If you want a light and fluffy Christmas read, this isn't it. But if you want all the holiday feels with a deeply meaningful and heartfelt story, this is absolutely the ticket. I laughed. I cried a lot. I couldn't wait to see what happened next and I was rooting for the MCs the entire time. Those are all the hallmarks of a great read and I'm so glad this was my first Christmas book of the season. I definitely need to check out more Sarah Morgenthaler books in the future!

Sienna...What a girl with insane grit. I can't imagine ranching on my own in the crazy terrain her property is located in. But she gets up and does the dang thing every day... Probably better than a lot of men and with a LOT less resources thanks to Micah. I really enjoyed witnessing Sienna heal from her divorce, but I enjoyed watching her come into her own and find what was arguably her true destiny all along even more. I think she was just a great FMC and I loved seeing her strength and vulnerability coexist the whole way through.

Guy...What incredible faith this man has! It would be so much easier to be upset at the unfairness of his daughter's condition, but instead, he just fights to give her the best of everything possible. He stepped up when some men would have given up and that's such a testament to his character and absolute adoration for Emma. I enjoyed watching Guy open up and allow his humor to shine through at times. He's just an incredibly genuine and decent man. Top notch book boyfriend, for sure!

Things I loved:

❤️Sienna's besties
❤️Emma
❤️All the animals (and their names)
❤️Making stockings for the animals
❤️Stressercising
❤️The engagement party
❤️The hot spring 🥵
❤️The Christmas festival
❤️The relationship between Sienna and Emma
❤️Micah actually being a decent human being in a couple of instances
❤️The epilogue

⭐⭐⭐⭐.5

Very sweet - and a little heavy - holiday romance. Well written and the narration was good, more so on the female side. Would recommend.

On the one year anniversary of her divorce, Sienna’s friend jokingly puts an ad in the paper looking for a husband. Guy, a desperate man looking for a miracle (and health insurance) for his very ill 4-year-old daughter responds. Despite not actually wanting a husband, Sienna agrees to marry Guy to help Emma. It isn’t long before the love grows among this fake family.
If you’ve been here for a while you probably know I don’t ever read a synopsis. I quite literally judge a book by its cover and that’s how I decide what to read every single time. This book shows that I have not learned my lesson because I was not prepared for the emotional journey this book took me on, especially that last 25%.
This book was incredible. Truly such a beautiful story of an unlikely family who found each other and created the most incredible bond with the magic of the holidays to back it up. There were some very heavy undertones throughout the book making this different from the lighthearted holiday reads I typically gravitate toward. Although I was ugly crying while reading, I did end this story with a warm heart and it has stuck with me since I put it down.
I listened to the audiobook and it truly captivated me. I finished the book in one day while decorating my library because I was so engrossed in the story I didn’t want to stop. Haley Taylor did a phenomenal job with the narration.
Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the advance copies.

This was so enjoyable! I loved the characters so much and seeing them grow closer was the best. While this book is the absolute sweetest, it will also rip your heart out. It’s an emotional one for sure. I wasn’t fully expecting that part but wow, tears for days. The narrator was fantastic and I will be looking for more books read by her.

The Christmas You Found Me is such a heartwarming, emotional and beautiful Christmas romance. While it did break my heart multiple times, it also brought on so much hope and left me smiling. The author truly has a way with words and how she crafted this story to make it absolutely unforgettable. From the start I fell in love with the characters, the setting and the plot of the story.

The characters are absolutely beautiful. They have the biggest hearts, the best of intentions, are so caring towards one another and are honestly the epitome of what a family is, blood or no blood. The lengths each of them went through was absolutely gut wrenching, the moments between father and daughter, step mother and step daughter absolutely warmed my heart. Add on all the Christmas love and cheer, it just made for a wonderful read.

This is in no way an easy book to read as there are some very emotional moments, but it is highly rewarding in the end. The whole message of the book, the storyline is absolutely beautiful. Morgenthaler is a masterful storyteller and I am definitely on the lookout for more from this author.

