I do a lot of driving and always looking for an audiobook that helps the time pass quickly. This was just that! Kept me listening and losing myself in the story and the miles passed by quickly! Love it!
I love Sarah Morgenthaler's writing style. It's so laid-back and personal. Every character feels real.
Who doesn’t love a fake marriage rom com? And even better, it’s a Christmas rom com, full of holiday magic and festivities. I loved the storyline of this book - it kept my interest even if it was the cookie cutter formula of the trope. The chemistry between Guy and Sienna is perfect and adding Emma into the mix just seals the deal. Awesome seasonal read!
I have never read a Sarah Morgenthaler novel but loved the cover of The Christmas You Found Me. What in the whirlwind, rollercoaster Christmas novel did I read? (In a good way). This one gave me all the feels which is hard because I do not really have strong emotions when reading a novel, especially a holiday one. I loved all the characters and was rooting for each and ever one of them. I was invested in this story and count not put it down. Literally did nothing else all day long but listen to this one. Loved, Loved, Loved it! This novel does have Christmas in the title, but it does not have all the happy, nostalgic Christmas tropes you would expect to read. This is one I would recommend to everyone, all year long, and not just during the holiday season.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for my gifted audiobook copy.
Refreshing holiday story but it did feel like way too much happened in such a short time line that made it hard to fully buy into the story, but overall a great holiday story. It is refreshing to see some deeper elements done in a way that wasn’t overwhelming and it is also refreshing to see kids in a romance book- many authors shy away from this and it was nice to see.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this title!
This isn't very Christmas-y per se, unless you find kidney failure in a 4yo cheerful but then I'd have questions for you. However, I really liked it because I like depressing reads, they usually allow for a deeper exploration of feelings and human nature.
I found the relationship between the two very tender and heartwarming at times, I also love forced proximity romance books because I'm a sucker for the little everyday moments the characters share which were very much a thing here. Now the novel focuses a lot on the relationship with Emma, the kid, and she was the sweetest cutie pie EVER, I loved how the family dynamic slowly started to build up and evolve, and despite the heavier themes, the setting still conveyed the winter atmosphere pretty well and the found family they end up becoming is, in nature, very Christmas-y, at least to me. I also really enjoyed the focus on the FMC's job as a cattle rancher, it's not something I'm very familiar with but I felt like I got a good glimpse of this world with this book.
I'd recommend this one if you liked Hannah Bonam-Young's books, they have that same cozy feeling, although maybe a little less fun, and both authors have a similar way of writing their relationships. 4.5 ⭐️
The Christmas You Found Me by Sarah Morgenthaler is very Hallmark style holiday romance. The story is about a woman whose friends put a fake job ad for a husband out. After a single father with a sick daughter applies for the job, the when accepts and they begin their "marriage of purpose" as they call it. This was a very cheesy plot and it was easy to guess every twist from a mile away. Despite that, this was still a great romance. I laughed out loud, I swooned, and I even cried. I can't wait to read something else by the author soon.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.
If books had a voice, this one would be soft spoken to the point of not being able to hear anything they're saying.
I understand and welcome the fact that this is a character driven story but the events that occurred were so boring and monotonous, and where was the angst? the tension?
All I got was uninteresting, monotonous daily quotidian activities

THE CHRISTMAS YOU FOUND ME
By Sarah Morgenthaler
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️[Absolutely loved it] - out now!
This was such a touching story, it’s the first time a book made me cry in a long time. If you know me, you know I love it when books get out that kind of emotions out of me. I was attached to that little girl Emma and that part near the end of the book nearly broke my heart in pieces. This is more than a sad story though - it has heart and laughter wrapped into it. Highly recommend checking this one out!

