I discovered this author purely by chance on Instagram, and volunteered to read an arc of her book.
I enjoyed it so much, that now when I see she has a new book coming out I don't even need to read the blurb as I know want to read it and that I will enjoy it.
This one was no different - such an easy to read book, with very likeable characters.
I actually loved the banter between the 2 main characters and laughed out loud more than once at their puns throughout the book.
I also learnt something new about Dora the Explorer too after being a mum for 8 and a half years - who knew?! 🤣
Great read, would definitely recommend

Paris, Pumpkins, and Puns is a charming and cozy romcom that takes you on a fun adventure through Paris in the fall. The vivid descriptions of the city made me feel like I was walking the streets of Paris, experiencing the food and atmosphere firsthand. The puns throughout the book were entertaining, even though some were a bit cheesy, but they definitely added humor and lightness to the story.

The descriptions of this books were so vivid I felt i was in Paris eating French food. The fake dating trope is well-executed here, and the chemistry between the characters, especially between the main character and Olivier, is delightful. Their relationship grows naturally through cute moments like cooking lessons and trips to the autumn festivals. It’s a quick and enjoyable read that gives you the warm, cozy vibes you’d expect from a fall romance.

One thing that surprised me was the closed-door romance, as I had expected something different. While it wasn’t what I anticipated, the story still delivered a sweet and satisfying romance that kept me invested. Overall, it’s a lovely, lighthearted book perfect for anyone who enjoys romcoms with fun puns and a beautiful Parisian setting.

Thank you to NetGalley for approving me for this arc.

This book was such a cute cozy fall read 💖

The main characters were really loveable - especially the fmc. I loved how strong and independent she was - but also how real and relatable. The chemistry between the two main characters was so cute. There were just enough will-they-won’t-they moments to keep me turning each page.

The humour in his book was spot on. It had me laughing at all the right moment and the cheesy puns. If I’m being picky, there were a few parts that dragged a lot which is why it’s not a full 5 stars.

If your looking for something to curl up with this autumn, I highly recommend this book

ARC Review:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Hazel, a food critic, was given the assignment of her dreams; or so she thought. She was sent to Paris to review several restaurants. But the Paris she envisioned is far from what she got, due to a workers strike.

Olivier, is the new chef at a Michelin star palace. He was chosen to replace his father after a health scare. Unfortunately, with the new title comes expectations. He is stripped of all creativity and required to maintain the menu and Michelin stars he inherited.

The two are brought together over an encounter in which they discuss the food and ambiance of Paris. What started out as a simple conversation soon leads to an invitation. After two weeks together, will Hazel finally witness the Paris of her dreams and will Olivier’s love of cooking be reinvigorated?

I had the pleasure of reading Paris, Pumpkins, and Puns by Marion De Re’. This is the third of seven books in the Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice series. However, each book is written as a standalone that can be read and enjoyed in any order.

I was captivated by this sweet, closed door romance. As a foodie who loves to cook and bake, I instantly connected with Hazel and Olivier. They inspired me to get in the kitchen and whip up some of their creations, as well as my own.

In addition to sparking culinary ideas, Olivier and Hazel were highly entertaining. The two had me in stitches the entire book. Who knew there were so many food puns?

Be sure to read this book if you enjoy:
-fake dating
- forced proximity
-secret identity
-he falls first
- body positivity

Special thanks to Netgalley and Marion De Re’ for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was so cozy and romantic! It gave me the feel of a Christmas romance, only set in fall instead. I loved both Hazel and Olivier, and thought they were so great together. Reading about all the cooking and food was so much fun, and of course there were the experiences of the sparking Eiffel Tower, small French villages and market places, and even a romantic getaway to a chateau. I loved the body positive aspect of this story, and made Hazel seem so much more relatable as a character. This was such an enjoyable read!

Emily in Paris vibesss!!!! I absolutely devoured this story. I finished it in 1 day. This was the ultimate RomCom. I really wish Netflix would pick this up!! The plot is so great! its such a fluffy feel good romance. I loved that the main fmc was curvy and the MMC was a complete golden retriever boyfriend! Having a romance set in Paris with realistic vibes about Paris is "chefs kiss". All of the food puns and the fake dating trope really helped develope the plot. This is the ultimate fall cosy Rom Com read! I highly highly recommend!!!

Striped sweaters, baguettes, and berets-the perfect cliche for a French man, yet sweet Olivier delivers all that (plus butternut squash gnocchi, cinnamon pancakes, and more) for Hazel in Paris, Pumpkins, &Puns. Marion De Ré truly delivered, as she always does, in this sweet, cozy, and punny romcom.
Olivier, an extraordinary chef whose creative endeavors are squashed by his boss, is drawn to visiting Hazel. Hazel, an undercover food critic visiting Paris, is drawn to Olivier when she meets him, even if the city repulses her.
When an unforeseen event traps Hazel in the city with nowhere to go, Olivier opens his home, and ultimately his heart, to Hazel. Now, he has to convince Hazel to fall in love with his beloved city and him. But when the truth of Hazel’s identity is revealed, can their blossoming relationship survive?
With a little forced proximity, fake dating, and very real kisses, this sweet story is a beauty. Check it out and discover how Olivier and Hazel find their HEA!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Thoughts and opinions are my own,

