This beautiful story can be read and enjoyed anytime during the year. Christmas is a part of it but it’s mostly a compelling story of love and family. It deals with some serious and tough topics like renal failure and dementia but in thoughtful ways. This one gave me all the feels and I couldn’t have loved it more. The narrator was as lovely as the story itself.

I absolutely loved this novel! Wow, it was such a good read, both entertaining and poignant. I loved the characters in this book, they were easy to root for and want the best for. They also were believably compatible. The marriage of convenience trope in this romance was refreshing and well done. I can't say I have read another marriage of convenience with the same idea/plot line. The length of the novel was great, though the time period was short, the reader really feels the amount of time and connection the characters all have with each other, making it feel as if they have been with and around each other for longer than they truly have been. A testament to the reasons why some people deeply connect forever in 6 months and others take years to come to the same decision/realization. I will read more by Sarah Morgenthaler.

I enjoyed the audio version of this book and didn't feel like I missed anything by not physically reading it.

The Christmas You Found Me
4.5 ⭐️

Fair warning, if you’re looking for a light and cozy Christmas story, this is not it. But if you’re looking for a book full of real characters with a lot of depth, this is for you!

Sienna is newly divorced when her friend puts an add in the paper to look for her new husband as a joke. Guy answers the ad, primarily hoping to get healthcare for his daughter who is sick with chronic kidney disease.

This story was so beautiful to watch the three of them slowly grow closer. The ending had me sobbing but don’t worry we will get a happy ending! If you’ve read Sarah’s other Christmas romcoms, this is definitely a lot heavier than those!

Thanks to @netgalley for this audiobook!

4.5 rounded up

Narrator: the narrator was an excellent choice for this story. She brought out the emotion throughout the book and fit the main character.

Story: I adored the characters throughout this book. They were funny, caring and enjoyable to read. Readers will see the relationship between the two main characters grow throughout the story.

It was a well written story. I was drawn in from
The beginning and could picture the ranch and what it would look like in the winter months. While the story is set around Christmas time, it isn’t a big focus.

Warning: do not read the ending in public unless you want people to see you as a crying mess.

Check TW. This story does involve a child going through kidney failure and dialysis. There is mention of dementia.

This was a wonderful read. Highly recommend.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook.

This feel good holiday romance has found family, fake marriage and Christmas cheer. I was a little thrown off at the beginning of this audiobook when the two main characters decide to get married within 10% of the book starting 👀 However, the fast start allowed Sarah an opportunity to weave a heart warming and tender tale about Sarah & Guy as they create a family together with Guy's 4 year old daughter, Emma, who has stage five kidney disease.

The audiobook narrator does a wonderful job bringing this story to life. I appreciated her expressiveness, pacing and voice for this novel.

Thank you Dreamscape media for the ALC

All in my feelings writing this review. What a rollercoaster of emotion I experienced listening to this story.

The narrator, Haley Taylor, did a phenomenal job. Her delivery and emotion throughout was perfectly fitting for Sienna's perspective.

This was marriage of convenience, found family, sweet little holiday closed-door romance. While all marriage of convenience romances tend to move quickly because of the nature of the deal, I think this story could have benefitted by the timeline being spread out a bit more. The way it was written, had the author not mentioned it only being two weeks since meeting, I would have believed more time had passed by.

I felt hopeful and heartbroken at the same time throughout this entire story. There were perfectly placed bits of humor for comedic relief and overall heavy situation, and I highly recommend this as a sweet winter read. If you like Sarah Adams, definitely check out this author!

Sienna is dreading Christmas this year with being newly divorced and her father’s memory all but gone. Turning down the solo serious applicant, Guy from a prank ad has her feeling guilty for this dad and his ill daughter. With a change of heart a marriage of convenience takes place. Learning to run a failing ranch ,being married to a stranger as well as caring for a seriously ill little girl is life changing. Guy and Emma are the family she needs to start a new life. When it was down to the wire for Emma and her failing health Sienna realized how much she came to love Guy and Emma in such a short time. Miracles do happen at Christmastime. Thank you to NetGalley and dreamscape media for this free advanced copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Slow burn, fade to black, small town ranch, fake marriage, found family, christmas.

Sienna is a recently divorced rancher who enters into a fake marriage, or "marriage of purpose " with Guy. Guy's daughter Emma needs health insurance for a kidney transplant and dialysis. When Guy and Emma move Sienna makes a connection with both Emma and Guy.

