I enjoyed how this book reminds us that God values all cultures and people and how we need to shape our life and practices to look more like Jesus. I really appreciated the book's focus and reminder that: "We are meant to be like Jesus in our home culture, in our heart language, and throughout our collective journey to understand how our diversity of cultures points us to a better expression of God’s good image."

J. W. Buck gives us insights into how cultural identity fits into our walk as Christians and reminds us of how Jesus teaches us to humbly embrace our own identity while at the same time embrace others and allow space for their cultures/identities.

There were a few times/sections where the book seemed a bit repetitive but on the whole it was well written with a great message and focus for our practice to be more like Christ.