3.5 ⭐️

this book takes you to paris in autumn, to the farmers markets and the autumn festivals. it's a short, fast-paced read, and it takes u through a journey of a girl who has to decide whether or not to move to paris. she has heard all about how great paris is, but when she gets there, she finds that the reality is very different from her expectations. she decides she doesn't want to stay, but the strikes keep her stuck in paris for a while more. and when she sees the good-looking chef in the restaurant, she takes him up on his offer to stay in his guest-room.

i found the puns to be really cute, but as it went on, it started to pull me out of the story. especially since they started appearing in the middle of the story and went on and on. the problems they had between them also felt unresolved. with the book being so fast-paced, they had arguments, but a page later, they seemed to be completely okay, everything forgotten.

however, this book was still an enjoyable read and was sprinkled with the taste of autumn.

Thank you Marion for this copy of Paris, Pumpkins & Puns.
I was transported into a cosy autumnal world in Paris. It really was a dream seasonal book to read filled with love and humour.
The switch between reading both the main characters points of view really helped you to immerse yourself into the setting and live within their world.
The storyline was captivating whilst staying cosy and really leading you up to see how their love story was going to play out and end!
I would summarise this as the perfect autumn read and could definitely see myself picking this up in the future again!

They both balance each other's lives out in their everyday activities interactions with each other. The characters were real delight! 🎙️

I was in love with Olivier! He has a sweet infused nature and such a genuine kindness. Puns are very present in this book and I adored it all! 📖

This is the cosiest autumn fall romance I’ve had the pleasure to read.
It’s a dual point of view romance/ fake dating, with lots of food puns, cute interactions between the main characters,
I was giggling all the way through and loved how the ending turned out.
I will 100% be adding this collection to my fall reading list every year! And I can’t wait to read more from the author

Hazel has been sent on an assignment for work, miles away from her home in sunny Florida to foodie heaven: Paris. On a mission to bring some great reviews to her boss, Hazel finds herself in the company of Olivier, master chef living in his father’s shadow… and it shows in his food.

Hazel finds herself stranded in Paris with the ongoing strikes and when a beautiful French Man offers you his home, you take it. Hiding her true identity to not offend her host of her not so positive review, Hazel if forced into close proximity with her host and it seems that more than leaves will be falling this Autumn. 🍂 🍁

A deliciously cosy, food-filled, Autumn read. Tropes containing, close proximity, fake relationship all give for a cute will-they, won’t-they vibe. The book is slow to build and at times felt drawn out with a rushed, sudden ending. It’s a short novel so I feel like elements could have been skipped or characters developed to give a longer more enhanced read. It’s a lovely romantic cosy Autumn book but lacks the depth to solidify itself as a top romance book.

She's given the opportunity to visit Paris with the opportunity of transferring there for work. Will Paris live up to the hype? What will her decision be? He's given the chance to take over for his dad but not the freedom to add his personal touches? Will it be enough? How do they meet?

This is a rom-com that exposes the difference between reality and fiction yet still has the HEA.

I received a copy of this book from the author. Review voluntarily given.

Closed door male female dual point of view contemporary rom com. This is the 3rd standalone book in the multi author series Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice.
I love a fake dating trope! I really enjoyed all the characters - main and secondary. There is a dreaded 3rd act breakup, but of course later a happy ending. This was a sweet fun read perfect for fall.

It's almost Fall so what am I doing? Reading Fall themed books of course and this one hits the nail right on the head. Who doesn't love a rom com with the cutest Fall cover?
An American food critic is sent to Paris to do food reviews for her work. Now a person dining alone in Paris maybe should set off bells but after taking over his dad's restaurant head chef, Oliver doesn't think anything about it he just wants to impress his customers. He can't help thinking how pretty this American customer is but she's less than impressed with this bland cooking. When she can't find a place to stay at a hotel he offers her a room at his house. She takes it on a friends only basis. But when his mother tries once again to matchmake for him he tells her he has a new girlfriend, let the fake dating begin. What happens when your fake dating rules seem to become more of a bother as each day comes along. This foodie rom com is filled with delicious sounding food preparations on every page, the essence and elegance of Paris, and marvelous Fall vibes. What happens when you want to stop the fake dating and for it to become the real thing? When Oliver realizes she has kept a huge secret from him will she have to leaf? Filled with fun puns and lots of French language which only added to the charm of the story. I'd love to read more by the author.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

such a perfect cozy fun fall read! I loved the chemistry between Oliver and Hazel right from the beginning. I thoroughly enjoyed this book that kept me laughing and made it hard to put my kindle down.

This is such a sweet and wholesome book. The book had cozy fall vibes and puts you in the mood for the fall. I liked the foods and scenery of Paris.
I liked the characters, they were very sweet and they make a very cute couple. I loved Oliver's family, their interaction with Hazel. Kinda felt like it was little short and it the end I wanted more of the characters and their story. I didn't like how quickly was resolved the problem between Oliver and his father in the end, I don't wanna spoil anything so I'm not gonna go too deep into that. But it was really good autumn cozy book, I really liked the writing and the humor in the book.

Thank you to Marion De Re for sending me an ARC to review and to NetGalley for the opportunity!
