Wow! This book was raw, intense, and so very beautiful. What a love story! I adored Aleena and Jared. Their story was just unbelievable. I cried a lot, but it was simply perfect.

Come To Me Softly is the second book in the Close to You series. Amy wrote the beginning in a way for it to be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading Come To Me Quietly first. You will then get the full story of Aly and Jared’s beginning. If you did read the first book, this one starts exactly where you left off. I don’t want to spoil anything so I will make this fast.

Jared wants to be better. Aly makes him want to be better. He wants her to have everything. Happiness. Dreams. Love. Aly knows he can give her all of that but she wants to give him the same things. The problem is that he doesn’t think he deserves it. That day almost seven years ago not only took someone he loved away but himself as well. Aly loves him. She always has and always will but he needs to find peace before they can have a future. Can Jared find peace before he loses the only one who knows him better than himself?

I thought this was a beautiful conclusion to Jared and Aly’s love story. Jared is so sweet but he has demons that come out and play once in awhile. He needs to shut those down. Face those ghosts. Aly just wants to help the only one she has ever loved but it’s not easy. The best things never are but she knows they are worth it.

Overall...it’s an emotional ride. One that I wish I took years ago. I am excited about Chris’s story! Hopefully it won’t take me as long to get to.
