and a darn good one. She loves her job, but when her family comes she must choose.
There’s a cowboy Nolan Elliot who takes her breathe away, but she is out of sorts. Grandma Denny and Big E give her a heart to heart that made me so happy. Well her sisters too.
A must read as are the others.
