Ah man I really wanted to like this book. The premise and concept sounded amazing and reading the book I would say that there was so much potential. Sadly, I could not get along with the writing. The omniscent narrator was really unusual compared to other works now adays and I just felt like so many emotions did not get enough screen time because of it. To be switching between up to 3 peoples emotions in the course of one page is just too much and I would have preferred seperate POVs with more depth. Also the writing in general is rather simple but then drops some ancient words to adhere to the time I suppose?
Some of the other problems I had with the book were some story plots that seemed too handy and not really well introduced. Especially in the beginning when its about convincing the MC to take the deal.
Would have loved to read this book after another revision cycle but as it is now, it was hard to get through.
