I was very curious about this book, but not because I'll actually use this resource for career purposes. I solely wanted to know more about the inner workings of film and tv show making. I'm one of those people who love watching bonus content on DVDs to see how it was filmed and so on, so getting a (detailed) glimpse into how the entertainment industry works is quite fascinating. Not all parts are worthy of attention depending on why you're reading it (some sections about business technicalities were definitely more useful for someone looking to work in this industry), but overall it's an interesting read to look behind the scene and see how a feature film or a sitcom comes to life.

I have an older copy from 2008 back when I first started working at UTA, and what an absolute help it was as a young mailroomer. I was thrilled to see this has been updated (since dealmaking is so different now!) and will continue to be a wonderful resource for young industry professionals, creatives, and those curious about the business of film and television. Bravo, highly recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.