"The Christmas You Found Me" is a sweet fake-marriage romance.
Sienna Naples is recently divorced from her childhood sweetheart. Living in the same small town has its drawbacks, but Sienna and her ex-husband come from families who have lived there for generations. So neither are inclined to leave anytime soon.
When Sienna's friend Jess decides to pull a prank and posts a "husband for hire" want ad all over town, Sienna doesn't find it especially funny. What she doesn't expect is for single father Guy Maple to show up to apply for the position. Guy's four-year-old daughter Emma has stage-five chronic kidney disease, and the only way she qualifies for the transplant list is if he can demonstrate the ability to pay for her anti-rejection meds afterward.
Guy and Emma's story touches Sienna's heart, and ultimately, she decides that a marriage of convenience is just the solution Guy and Emma need. What Sienna hadn't expected was how her ex-husband would react to the news, or how easy it is to forget that her marriage isn't real.
I had a hard time putting this story down, and actually read it an afternoon.
Thank you to Sarah Morgenthaler, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for an advance review copy.
This book was the perfect pallet cleanser holiday read. It was so wonderful. It was a nice clean story that pulled at your heart strings. Marriage of convenience and single dad done right. The narrator was wonderful too. Her character changes weren’t annoying.

This was a sweet little read, perfect for the Christmas season. I enjoyed the characters and their little romance, and the narrator did a good job.
I love Sarah Morgenthaler's Moose Springs, Alaska series but didn't even realize when I picked up The Christmas You Found Me that it was the same author. While this still had humor like her other books, it was also a lot more serious and emotional which threw me for a loop a bit. After reading her acknowledgments section I realized why, and my heart just breaks for her. That being said, her heart and soul seemed to be poured into these pages, and I was extremely close to an ugly cry all thanks to that little girl Emma.
The audiobook is narrated by Haley Taylor, and even though I wouldn't call her narration perfect, it was still really good, and it made this book hit even harder for me. I loved Sienna and Guy, and the way a marriage of convenience turned into something so beautiful. There is a hint of spice, but this is mostly a closed door romance which I thought was perfect since so much focus was on Emma's kidney disease. The animals in the story also stole the show, and I loved that Sienna's dog was such an integral part. Read this if you believe in Christmas miracles, the power of love, and love books that make you feel all the things.
This was a must read for me, I adored Sarahs other books and was so happy to see she was back with another. And she absolutely did not disappoint! This story is so sweet and deep and makes you feel so many emotions without completely shattering you, but very close to! The importance on community, kindness love and the simples things in life are expressed so much in this book. Its also a great Christmas book with lots of holiday magic! I loved it and will be highly recommending it!
The Christmas You Found Me broke me. Part of it was a me thing. My mom has dementia and is at the stage where she does not always remember me so some of the stuff in this book hit me like a ton of bricks. The author did such an amazing job expressing the situations and all the feels that come with it. I felt like it was me going through some of the things that the mc went through. I might have sobbed though. I loved this book so much. I was rooting for our main characters the whole time. It starts out with a laugh. Sienna's divorce is final and her bestie celebrates by putting up a husband wanted add for Sienna in the town newpaper! Everyone is getting a good laugh until someone answers it. Guy is desperate. His four year old little girl, Emma, is in kidney failure and needs to be on the transport list. A stable marriage with a stable job would put her right on the list. How can Sienna say no? There are so many emotions in this book. I laughed and cried and got mad! I was all over the place. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audio arc in exchange for my honest review.

🎧Loved the audio! The narrator was great at both voices.
I want to thank thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version.
The symposis sounded interesting, and I loved the cover. But this book was a huge left down. It is extremely unrealistic. I feel like this book would have worked better if it was set in the pioneer times. I like the mail order brides and .marriage of convenience type books when they are period pieces. But a modern take just doesn't work. I think what she did in this book is very illegal? And it was very liberal, woke and feminist. The main character drove me crazy and when they brought out they/them pronouns and how wonderful the guy is for using them, and that it where I am done with the book. Bring back male writers and the books from the past.
The Christmas You Found Me is a fake romance/contract marriage romance that is as heart-wrenching as it is creative. Guy and Sienna's slow-build romance is lovely, and the entire audiobook was a delight to listen to.

This book was a tear jerker! I loved the story in this book with a marriage of convenience than turned into a real romance. I loved Guy and Sienna and Emma. They were amazing characters and I loved the setting of the book. I cannot get over how great this story was and it felt like a very unique romance storyline. I loved this book.
This was a sweet romance book between two strangers who get into a marriage of convenience. The mmc's daughter was cute and i mostly felt bad for her illness. I don't enjoy reading about medical problems especially in romance books so that was a surprise for me that this book had that. I was expecting a light romance read but this book was more focused on the little girl's illness which didn't work for me.
