I’m a fan of Debra Webb and her single title thrillers. Her books are well written and her characters so real I feel like I know them. Her plots are always well drawn and her pacing keeps the story moving. I’ve never been disappointed.

Webb’s early career began with Harlequin. The Colby Agency series is her longest running. Out of curiosity, I decided to read her upcoming short novel, A Colby Christmas Rescue. The book can be read as a stand alone, so I was able to delve right in. The author’s writing skills shine, the characters are realistic, and the story is fast paced. Readers who like Romantic Suspense might enjoy this holiday tale and the Colby series too.

I haven't read a Colby Agency Intrigue in so long, so I was super excited to see the new generation begin! As always, Deb did not let me down with this wonderful story of family, dedication, deceit, and the idea that everyone deserves the same treatment regardless of their means. This was a more unusual Intrigue where the romance was rather nonexistent, but you were too busy trying to figure out the twisting ups and downs of the mystery and why Jamie's brother had been kidnapped, why they wanted Jamie to kidnap the doctor, and who it was behind it all. So well done, and the joyful holiday celebration with Victoria at the end was all we needed to read to know this new generation will have the Colby Agency well in hand.

I loved Jamie and Poe. The storyline was very mysterious with lots of intrigue.Jamie is a very interesting character. I’m looking forward to seeing more of her and Poe. Some Christmas joy was sprinkled in here and there along with a lovely Christmas ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
