FBI profiler Laurel Snow is back again to help solve some more grizzly murders. Once again she has hook help but this time they seem to find remnants of old cases involved. Also, they must deal with laurels psychotic sister. Abigail has her own ideas of trying to protect Laurel in her own way. This book once again is a forensic mystery and at the same time has the most complicated characters and relationships which keep you into the book from start to finish

I enjoyed this book need to go read the others it was a short but interesting novel a little creepy and and scary

You Can Kill starts where we left off. Laurel is thrust straight into a new case. Each of her team members are leaving town for various reasons. Suddenly Huck is shoved into the middle of a case Laurel is working on. Now he’s no longer the person she can rely on the most. There are many ups & downs throughout this novel. As usual we are kept on our toes til the end.

I was happy to dive into the latest Laurel Snow murder-mystery romantic suspense novel. You Can Kill by Rebecca Zanetti has FBI Agent Laurel Snow & Washington Fish and Wildlife captain, Huck Rivers, dealing with the murder of women, an escaped convict, as someone trying to isolate Laurel. A gripping tale with loss, danger and more awaits you.
I love this series set in the Pacific Northwest. Laurel is an interesting character who has eidetic memory and now works as a profiler for the FBI. They’ve opened this unit directly across the hall from the Fish and Wildlife department. Huck & Laurel, along with his K9 partner, Aeneas, been navigating a relationship and have settled into a happy place, but all that is about to be threatened. I love the two of them together.
Laurel is sure her father and sister Abigail are up to nefarious things, including murder, and she cannot quite figure out what their game is. Abigail is dangerous and the more we learn, the more I share Laurel’s fear. Jason Abbott, the serial killer locked up in the previous book has managed to escape. Did Abigail aid him, or maybe his girlfriend? When the drowned bodies of local females turn up close, Laurel has to decide who is involved and why.
She needs her team more than ever, but trips, emergencies and accusations isolate her. The story that unfolds was suspenseful, with plenty of action and near-death experiences. Laurel and Huck suffer loss to and I felt for them.
While we got closure for the murders, there are still threads yet to be solved. I am equally vested in the romantic thread as well and want Laurel happy.
Fans of romantic suspense and clever murder-mystery cases should start from the beginning of the Laurel Snow series. I devoured You Can Kill and cannot wait for the next one!

Another good mystery involving Laurel and Huck! Blond women are turning up dead and the question is does Genesis Valley have another murderer or is it escaped serial killer Jason Abbott? Amazingly - the victims keep having one person in common…Huck.
A great cast of characters and a mystery that keeps you guessing with unexpected twists and turns. I love this series and can’t wait to see what happens next!
Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The small Washington town of Genesis Valley has had more than its fair share of serial murders this past winter; enough to see FBI Special Agent In Charge Laurel Snow headquarter the Pacific Northwest Violent Crime Unit out of her hometown. Maybe Laurel and her boyfriend, Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers, can finally catch a break and focus on their new pregnancy?
Alas, it is not to be! New homicides are happening, each with a shadow of their past cases or even to our intrepid duo themselves. Who is messing with Laurel and Huck? There are plenty of suspects in play: Jason Abbott, who is yet to be tried as the Witch Creek Killer; Pastor Zeke Caine, who Laurel is certain is guilty of something, but has yet to prove it; and, Abigail Caine, Laurel’s brilliant narcissist half sister.
Laurel and Huck are a formidable investigative alliance. The PNWVC Unit is nevertheless greatly understaffed and growing smaller by the minute. It’s almost as if circumstances have conspired to weaken the team! Although Laurel can hold her own, Huck is the alpha protective type, and is hovering even closer now that he is about to become a father. I adore Laurel and Huck. They are such a great couple. Isolated but compatible, reserved but intuitive, deserving of one another’s loyal nature, and sizzling between the sheets. They make cops look so sexy!
For her part, Abigail’s unflinching but unrequited attempts to become close to Laurel would be tragic if not for her creepy, scary, over-the-top arrogance and lack of boundaries. There’s a dangerous dynamic between Laurel and Abigail … it’s so competitive and high stakes. Although Laurel and Huck’s relationship anchors the series, Abigail by herself is worth dipping one’s toes into the shark pool. The author’s development of this villain has reached delightfully diabolical heights and I lived for her each next appearance. With these three characters, Rebecca Zanetti has thriller, suspense, romance, and dark comedy well-covered.

