It was a cute book. There were some good insights in it too. The pacing was great because everything was moving along pretty well in the story. I will be reading more books from this author! If you enjoy reading Amish marriage of convince clean romance books then I would try this one out.
This ARC was given to me by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
A heart warming and captivating Amish Romance story that I really enjoyed reading. I have read many books by this Author and I can truthfully say that I thought A Stolen Kiss is the best book that Steele has written. My interest was peaked from start to finish . I loved the characters and the story line of this romance. It was unpredictable , inspirational, romantic and the ending was beautiful. What more could I ask for? This book has everything I want to find in a sweet Amish romance novel. One of the reasons that I keep reading this author’s books.
The two main characters are LeEtta Miller and Benuel Ropp. When a handsome Amish stranger shows up at the Sunday church gathering all the ladies heads are turned in his direction. Only one head catches his attention. But Ben Ropp has other things on his mind . Bitterness and resentment lives in his heart. He won’t be in town long and the last thing he needs right now is a girlfriend to make things complicated. Ben has a reason to be in Cherry Grove and soon he will be leaving. Still he can’t help thinking about that pretty strawberry blonde Amish Maedel sitting across the isle from him.
I highly recommend A Stolen Kiss to readers of Amish Fiction, woman’s Fiction and fans of Mindy Steele. This book is part of The Heart of the Amish series but can be read as a standalone. It is scheduled for release on 12/1 24.
I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions expressed here in this review are entirely my own.

Who kissed whom first? Well it was a mutual like, in my opinion, either way. Ben and LeEtta had just met on a walk through the woods and he offered to walk her home. That was the beginning of a lot of misunderstanding and possibly exaggerating about what happened when Jonas, who is too young yet has a huge crush on LeEtta, came upon them. Ben and LeEtta are pushed into a quick marriage but will it last? Will love blossom and grow for them? They both have issues from their past that they are struggling to overcome. LeEtta's mother died giving birth to her so she was raised by a very protective father with help from her grandmother. Ben has trust issues that stem from people he was close to betraying him. Can either of them allow God to heal their hurts and open their hearts to let another person in? I enjoyed the ups and downs for Ben and LeEtta and twists and turns throughout this story. The characters are all very realistic and enhance the story line. There is a great ending which is a bit of a surprise.
I recieved an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
As someone who lives in a different subculture that media often gets wrong, I was intrigued to read a romance set in the Amish community. The story was charming and totally Rated G clean, which was a nice change from many steamy romance novels.
There’s family drama, misunderstandings, surprising attractions and even a fearful moment or two that come up after the reader is engaged with the characters.
I’m not Amish, and neither is the author, so it’s impossible to tell how accurately their lifestyle was portrayed, but if you’re looking for a closed door romance with a bit of someone else’s culture woven in, this novel fits the bill.

Amish Romance
LeEtta Miller’s mother died shortly after she was born. She was raised by her father, Arlen, to the best of his ability; he did everything he could to keep her safe. LeEtta is about 24 years old, she can bake delicious bread but most of her cooking leaves a lot to be desired. Arlen had an accident and crushed his elbow; his elbow has not healed properly, and he needs replacement surgery. With Arlen being unable to work money is scarce. LeEtta wants to help out on their farm, but her Daed refuses to allow her to do anything not considered woman’s work. LeEtta loves to read, especially romance books; she daydreams about kissing.
Benuel Ropp came to Kentucky when his father turned the family farm over to younger brother. Ben felt he was entitled to the farm; he invested money, he worked hard but his father turned everything over to his younger brother. His plan is to raise money at Cherry Grove and return to Ohio to buy a farm he has his eye on. Then he saw LeEtta, she was attractive. When their eyes locked on each other there was a warm feeling. He had no intention of making friends, having a girlfriend or getting married; he was in Cherry Grove for one reason and one reason only.
Ben couldn’t resist asking LeEtta to allow him to walk her home. Unable to resist the impulse, LeEtta stole a kiss and Ben returned it. Unfortunately, Jonas saw the intimate gesture. Jonas was a sixteen-year-old brat. He was struck on LeEtta, he was obsessed. Jonas made a poor choice, and it backfired on him.
Love and the traditions that go along with it are not always easy to navigate. The characters in this story are all flawed and precious. Ben is my least favorite. He is resentful and ungrateful; however, he did finally change. LeEtta is sweet and tries so hard to please everyone. Onieda was a delightful character and so was Mammi Iola. This book teaches us God has a plan for our lives and love is a gift.
Thank you NetGalley for the review copy.
The more I read any of the Heart of the Amish books, the more and more deeply I feel for them and with them. You see how hard they try, and you just want them to be able to succeed and just have the life that you know God wants them to have. Yes, I know they're just fictional characters, however, the way Mindy Steele writes them, they just feel so real to the reader.
I knew from the beginning that Benuel and LeEtta were going to be together. They were already so much alike, even if they couldn't necessarily see it in the beginning. Sometimes God gives us what we need instead of what we want and a lot of the time (I know this from experience) that what we needed ends up being exactly what we wanted in the end anyway, just in a different capacity.
I loved how protective of LeEtta Arlen was and how even in the end, he learned to be able to bend some and realize how much of a woman she had become. Benuel was super hardheaded, and I knew he would take a bit to come around, but even from the beginning, I could feel how much he wanted to be more like LeEtta, he just didn't know how yet.
This story is a perfect example of how even though things may start off harder than you expected, to stick with it, because the end is so worth it. You can really see where God is working in this story, and I just loved every second of it.
Thanks to Net Galley, the publishers, and to Mindy Steele for the ability to read and review this book. All opinions are my own and are completely honest.
What a wonderful Amish story. What a ride! I don't think I've read a marriage of convience in an Amish community before. Many ups and downs and I felt all of the characters emotions. It was a real treat to and I enjoyed every moment.
If you're a fan of Amish romance novels, then "A Stolen Kiss" by Mindy Steele is an absolute must-read! This enchanting story swept me off my feet and reaffirmed my love for Steele's work. Her knack for weaving heartfelt narratives with rich, authentic characters is truly remarkable.
In "A Stolen Kiss," we follow the journey of two souls navigating the complexities of love and tradition in their close-knit Amish community. Steele's vivid descriptions and emotional depth bring the characters to life, making their struggles and joys resonate deeply with the reader. I found myself fully invested in their story, rooting for their happiness through every twist and turn.
Mindy Steele has a unique talent for capturing the beauty of Amish life while exploring the themes of love, sacrifice, and the importance of community. Her writing style is both engaging and soothing, making it easy to get lost in the pages.