🎧 The narration by Haley Taylor good. She kept me engaged from start to finish. Her tone and voice were great. The emotions were portrayed well and you could feel them in her voice.

The Christmas You Found Me, by Sarah Morgenthaler, is a heartwarming story of two lost souls, lost for very different reasons. Sienna Naples is the sole descendant of the Naples family in Idaho. Her mother has passed. Her father is suffering from end stage dementia and is in a care home in town. And today her divorce from her husband of ten years is final. In order to keep her ranch in her family Sienna is left with little else than the ranch.

Guy Maple, a single dad with a very sick little girl Emma, is a skilled carpenter and is working in the area so as to be close to the child dialysis center Emma needs as well as her doctors and large hospital in nearby Idaho Falls. When Sienna’s best friend Jess places a husband wanted ad in the local newspaper where she works as well as posting the flyer all over town as a way to lighten the mood, Guy responds in earnest. One of the perks stated in the ad is medical insurance and he dearly needs insurance for Emma in order to remain on the transplant list. So Guy approaches Sienna hat in hand to apply for the job. With an initial negative response, when Sienna thinks about how her life is going nowhere but she has an opportunity to help save the life of a child she makes a quick decision, meeting Guy and Emma at city hall the following morning.

The story then unfolds to include the stresses of ranch living, the joys and trials of raising a small child, love, and loss. This is such a lovely holiday story including a Christmas miracle. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

I listened to the audiobook and absolutely loved everything about it. The narrator is a new favorite for me and I couldn’t believe how much I loved the characters in this book. Get some Kleenex handy, I cried so hard for a couple of parts of the book, when you get there, you’ll know what I’m talking about!! I hope there are more books in this series and I will read them immediately! Highly recommend!!

the setup…
Sienna Naples has finally gotten her divorce, only to find her friends have announced the event in the town newspaper via an ad saying she’s looking for a husband in exchange for helping out on her family Idaho cattle ranch. It’s meant as a joke but when single father Guy Maple shows up with a serious offer, Sienna feels terrible because he’s in desperate need of a union that comes with medical insurance. His four-year old daughter Emma has stage five kidney disease and cannot go on the transplant list without having the means to afford the anti-rejection medications. After first turning him away, she has second thoughts and impulsively accepts his offer. Guy is a skilled construction worker who plans to take his vows seriously. Sienna immediately falls for Emma…and maybe this attractive man might win her heart, too.

the heart of the story…
While this isn’t a traditional Christmas story, it has all of the elements that embody the spirit of the season. I was taken by Guy immediately, his love and devotion for his daughter overwhelming. His entire life is committed to keeping her safe and alive but when he takes those marriage vows, he brings Sienna into that circle, no matter that it’s a marriage of convenience. It’s a cobbled together family and it makes a difference that all three embrace their new relationship.

the narration…
Haley Taylor is new to me but I’m now an instant fan. From her quiet, soft tone and perfectly paced storytelling, she created the perfect listening experience. She was outstanding.

the bottom line…
It’s a very slow burn romance but that felt right as the seriousness of Emma’s health issues were always at the forefront. Despite that, there were so many heart-tugging moments and the family that was hastily created started to gel in ways that also felt natural. I loved everything about this story, including the quirky animals on that ranch. It’s even better knowing it’s the start of a new series. 4.5 stars

The Christmas you Found me by Sarah Morgenthaler

The ink isn’t even dry on her divorce papers but her friend puts an ad in the newspaper to get Sienna a new husband. It was meant to be a joke but for Guy Maple, he is desperate enough to see if it is true. The stability would get his 4 year old daughter in stage 5 kidney failure on the transplant list.

Something in Sienna cracks wide open and they start a marriage of convenience to save a little girl who desperately needs a Christmas miracle.

The book made me cry so hard but don’t worry, it has a HEA and you will feel every emotion working through you by the time you get to the end. I’m not gonna lie. A ton happens in the space of a few weeks. I love a good insta love story but this one was fast even for me.