It had been a while since I read the last Laurel Snow book so there was a little something I had forgotten that was a nice surprise. It’s also amazing to remember how awesome these books are. Each time Laurel opens up a little more. She’s always 100% the smartest person in the room but she’s letting emotions out as she and Huck become embroiled in more murders. These are hitting a little too close to home.
But the ending, really Rebecca? How could you??
This is 5 star worthy, all the way.

The series continues with another suspenseful grisly read. If you haven't read the 3 previous books I recommend reading them in order. This book picks up shortly after the 3rd book and has continuing storylines. I really enjoy the suspense in this series and how the author keeps you guessing until the end as to who the killer is. There is also the ongoing tension between Laurel and her half sister Abigail and their father Zeke. I like that some of that situation has been resolved in this book, but I was hoping things would turn out a bit differently for Laurel. I don't want to say too much and spoil the ending of the book for anyone else. Now I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in the series to find out how things work out for Laurel. Thanks to Netgalley for the arc.

"You Can Kill" by Rebecca Zanetti is a gripping and fast-paced thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. FBI profiler Laurel Snow and Fish and Wildlife Officer Huck Rivers team up once again to solve a series of brutal murders, all of which tie back to Laurel’s past cases. The story is packed with action, suspense, and intriguing characters, especially Laurel’s dangerously clever half-sister, Abigail. While some parts of the plot feel a bit over-the-top, the story remains engaging and hard to put down. Zanetti masterfully balances the twists and turns, making it a real page-turner. Fans of the Laurel Snow series will enjoy this latest installment, and new readers will be drawn in by the mystery and emotional depth of the characters. Overall, "You Can Kill" is a thrilling, emotional, and satisfying read.

I was happy to continue the Laurel Snow series. I like Laurel and Huck. Abigail and Zeke are wacky characters, a bit cliche in their evil as malignant narcissists. We learn more about Laurel and Huck personally. It was especially great to get more of Huck's history.
The murders and the capabilities of Jason Abbott and others to escape or continue to commit crimes seems a bit over the top. That Laurel and Monty would be short staffed and unable to gather other assistance seems unusual. Although sometimes help means they try to take over the case.
Laurel and Huck take many great steps in gathering evidence to solve the case. And I was so glad when they sent Laurel's mother out of town. I am unhappy that both Huck and Laurel relied on their own skills and did not always have backup or support. They knew they were under fire, how serious it was, and yet did not secure protection or backup.
You Can Kill was easy to read and the culprits were not always clear. It was engaging even if it was over the top in a few aspects. The ending had things in a good place.

You Can Kill 🔪
You Can Kill is the next book in the Laurel Snow series and is just a phenomenal read❣️Once again, Laurel is investigating multiple murders in their small town but as the danger closes in around her, she takes protective steps to protect those she cares about. Another action packed and intriguing story which kept me guessing. Loved it and looking forward to more😍

I received a advance reader's copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving this review.

FBI SA Laurel Snow and Fish and Wildlife Officer Hank Rivers are once again chasing a serial killer in this latest in fast paced romantic suspense series that likely will be most appreciated by those who have read at least one of the previous books. Laurel's sister Abagail (perhaps the most intriguing character) and her father figure in here as well. And there's a dog. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A page turner.

Be sure to read this series in order!
While it is possible to read each book as a standalone, there is a continuing story that runs through them.
In book 4 of the series, FBI agent Laurel Snow works once again with Huck Rivers, from Fish and Wildlife to solve new murders that are very personal. A series of events, leave Laurel isolated from her team and battling to keep her family safe.
Zanetti will have you hooked, waiting to see who is responsible for each of the murders, what is their endgame and will they catch the killer before it's too late. Prepare for the battle Snow has with her evil (psychopath) family members, for revelations and emotional moments.