Emotional story with a HEA. 4 instead of 5 stars because I think the relationships moved too quickly. They would have had the same ending, just moved too quickly for me.

This was the fastest 5 stars i have given in 2024.
As my first book by this author, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I sat down and ended up reading this in 1 sitting and absolutely fell in love with the story, the characters, the writing… all of it.

This is an absolutely heartbreaking and heartfelt story about a found family from marriage of convenience. It is a warm hug, it’s truly so well done.

It will have you giggling and kicking your feet, crying and jumping for joy by the end.

I cannot even express how much i loved this book.
Definitely check trigger warnings as this one can be tough to read in parts and your mental health is the most important.

the audio was SO well done. It captivated me from start to finish and the writing was delivered in such a beautiful way. I would absolutely recommend the audiobook!

An incredibly moving story of hope, love, new beginnings and miracles. Sienna Naples is a recent divorcee who finds herself lonely at Christmastime at her family's ranch which she solely takes care of now that her parents aren't in the picture. When a friend of the freshly divorced Sienna’s publishes a Husband Wanted ad as a joke, Sienna expects some good natured ribbing from her neighbors and that is about it. Until single father Guy Maple, a stranger, shows up as the result of an ad meant to be a joke. Sienna and Guy found themselves in a marriage shortly after meeting just to help him take care of four-year-old Emma who had chronic kidney disease. The author poured her grief into these pages, and the result is a tender, heart-expanding novel that will stick with me, and the narrator conveyed it all with the utmost emotion and empathy. Highly recommend. Sienna and Guy have such a sweet, sizzly energy. They make such a great husband and wife couple. I absolutely love the relationship between Sienna and Emma. Sienna immediately connected with her new step daughter and it was adorable. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and Sourcebooks Casablanca

5 stars (if I could give more I would)

I loved the Moose Springs series by Sarah Morganthaler and was worried after 3 years that there wasn't going to be more from this author. So when I got this advanced audiobook, I was so excited. And I have to say, that 3 year hiatus was worth it if this is what came out of it. This book really had me immediately in the first chapter, I was already feeling deeply emotional from the first meeting of Guy. You could feel how deeply he cared and worried for his daughter's health and I was already in love with the man. How could Sienna not immediately marry him?? And for this book to span only 2 weeks while making the reader fully believe they are in love by the end is pure talent by the author. I cried (or nearly cried) so many times in this book to the point I was starting to worry if this was actually a romance with an HEA. Gosh I loved this book so much.

OK but also this narrator was FANTASTIC. The voice she chose for Guy was beyond perfect. The quiet, low, somewhat breathy and pained voice for Guy felt exactly right for a man struggling through life just to take care of his sick daughter. The voice while pained was also so obviously full of love, I was so impressed. Such a talent and I would listen to every audiobook this narrator does.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to NetGalley and the publisher for this ALC!

I wasn’t expecting such an emotional, heartfelt story!

Guy will do anything to help his 4 year old daughter who is waiting for a kidney transplant including answer an advertisement for a “husband for hire” that was meant to be a joke by one of Sienna’s friends. Once Sienna learns about little Emma’s situation and sees how much Guy is willing to sacrifice for his daughter she makes a crazy decision to do what she can to help Emma get her Kidney Transplant.

It’s a Marriage of Convenience story set in a contemporary romance setting that was written so well - it just worked!

Sienna is recently divorced and running the ranch on her own. Having Guy and Emma at the ranch with her brings a joy that Sienna has never really felt before.

The slow burn romance is perfect and little Emma will steal your heart!

What you’ll find:
Marriage of convenience
An adorable 4 year old
Dialysis
Ranch animals
An emotional support dog
A true partnership
Bakery treats
Slow burn romance
Healing
Holiday activities

Make sure to have a box of tissues nearby! It’s emotional but worth it!

The audio narrator was fantastic. She fit the vibe of the story perfectly.

Romance content: fade to black

This is one time I'm so glad I went into a book blind because it took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. Sienna and Guy found themselves in a marriage shortly after meeting just to help him take care of four-year-old Emma who had chronic kidney disease.

I loved that they were open with their expectations for the marriage from the onset. Even though they were literally strangers to each other, they soon became a unit and I was right there with Sienna as she fell for Guy and his little girl.