You won’t not fall in love with Guy. He literally would do anything for his daughter and he is so gentle and kind with Sienna that she doesn’t know how to reconcile who her new husband is compared to the man she was married to before. Emma, his daughter will worm her way into your heart too.

This is the wholesome kind of love that every hopeless romantic dreams of and I couldn’t get enough. The audio was phenomenal.
Definitely worth the read.

Now this is a heartwarming Christmas read that will give you all the feels and leave you happy and smiling. I will be honest, I was pretty worried there wasn’t going to be a happy ending here and was so relieved this book didn’t break my heart. I have read so many contemporary romances, but there was something different about this one. It drew me in and held me there like I was frozen and holding my breath. It was so good, it has so many amazing tropes that I have listed out below. You will fall immediately in love with the single dad Guy and his sick daughter Emma. They are such good characters. I was so invested in Emma’s health. Our FMC Sienna was so likable and her heart-mending journey was a pleasure to read.

The audiobook was narrated by Haley Taylor and she did a great job. She perfectly represented each character and the emotions were spot on. I loved the location of the book on a Ranch in Idaho. It was so scenic and such an interesting backdrop.

First of all, thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review an ARC of this book. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances I was unable to download and review this book on time. That said, I have since purchased this book and have read it, there fore would still love to complete this review.

I did however read the kindle version and therefore am unable to comment on the narration.

With my own husband on a heart transplant list, this story help a special place in my heart. Anything to do with hospitals and the road leading up to of from transplant always touch my heart.

This was a beautiful read and my eyes were wet all too often.

Jokingly, Sienna's friend puts out an ad in the paper for a marriage of convenience in celebration of Sienna's divorce. Guy, on a whim and a prayer, approaches Sienna in hopes of a Christmas miracle for him and his young and ill daughter. They find in each other the help they are both so desperate for.
Don't get me wrong, this book is incredibly well written and I gobbled up the audiobook. But it's so sad and heavy. I think knowing how light and humorous Sarah's older books are, I was not prepared for all of the weighted feelings The Christmas You Found Me invoked. That all said, the ending is endearing, the setting is beautifully described, and the romance so sweet for two hurting hearts. I'm so curious what Sarah will do next and will definitely pick up another from her.
The narrator, Hayley Taylor, may have well been part of the heavy feelings. Her voice is incredibly serious and the heartbreak screams through. I think anyone needing an ultimately uplifting read will find a lot to love in listening to this audiobook.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the alc. All thoughts are my own.

Sarah Moranthaler is an author I go to when I need something that I can read and just get lost in and not have to stress about too much, and while this book is a little heavier than the other books of hers that I’ve read, it was by no means any less fab! I still got swept up in the holiday spirit and while I’m normally not much of a fan of instagram-love, but in this case, Guy, was somebody it’d be hard not to fall for, instantly or otherwise. Emma was adorable in doing her part to bring Sienna and Guy together and it overall is just a Hallmark movie of a book. Be forewarned, there is a very sick little girl involved, so if that’s a trigger for you, you may want to avoid this one.
While I would hate the idea of my friends running an ad for a fake husband as a joke after my divorce, it does lend itself to a fab story and the reason why Guy replies to the ad and Sienna accepts just melted my cold heart.
This is all you could ask for in a holiday read and an easy audiobook to listen to.
Thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the ALC in exchange for my review.

The Christmas You Found Me
by Sarah Morganthaler
narrated by Haley Taylor

This was such a sweet story with a little sad and a HEA.

Sienna is recently without a fiancé, because he was a cheating dirt bag. She's also in financial strain because of said dirt bag. Her friends think it'll be helpful to place an ad for Sienna looking for a husband for hire. They call it a joke but we know these things have a way of working out.

Enter, Guy. Guy finds the ad and is beyond dignity when he approaches Sienna to apply for the Fake Husband position. Guy is desperate to keep his daughter, whose kidneys are failing, name on the transplant list.

These three (because I'm going to count Emma as a main character) are so freaking sweet. This story plays out so well, is nicely written, had me crying, and that HEA is worth the read!

Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and the author for the opportunity to listen to and review this story.