FBI agent Laurel Snow works closely with Huck Rivers, a Fish and Game Warden, who is also her significant other. Laurel is tracking an escaped serial killer while dealing with her half-sister, Abigail, and her father, Zeke, pastor of a local church, who is back in town. Laurel is also dealing with being short-staffed. The body count is rising and one in particular gets Huck removed from the case. Officially. But he’s not about to let Laurel go it alone.
A fast-paced, most excellent, edge-of-your-seat thriller!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Bravo Ms Zanetti!
This is a fabulous read and 4th instalment in Laurel Snow Series.
I loved being back with Laurel, Huck and their crew in Genesis Valley trying to solve the mystery of the latest serial killer.
Ms Zanetti kept me guessing and I don’t know how many times I changed my mind on who I thought was the serial killer.
The villains in this series are ones you love to hate!
The relationship development for our quirky FBI agent Laurel and her introverted, unwavering and protective Huck warmed my heart and I am so happy they found each other.
There are a lot of characters to keep track of so be prepared.
Whilst you can read this as a standalone, because the author gives you all the backstory you need, it is the 4th in a series, I recommend you read them in order. It’s a fantastic series and you’d be missing out if you don’t!
A huge thank you to NetGalley, Kensington Publishing and Ms Zanetti for an early copy of this book.
YouCanKill #NetGalley.

What make this series different from other Romantic Suspense is the cast of supporting characters and I use the term "supporting" loosely here as some of them don't support at all. Anyway, this cast adds a darker element that is not often seen in RS.
A serial killer escapes custody and a woman is found drowned and frozen by a river. The MO is different, so another killer has to be considered, and the jurisdiction shared as the body is on both State and Federal land. It is another complication when Washington Fish and Wildlife Captain, Huck Rivers believes at first that this is the body of his mother. When another body is found behind the church of FBI Agent Laurel Snow's estranged sperm donor, Zeke Caine, the case gets much more complicated.
Each murder is related to a prior case that Laurel and Huck worked, and Laurel's wacko half-sister Abigail Caine inserts herself right in the middle of both the case and Laurel and Huck's lives. Abigail claims she only wants to protect Laurel from their father, but Laurel has her doubts about her true motive. With people she cares deeply about are threatened, Laurel is taking no chances with her own safety and she and Huck use every skill they possess to find this killer.
My thanks to the Publisher and the Author for providing a complimentary digital Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this novel via NetGalley. This is my fair, honest and personal review. All opinions are mine alone and were not biased in any way.

Laurel and Huck are back and it’s another gruesome case as women turn up dead close to water. It cannot be a coincidence that a local killer has recently escapes custody, but this one has a connection to Huck what is really going on?? Brutal murders to solve, Laurels evil manipulative father/sperm donor is back in town and of course her with her twisted half-sister around what more could does this couple have to deal with? Well for Laurel it's the murder business as usual with a killer on the loose and each murder is related to a prior case that Laurel and Huck worked,
This was an excellent addition to the series with a shocker of an ending. I've heard of keeping enemies close but what if it's family, no matter how loosely connected? Can’t wait to see where this brilliant series will take us next!! Solid 5+ Stars!!!!!

Full of exciting thrills, this book is sure to delight anyone who loves to follow the trail to find a killer! Once again, I really enjoyed joining Laurel and Hank on this search for answers!

3.5 stars, and here's why: I have enjoyed this series a lot and always look forward to the next book. I will say, however, that this one wasn't my favorite. It felt like Laurel was getting outsmarted at every turn, and then of course Huck had Murphy's Law working against him: everything that could go wrong did go wrong. I understand that the main characters need to face obstacles, but this was a bit too much. And some of these characters are just over the top. Is anyone in real life as clueless yet successful as Rachel? And Huck's boss--he said and did so many inappropriate things that wouldn't be tolerated today. Most of the likeable characters are hardly around in this one (which is part of the plot), which meant that the vast majority of the book is overrun with the characters we're meant to hate. Unfortunately, that icky feeling they give us takes over without the balance of more of the good characters. I read to relax and escape, but I was so filled with anger and disappointment at the characters and circumstances that I didn't relax at all. Now, will I stop reading the series? Nope. I've truly enjoyed it up to this point, and I'm going to consider this a necessary downer in the overall progression of the series.