This is by no means a lighthearted holiday read. That said, I loved every single part of it 🥹 The narrator's performance was amazing, capturing all the emotions and characters well.

I can't wait for the next release from this author. Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ALC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 stars!

UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I loved "The Christmas You Found Me" by Sarah Morgenthaler. It thawed my cold, dead heart! Honestly, if this wasn't a Christmas book, I might feel differently, but I just loved this book. Technically, it's a bit bonkers in terms of its plot, but I don't care. It tickled and tingled my soul. It's such an emotional roller coaster...you will NEED tissues close by when you read this one because it is NOT a lighthearted holiday romp. There are some jokes in this story, but it is a drama through and through. I loved the characters all around. Sienna is a strong woman from a line of strong women. She is recently divorced, and her relationship with her ex was not good. Guy is a single father to a daughter named Emma, who is four years old and needs a new kidney. When Sienna's friends take out a joke ad in their small town's local newspaper, Guy earnestly answers the ad because he is looking for someone who can get him better health insurance for Emma's potential kidney transplant. Sienna agrees, and the two of them are married to help Emma. Sienna never expected to slowly, surely, fall in love with both Guy AND Emma. Each chapter of this book is teeming with sweetness, emotion, discovery, and heart. I couldn't stop reading this book and devoured it quickly. I liked the audiobook narration by Haley Taylor, too. She brings these characters to life! I cannot wait for what Sarah Morgenthaler writes next! You're going to want to pick this one up ASAP!

Thank you to NetGalley, Sarah Morgenthaler, and Dreamscape Media for the complimentary ALC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

I've been eagerly awaiting a new novel from Sarah Morgenthaler for ages it seems and this was a cozy, emotional roller coaster ride of a holiday marriage of convenience Christmas miracle type love story sure to delight Hallmark holiday movie lovers!!

Recently divorced and lonely Sienna Naples is the sole owner of her family ranch and isn't feeling very festive this Christmas season. When single father Guy Maple answers her joke of an ad, Sienna impulsively agrees to marry him in order for Guy to be able to prove he can afford the anti-rejection meds his daughter needs if she is able to get the kidney transplant she desperately needs to keep living.

Sienna can't falling in love with Guy's 4 year old daughter Emma and the feelings go both ways as these three quickly form a family over the holidays. While this story takes place over a few short weeks, which feels rather FAST, if you can suspend your belief on the odds of this ever actually happening in real life, the story is sure to make you swoon, cry and sigh in contentment!

Great on audio and my new favorite 2024 holiday read so far. Highly recommended for fans of high drama, closed door romance with tons of emotional depth. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

🎧🎧 Book Review 🎧🎧 I know it’s only September but a part of me was a little bit worried about what I was going to do this December without a new Sarah Morgenthaler book but alas The Christmas You Found Me has arrived and all seems right in the world again. Single dad arrives in a small town determined to do everything he can to help his daughter in kidney failure, including a marriage of convenience to newly divorced Sienna. This book was everything I wanted and more and I promise not to wish away time but I cannot wait to put on my christmas blanket with some hot chocolate and listen to this by the fire with snow falling!

Review is on Goodreads and will be on instagram closer to publication date and on Amazon when published!

WOW! What an amazing crazy story. It started thinking where is this going? Your heart will be warmed, you’ll laugh and cry. Emma, Sierra and Guy will remind you of the beauty in people. Don’t wait to read this one. It is not a typical feel good Christmas story. Thank you Net Galley for the advanced copy of this audio book

This was such a heart warming read. This was a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter's day.

Did I cry? Oh, absolutely.

It was so sweet. It was heart wrenching. I wanted to tear out my own kidney and give it to Emma. 😭❤️

I absolutely love the relationship between Sienna and Emma. Sienna immediately connected with her new step daughter and it was adorable.

Btw, I really loved the calming sweet voice of the narrator. 😊

This is definitely not the average lighthearted rom com and when you read the acknowledgments, you understand why. It’s beautifully written from the heart and full of emotion. The author deftly balances the difficult issues of loss, illness and divorce with moments of whimsy and fun. It’s a slow burn romance, focusing on how Sienna and Guy support each other and Guy’s seriously ill daughter Emma whilst also dealing with the death of a parent. There is something so raw and poignant about this story, that I just know it’s going to stay with me a while.

The narration was wonderful and sensitively brought the story to life.
