God put happiness in each of our souls because He wants us to be happy. But so many of us get it wrong and look for fulfillment in the wrong places. In I Want Happiness For You, Pope Francis talks about what real, lasting happiness looks like—no matter what’s going on in your life or what situation you’re facing.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

I was looking forward to this book since I admire Pope Francis and grew up Catholic. I thought that the flow of the book was disjointed and jumped around. The transition from section to section didn't seem very smooth to me - like the following section was not a natural progression from what had been discussed before. I liked the inclusion of other quotes throughout, but that may have interrupted the flow a bit for me. Maybe if I was reading the hard copy instead of on my Kindle it would have been better. Overall I think the message of the book was good and while I could understand each section, I think it could have been better organized to get the message across in a clearer way.

I Want You to Be Happy: Finding Peace and Abundance in Everyday Life is a new book by Pope Francis. In it, he shares easily digestible thoughts on finding and maintaining happiness.
Living a virtuous Christian life is often perceived as synonymous with docility or meekness. In this book, Pope Francis encourages us to dream big and live boldly! He calls us to trust in God, seek adventures and enjoy the beauty of creation. Mercy, humility and kindness are all essential tools for the journey too.
I really enjoyed this read and found myself delighted by the references the Pope made to classic books—like The Lord of The Rings. I was also reminded that we have obligations to each other as humans that supersede the political and social boundaries of modern society.
If it were up to me, this would be essential reading for all Christians. Regardless of your denomination, I think you will be inspired and uplifted by what he has to say.
As a Catholic, I am especially honored to have received this ARC by FaithWorks in exchange for my honest review.
I Want You to Be Happy is available on February 18th.