A Stolen Kiss is a well written Amish romance. I enjoyed the plot and the character dynamics. I recommend this book. I received an advance ebook from the publisher and Netgalley. This is my unbiased review.
A STOLEN KISS took me by surprise with how much it touched my heart. I was intrigued by the concept of a “forced marriage” because of a simple kiss and was interested in how it would all play out. In the end, the storyline flowed quite nicely and the “forced marriage” was understandable. LeEtta had my heart. She was such an incredible character. I loved her sweet and caring nature and she’d a tear or two over everything she went through. Ben, on the hand got my motor running over his stubbornness and stupidity. I wanted to throttle him but then just as quickly he won me over when he got out of his own head. This book kept me engaged. I truly enjoyed it. I’m giving A STOLEN KISS the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval , TBR and Enjoy!
Five stars from me.
As always I love a good Mindy Steele book and she hasn't let me down yet.
This was a fantastic read that I just finished. I enjoyed if very much.
God's timing and plan are very much a part of this story. It reminds us of our purpose here in life whether we are Amish or English.
LeEtta is an usual name but a pretty one. I've really enjoyed in getting to know her and Ben too.
Love does find us doesn't it? No matter where we are at. Love is a gift from God as is family and friends.
I really hope that Mammi Iola gets her chance too. She deserves her chance as well as everyone else
The one I loved especially was Onieda. She's a gentle soul. And a very wise woman. I loved how she put a certain someone in his place.
I also liked how Steele shows us that time does heal all wounds. Time has a way of doing that you know.
I loved every minute of this story and yes sometimes it made me laugh and hold my breath.
I highly recommend!
My thanks for a copy of this wonderful novel. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.
I enjoy all books by this author and A stolen kiss was no exception.. LeEtta was raised by her dad, her mom died at her birth. She had lived a shelter life her dad keeping her close to home and watching out for her, so at twenty-two she had not dated let alone kissed. Ben had came to visit his grandparents and work to save money for his own farm, when he's walking a wooded trail he runs into LeEtta after introducing themselves he ask to walk with her home and she agreed.. Little did they know this walk home would change both their lives. I really loved reading this book, it kept me interested and wanting to read more.. I'm glad I was given the chance to read it by Netgalley and I wasn't required to leave a review it was of my own.

Entertaining Christian romance that was predictable, but still enjoyable. Picking a book like this, the reader usually has expectations, and the author doesn’t disappoint. The stereotypes are there, but a few exceptions, and the way they play out make for a good, quick read.
Can a kiss change your life? Yes when it is an Amish couple, La Etta Miller and Benuel Ropp had first seen each other across the aisle at church, Benuel was new to the area and LaEtta was a native, she thought Benuel was cute with his dark hair and bright blue eyes.
But LaEtta was motherless and not popular with the boys, except 15 year old Jonah, a young teen. Benuel had gotten in trouble with the wrong crowd, he had been disinherited and was working for a pig farmer.
LaEtta saw Benuel by her house and they walked around her land and stopped to talk and admire the animal - shaped clouds. LaEtta and Benuel moved closer together and LaEtta on impulse kissed Benuel ! They drew apart, but Jonah was spying on LaEtta and he told LaEttas' father that they were kissing and cuddling and they had to get married!
Benuel said that LaEtta kissed him on impulse and that they did not do anything else, they barely knew each other!
But Amish custom said they had to get married so they did.....
